Marianne L. “Marney” Cosgrove, 81, of West Mifflin, was born in Homestead, June 26, 1939 to Ernest and Elizabeth (Luke) Lucas. She graduated from Homestead High School in 1957 and married Roger Cosgrove on May 10, 1958. She worked as an administrative secretary at Bettis Laboratories, McKeesport Hospital, and the University of Pittsburgh. She was an avid reader, loved crafting, and had a quick and clever wit; all of which she imparted to her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roger L. Cosgrove who passed away in October 2020. Marney is survived by daughters, Tracy DeCarlo and Kelly Linn; granddaughter, Leeanne (Benjamin) Carlucci and grandson, William Smollen with whom she had a special bond.
Marney passed away peacefully knowing that her family loved her, and in her words, she will always be “a constant source of amusement.”
Per her wishes a private service will be held. ARRANGEMENTS BY TEICHART-GRACAN FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.

Andrew M. Ferencz, 70, of West Mifflin, died June 9, 2021. He is the son of the late Andrew and Ann (Babjak) Ferencz. He is survived by his wife Connie (Cortazzo) Ferencz; daughters Shari (David) Horne of West Mifflin and Annie (Eric) Beeson of Morgantown, WV; grandchildren Hunter, Owen and Erin and brother Ronald P. Ferencz of West Mifflin. He was also preceded in death by sisters Marlene Goedeke and Kathy Lesko. Andrew was retired from both US Steel and Alco Parking Authority and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle, formerly St. Agnes Church. Friends will be received at Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, Duquesne, on Mon. June 14, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. A funeral mass will be held Tues. 10:00 am at St. Agnes Church. Sally M. Scalise, 90, of West Mifflin died March 12, 2020. She is the daughter of the late Louis and Gisel (Lucas) Juhasz and beloved wife of the late Frank V. Scalise. Sally is survived by her daughter Nicolette (Kevin) Laster; sons Mark Scalise and Gregory Scalise; grandson Jaxson Scalise; also nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Frank C. Scalise; sister Geri Lozano and brothers Robert and Charles Vizzini. Edward F. Welsh, 86, of Jefferson Hills, died May 22, 2021. Edward was the third of 11 siblings born to Fritz and Agnes Welsh in Natrona, Pa. He leaves behind his former wife Mary Welsh; daughter Michelene Welsh; son Rick Welsh; grandchildren Sara and Aaden; wife Teresa Conboy; step sons Brian (Tricia) Conboy and Chris (Jady) Conboy; step grandchildren Mark, Steven, Gabriel, Gannon, Talia and Reesa; siblings Dot (the late Dick) Modzelewski, Mary Agnes "Sis" (Vince) Valeri, Bern (the late Louis) Stipic, Bert (Jenny) Welsh, Peg (the late Gary) Pflugfelder, Kathy Welsh and Zita (the late James) Como. He was preceded in death by siblings John Welsh, Joe Welsh, and Roy Welsh. Ed attended St. Joseph grade school and high school. He then attended the Naval Academy of Annapolis. Upon graduation, he went on to serve his country in the AirForce, working on their missile systems. With his service time completed he embarked on earning his law degree at the University of Pittsburgh specializing in patents and litigation. He became a partner in the firm of Parmalee, Miller, Welsh & Kratz, working with many Pittsburgh companies including Heinz and Dravo. He found great joy in hunting and fishing or just enjoying what he called,"the great cathedral of the sky." A memorial mass will be held Friday, May 28 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 11:30 am. James H. Rickard, Sr., 87, of West Mifflin, died May 6, 2021. He is the son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Kottler) Rickard and beloved husband of the late Ida Mae (Herder) Rickard. Joni L. Riddlebaugh, 73, of West Mifflin, died April 13, 2021. She is the daughter of the late Harold and Louise Cutshall and beloved wife of the late Harry Riddlebaugh. Robert "Bob" Knight, 80, of North Huntingdon, formerly of White Oak, died April 11, 2021. He is the son of the late Robert and Margaret Knight. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Knowlson) Knight; sons Brian Knight, Thomas (Megan) Knight and Martin Knight; grandsons Jacob and Cameron and sister Patricia (Joseph) Villani.
Bob was a retired funeral director, working for many local funeral homes; an area representative for Bass-Mollett and Hydrol Chemical Co.; was a member of the Western Pennsylvania Association of Basketball Officials and Eastern Association of Interscholastic Football Officials. Bob was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin and a former member of St. Angela Merici Parish in White Oak.

William E. Duvall died Feb. 25, 2021 at the White Oak Manor in Charlotte, NC. Born May 13, 1930 with his twin brother Robert in Pitcairn, PA, Bill was the son of the late Joseph R. and Virginia (Schrenghost) Duvall. He graduated from Pitcairn High School in 1948, served in the US Army during the Korean War and graduated from Westminster College in 1958 with a Bachelors Degree in Economics. Bill worked most of his career in the Treasury Dept of US Steel. He was a talented shortstop for US Army baseball teams in Europe and many semi-pro teams in Western PA. During his four years at Westminster College, Bill played in every inning of every game and in 1958 he co-captained Westminster to the PA State Championship. The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Pye Traynor offered Bill a contract to play for the Pirates minor league team in Tampa Bay, but Bill left professional baseball to pursue his family interests and professional career. In 2002, Bill and his brother Bob were inducted into the PA East Boros Sports Hall of Fame. Bill was an avid tennis player and golfer. After moving to Charlotte, NC, to be near his daughter and grandsons, he worked at the Ballantyne Resort golf course during many of his retirement years. Bill was married for 64 years to Gladys Thompson, who predeceased him in 2020. He is survived by his daughter Renee (Kenneth Jr.) Bramlett; grandsons James and Samuel Bramlett; brother Robert (Mary Catherine) Duvall; brother-in-law Clifford (Patti) Thompson; nephews Robert (Ann) Duvall, David (Lori) Duvall & Clifford (Tracy) Thompson and niece Jennifer (Jerry) Yoder. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 10 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Pitcairn. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Pitcairn. Lynn Kocur, 68, passed away April 2, 2021 in Warminster, PA, formerly of West Mifflin, PA. She was born on September 2, 1952 in McKeesport, PA She is the daughter of the late John and Rose (Bacsi) Simo and beloved wife of the late Ernest Kocur. Michael J. Cseripko, 65, died Thursday February 4, 2021. He is the son of the late Joseph and Vivian (Nelson) Cseripko and husband of the late Darlene (Kraus) Cseripko. Norma P. Whitmore, 64, of Duquesne, died Dec. 31, 2020. Elizabeth "Libby" Kennedy passed away suddenly on December 31, 2020. Libby was a grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of 11. She was widowed by her husband Eugene "Spike" Kennedy in 1965. John R. Hagblom, 87, of West Mifflin died Thursday November 26, 2020. He is the son of late Henry and Anna Hagblom. Beloved husband of the late Florence Eileen (Shemago) Hagblom. He is survived by his son Richard (Wendy) Hagblom, granddaughter Nichole (Eric Jeffcoat) Hagblom, and great-grandchildren Anthony Swink, Zoey Jeffcoat, and Eric Jeffcoat Jr. He was preceded in death by his sister Virginia Robins. John was retired from Westinghouse Bettis, a member of St. Joseph Church, GBU Lifespan and the Duquesne Annex Firehall where he volunteered at the bingo and firemans fair, and also served in the U.S. Army.
