Tena Ruth Johnson Pletcher, 92, of Buena Vista passed away Thursday November 22, 2018. She was born April 23 1926 in Buena Vista, the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Ruth Odessa (McClean) Johnson. She owned and operated the Ralph L. Johnson Funeral Home in Buena Vista having been a licensed funeral director for nearly 70 years.
 
After graduating from high school in 1944 she approached her father and convinced him she wanted to become a funeral director. She attended Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. After graduating from mortuary school Ruth served her two year apprenticeship at the family funeral home in Buena Vista.

Laura Mae (Hansen) Kircher, age 69, of Liberty Boro passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018. She was born February 25, 1949 in Wilkinsburg, the daughter of the late Harry and Annetta (Hardman) Hansen. She worked as Doctor’s Assistant for over 10 years with Dr. David Jacobs in McKeesport. She enjoyed computers, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, flowers, and butterflies and was an avid reader. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Donald H. Kircher Sr.; grandson Breanne Byrne; and brother Harry “Bud” F. (Patti) Hansen. She is survived by her children Donald H. (Wilma) Kircher Jr. of Liberty Boro, Kristina R. (fiancé Melvin Rodgers) Byrne of Glassport and Karrie Anne (Rodney) Krivansky of Glassport; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and her dog Ginger.

Cameron and sisters Alberta Wilson and Bernadette Sedlar. Jean graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and received a master’s degree from Penn State University. She was a retired elementary school teacher for Norwin School District having taught at Scull Elementary School and was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, North Huntingdon. She is survived by her sons Daniel G. Cameron and his wife Sharon of Cherry Hill, NJ, James L. Cameron and his wife Jeanne of Beaver Falls, and Jeffrey A. Cameron and his wife Sherri of Leander, TX; her grandchildren Alexander (Katie) Cameron, Jessica (Evan) Dyer, Emily Cameron, and Madelyn Cameron; and a sister Mary Kay Cox of Pittsburgh.

She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Forest Hills. She worked in the drafting department of Westinghouse Corporation in East Pittsburgh for over 39 years before retiring. She volunteered at the museum in Wilmerding and was a proud supporter of President Donald Trump. Prior to retirement Mr. Walton was owner of R & H Screw Machine Company, the Walton Insurance Agency, as well as Walton Real Estate. He was a lifelong member of Westmoreland City Primitive Methodist Church where he was church organist for 70 years, served on the church Trustee Board, and acted as the church’s financial secretary.

She worked at the Irwin Bank and Trust as the bank manager for over 20 years before retiring. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Carolyn Miller. She is survived by her husband of over 56 years Donald “Don” F. Ditter, children Tammy (John) Blackwood of Rostraver and Donald R. “Dirt” (Dana) Ditter of Trafford; grandchildren Kolin and Megan Ditter; sister Anita (Robert) Minnix of Richmond, Virginia; brother Robert (Donna) Forgie of Turtle Creek; brother-in-law Tommy Miller; and many nieces and nephews especially Christopher and Carter Minnix who thought of her as “grandma”.

Lenny was a retired chef but more importantly a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved to fish and loved spending time with family especially pasta dinners on Sunday.
