Donald T. Johnson, 80, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022. He was born July 2, 1942 in McKeesport. Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Donna L. (Richards) Johnson. Don was a family man and proud of his sons and daughter’s in law; Neil and Wendy and Eric and Amy. Both families reside in North Huntington along with his grandchildren; Cory, Brady, Karlie, and Tanner Johnson. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and any family sporting event or family gathering. Donald also has brothers James (Janice) Johnson of Anna, Illinois, and Darrell Johnson of McKeesport, sister in-law Nancy (Ron) Crossett of Irwin, also numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces. Donald is the son of the late Norman and Alice (Gasser) Johnson of McKeesport.

Louise Ann Brendza, age 58, of West Mifflin, passed away on January 15, 2022, in Forbes Hospital. Born in McKeesport on December 18, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Anthony James and Ann Marie (Patrick) Brendza Sr. Louise loved to bake and loved children. She is the fiancé of Peter Mazzarese; sister of Susan (Dale) Schreckengost of Imperial, PA, David (Nadine) Brendza of Augusta, GA, Robert (Kathy) Brendza of Belmont, CA, and the late Anthony Brendza Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Sr. Lucille Toth, SDR, age 96, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 in the Divine Redeemer Motherhouse, Elizabeth Twp. Born November 23, 1925 in Cleveland, OH, she was a daughter of the late Emery and Margaret (Szinai) Toth. Sr. Lucille received her BS in Education from St. John College and also an associate's degree in business administration from Robert Morris University. She worked as a teacher, in the business office at the Divine Redeemer Memorial Hospital in St. Paul, MN, and as treasurer for the Villa St. Teresa in Darby. In her spare time, Sr. Lucille enjoyed reading, watching "Jeopardy" and "Little House on the Prarie," comic strips in the newspaper, and had a lovely singing voice.

Edward R. Koncerak, 62, of Irwin passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022. He was born February 9, 1960 in Wilkinsburg, a son of Catherine (Crans) Koncerak and the late Robert S. Koncerak. Prior to his retirement, Edward was a draftsman in the building industry. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, an Eagle Scout, and enjoyed painting, drawing and spending time with his brothers. He is survived by his loving daughter, Elena; brothers, Robert D. (Carol) Koncerak, William F. (Betsy) Koncerak and Kenneth G. (Adrienne) Koncerak. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the James W. Louis Caputo, age 94 of North Huntingdon, PA, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2022 in Greensburg, PA. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 plus years Frances (Sage) Caputo, daughter Laurin (Greg) Colner of Surf City, NC, son James Caputo of North Huntingdon, PA and his two loving grandchildren Elizabeth Colner of Raleigh, NC and Matthew Colner of Charlotte, NC. He was preceded in death by parents Anna Vacco and James Caputo and sister Theresa Bochicchio. Lou joined the Navy at 17 and was a World War II veteran. Upon his return home from the war, he was co-owner of an Appliance/HVAC installation business. In the late 1960’s, he changed careers and joined Matt’s Furniture (North Versailles, PA) as a Salesman until he retired. In the late 1970’s he took up golf and became passionate about the game. Over the years he accumulated 3 “Holes In One” and he shot his age at 85. Lou was a true Pittsburgh sports fan and loved his Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. One of his famous sayings was “What are you gunna to do?”. His family used to call him Mr. Fixit as he had a propensity to fix anything that broke. His charisma, beautiful smile, stories, and wit will never be forgotten. A celebration of Lou’s life is being scheduled for a later date. Dale A.R. Robinson, age 91, of McKeesport, died on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. He was born in Toledo, OH on June 9, 1931 and is the son of the late Roy C. and Lucy C. Allison Robinson. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After the war, he was employed as a train dispatcher for Conrail for many years. He was an associate member of the West Side United Methodist Church in McKeesport and the co-founder of the 10th Ward Task Force.

Patricia Pitts-Scott (fondly known as Patty), age 75, was born June 15th 1947 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was one of twelve children born to Haywood and Sarah (Bloss) Pitts.
As a child, she was known for being the life of the party, unintentionally funny, and having a dislike for any and all vegetables. All of which never changed once she became an adult.
She graduated from Duquesne High School in 1965 and went on to attend Connelley Technical Institute in Pittsburgh, PA where she received her Licensed Practical Nurse degree. She used her degree to get a job as an LPN at UPMC McKeesport where she worked for 49 years. It was during her time at UPMC that she met her husband, Wendell Scott, whom she was married to until his passing in 2009.

Sanutelli of Belleville, MI; her six grandchildren; her twenty-four great-grandchildren; her four great-great-grandchildren; and also many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Larry D. Burchell and her siblings, Darrell, Doyle, Malcolm, Wilbur and Ralph Kitchen, Dorothy Beattie, Eileen J. Diamond and Zetta J. Freeman.

Carlene Virginia Richards, 81 of Port Vue, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022. She was born July 28, 1940 in Columbus OH, and is the daughter of the late Carl Faulstick, Sr. and the late Sarah (Greene) Faulstick Papich. She was a long time member of Boston Presbyterian before the church closed their doors. She worked for many years as a housekeeper but retired from Riverside Nursing Center in 2005. Carlene loved to play cards, puzzle & word search books, and creating ceramic pieces, but most importantly, she loved sitting on the porch with her husband, Ed, and spending quality time with her family.

Donald D. Kmetz, 79, of McKeesport, passed away Monday July 11, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 18, 1942 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Edward Kmetz of Munhall and the late Eleanor (Novak) Kmetz of Duquesne. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Keefer) Kmetz, who passed away June 18, 2014. Donald worked as a printer for The Daily News until his retirement. Donald was loved by all who knew him. He was a quiet man, but loved to tell his jokes. He was also an avid card player and enjoyed going to casinos.

Tawny L. Bryner, age 63, of Port Vue, died July 8, 2022, at home. Born August 23, 1958, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lois M. (Mathieu) Langett and the wife of David Bryner for 21 years.
Tawny retired from Heritage Manor of West Mifflin, where she was a Certified Nurses Assistant Supervisor. She had a passion for writing, and once, her writings were published in the TV Guide. Tawny enjoyed music and poetry. She was also an animal lover, leaving behind her beloved Chihuahua "Nucky."
