Josephine (Jo) A. Scardina McNeal, 98, died June 16, 2021. Born January 11, 1923, in Baltimore, MD, to the late Charles P. Scardina and Marie A. Waldhauser. She was the beloved wife to the late Michael J. McNeal, Jr. Josephine graduated from Seton High School. She lived in McKeesport, PA, and was also a long-time resident on Kent Island in Stevensville, MD. Paul E. Schultz, 88, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 and went to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Paul was born on December 28, 1932 in Glassport and was the son of the late Edward and Sophia (Petrosky) Schultz. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his son, Paul Jr., and sister, Irene Silich. Paul was employed as a machinist by Westinghouse Astronuclear Lab for 30 years until his retirement. He truly enjoyed his work and found it to be both challenging and rewarding. Paul was always a loyal fan of the Pirates and Steelers teams, winning or losing! Paul is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vivian Painter Schultz; daughter, Karen Schultz; two granddaughters, Hannah (Brian) Ross and Gabrielle Walker; one great-grandson, Arlo Paul Ross; sister, Freda Schultz; and nephew, Michael (Kathy) Silich. Joyce Anne (Ward) Mitro, age 79 of Conneaut Lake and formerly of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 in Hilton Head Regional Hospital in Hilton Head, SC. Born April 27, 1942 in Clairton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas N. and Anna M. (Flynn) Ward. A 1960 graduate of Clairton High School and attendee of Robert Morris College, Joyce retired as a secretary for K&L Gates Law Firm in Pittsburgh. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #462 and on the Board of Directors for the V.F.D. #5, both of Conneaut Lake. Joyce is survived by her husband of 40 years Raymond M. Mitro; her children Raymond J. (Jacqueline) Mitro of Hilton Head, SC and Renee Beth (Daniel) Dye of Houston, TX; her grandchildren Sarah Beth and John Dye and Brittany Mitro; her brother Gerald (Linda) Ward of Clairton; sister-in-law Ida Ward of Clairton; and also many nieces and nephews. Kathleen J. Pilarski, age 70, of North Irwin, died June 15, 2021, at Barnes Place. She was born on September 15, 1950, in Connellsville, PA and was the daughter of the late Edward and Melanie (Prutz) Stepanic. Kathi was a registered nurse and had a career spanning from labor and delivery nurse, home health/hospice nurse, and part time school nurse. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin. Kathi loved traveling to Lexington, Kentucky and Florida, tending to her yard and rock gardens, country line dancing, sewing, and shopping. Her greatest joy in life was being a devoted Mom and Nan. Kathi loved sending hand written cards, complete with confetti and usually a $1 bill to all she loved.

Wendy J. Slafka 68, of North Huntingdon, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2021. She was born April 21, 1953 in McKeesport, daughter of the late George and Margaret Jane Alund.
Loving wife of Mark J. Slafka, devoted mother to Nathan (Ashley) and Christian Slafka. Sister of Edith (Mark) Harvey, and brother David (Pamela) Alund. Adoring grandmother to Rylen, her “princess” and Luca, her “little buddy”, the lights of her life.

A 1971 McKeesport High School graduate, she studied music at Duquesne University, taught piano and directed choirs at Christian Life Church and McKeesport Christian Alliance.
A God-fearing woman with a heart of gold, she had a passion for music and loved to sing.

Bernadine Squillace, age 84, of White Oak, went home to the Lord and reunited with her husband, Friday, June 11, 2021. Squillace, Sr. Bernadine found no greater joy than being a wife and mother. She was a former Stenographer at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, in her early years. Conrad Petrick, age 89, of North Huntingdon, died June 12, 2021, at Point Pleasant in North Versailles. Born March 23, 1932, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Petrick and husband of the late Geraldine "Gerry" Petrick for 57 years.
Conrad was a 1949 graduate of McKeesport High School and would then enlist in the Army. After his time spent in the Army, he would attend Duquesne University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics. Upon graduating, he worked for Gulf Oil and then Chevron as a physicist. Conrad had his private pilot's license for 50 years and stored his plane at Rostraver Airport. He was a brilliant man, the one the whole family went to, to ask any question about any subject. Conrad enjoyed working on cars and frequently volunteered his time to help his son-in-law at his auto repair business.
He is survived by children Denise Yandrlic, Karen (Robert) Robb, and the late Arlene Petrick; grandchildren, Rachel (Brett) Skelley, Elizabeth (Jesse) Lape, and Victoria (Patrick) Kavinski; great-grandchildren, Vaughn and Margot Skelley and Thomas Lape.
He was also preceded in death by a brother and five sisters.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Dorothy J. Terranella, 77, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born October 13, 1943 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Andrew and Dorothy (McDonald) Hudak. Dorothy was a school teacher for Sisters of Charity, Seton Hill and later retired to start her life as a wife and mother. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved writing poetry and letters to loved ones. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting and doll making. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Crawford, and brother-in-law, Daniel Brennan. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Angelo "Terry" Terranella; son, Angelo "Terry" Terranella and his wife, Rachel and Dominic Terranella; brother, Kenny (Terri) Hudak; sisters, Karen (Jerry) Kronk, Cindy Brennan; grandchildren, Dominic (Kathryn), Joseph (Sydney), Angelina, Daniel, Angelo III, Job, Nehemiah, Titus and Caleb.
