He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 18, 1948 and was the son of the late William and Fern Heath Gore. He was the husband of the late Silvia D’Aloisio Gore, who died on May 27, 2016. Richard was a graduate of Penn Hills High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He proudly served in the United States Army and later retired as a Pennsylvania welfare case worker. He was a history and movie expert and enjoyed reading and collecting books.

He was a 1974 graduate of the Allegheny County Police Academy, served as a McKeesport Police Officer for 27 years, later became the director of security for McKeesport Housing Authority for 10 years, and was part owner of Di’s Kornerstone Diner & Barbecue where he was the head bus boy. Michael also was the assistant bowling coach for McKeesport High School for 10 years.
