Janet A. Blend, 86  of North Versailles died Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her home.  She was born December 1, 1934 in Turtle Creek, a daughter of the late Albert and Millie Merlin. Janet enjoyed gardening, bowling and roller skating. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Marlyn Marosko. She is survived by her husband Richard Blend, two sons, William Gardner (Jan), Joseph Gardner, one granddaughter Melissa, three great grandchildren, Alexa, Tiera and Amaya. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon  Sunday 3-7 p.m. A  funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Andrew M. Ferencz, 70, of West Mifflin, died June 9, 2021. He is the son of the late Andrew and Ann (Babjak) Ferencz.  He is survived by his wife Connie (Cortazzo) Ferencz; daughters Shari (David) Horne of West Mifflin and Annie (Eric) Beeson of Morgantown, WV; grandchildren Hunter, Owen and Erin and brother Ronald P. Ferencz of West Mifflin.  He was also preceded in death by sisters Marlene Goedeke and Kathy Lesko.  Andrew was retired from both US Steel and Alco Parking Authority and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle, formerly St. Agnes Church.  Friends will be received at Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, Duquesne, on Mon. June 14, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.  A funeral mass will be held Tues. 10:00 am at  St. Agnes Church.  Interment following Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to either St. Jude's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project, or donate to the charity of your choice.

John Rosko, age 95 of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in Arden Courts, Jefferson Hills,  Born May 3, 1926 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Itnatoila) Rosko.  A US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, John was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church of Clairton.  John retired as an engineer at Bettis Atomic in West Mifflin and also worked at both Old Overholt Distillery in Large and as a policeman for the City of Clairton.  He is survived by his wife of 71 years Martha P. (Geletko) Rosko; his children David J. (Sarah Young) Rosko of Phillipsburg, Kathleen (Frank) Rosko Book of Edinsburg, Linda J. (Thomas) O'Brian of Bethel Park, and Robert J. (Michele Vogel) Rosko of Lake Ariel; his grandchildren Matthew Rosko, Alexis Vesper, Erin (Christopher) Bruno, Lyndsay (Robert) Ward, Kirsten Book, Patrick and Sean O'Brian, and Meghan Rosko; his great-grandchildren J.J., Bennett, Adrian, Joey, Norah, and Roman; and also nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, John is preceded in death by his siblings Peter and George Rosko and Mary Pasinsky, and a grandson Brendan.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her dogs. She liked gardening, cooking, baking, and taking care of her home. Born June 9, 1944 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Anna (Homer) Buchina. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Sabo Jr.; son, Joseph J. (Diane) Sabo of Blaine Hill; daughter, Melanie Sabo of Blaine Hill; also, nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. Donald F. Hart, 80, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021. He was born March 10, 1941 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Elmer B. and Edith (Deeds) Hart. He was a graduate of McKeesport High School, obtained his B.S. in Mathematics from the West Virginia Wesleyan College and his M. ED. from the University of Pittsburgh. Donald worked as a Mathematics teacher for Elizabeth Forward School District, where he retired after 31 years. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in White Oak, where he held numerous leadership positions during his lifetime. These included many years as chairperson of the staff Parish Relations Committee and the church's delegate to the Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference. Donald was an avid reader, he enjoyed playing golf and was a member of several leagues, and was also a member of the Mon Yough Church Dartball League.

Gregg graduated from Penn Trafford High School in 2005. He was an avid Steelers fan, even naming  one of his three dogs, Binx, Chloe and Shazier  after #50. Gregg enjoyed riding  dirt bikes, motorcycles, and enjoyed walking his dogs. He was preceded in death by his fiance, Jamyshia. Tkac, age 74, of White Oak, died on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in McKeesport on January 2, 1947, and is the son of the late John and Beatrice (Barco) Tkac.  He was a Route Manager with Distributors and Dealers for 30 years.  Then worked with Comnet at the airport until “9-11” happened and he was laid off and then retired.  He was a lifetime member of the White Oak #1 Volunteer Fire Department which during that time he served as a past president and fire chief.  He volunteered with his son, John “JP” and then his daughter, Victoria also joined… whom with Paul have a combined community service of 75 years.

Jennifer was currently working for Inferno Pizza of Elizabeth, where she was a cook. She formerly worked as a pastry chef, where she shared her delicious creations while working in Florida and Barbados. She was a graduate of South Allegheny High School and the International Culinary Academy of Pittsburgh. Jennifer was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish. She enjoyed baking, cooking, shopping, and following Pittsburgh Steelers football. Jennifer also loved her traveling adventures and scuba diving. She had an infectious laugh and was always joking around.

She was born on September 16, 1934 in West Elizabeth, the daughter of the late William J. and Margaret (Leightley) Lewis.  Mary started working in finance at the former Haines grocery store on Route 51 by Century III mall and then worked as a lead teller for the Pittsburgh National Bank in McKeesport for nearly 20 years. In her spare time and  hobby, Mary was fondly called the “cookie lady” and actively involved in supporting the community for over 30 years by literally baking thousands of dozens of homemade cookies for weddings and other special events and celebrations around the Pittsburgh area.

Pysz, her brother-in-law Philip Carey, III, her nephew Layke Katona Pysz, and her great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father-and-mother-in-law Phil and Betty Carey, her grandparents Adam and Cecilia Harsmanka, and her aunt Lucille "Luba" Harsmanka.
