James McAllen age 92, of Penn Hills, formerly of Duquesne, on March 19, 2017, at Southwestern Veterans Center. He was a son of the late Archibald and Stella (Shoop) McAllen. Jim was retired from US Steel Duquesne Works as a crane operator. He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the VFW, Ft. Louden, PA and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, Steelers, Pirates and Pitt Football. Husband of 65 years to the late Marie E. (Jugan) McAllen; father of James Robert (Donna) McAllen of Baltimore, MD, Marcie Marie McAllen of Duquesne, Janet S. Harris of Duquesne and Duane (Kimberly) McAllen of Penn Hills; grandfather of Darren and Dana McAllen, Todd McAllen, Keith Harris, Chad Harris, Penelope, Duane S. and Scott McAllen; also five great- grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Stevenson, Anna Ottavian, John McAllen, Fred McAllen, Sara Almose, Margretta Robey; also survived by nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or services. A private burial will take place in Dry Run, PA. ROBERT L. "BIRD" WOOLCOCK age 70, of Duquesne, on March 21, 2017. He was the son of the late Robert E. and Margaret E. (Spickler) Woolcock. He was retired from Thermal Transfer as a finisher and truck driver. He was an avid Penguins fan, he liked to fish and he was a 1968 graduate of the State Police Academy in Hershey, PA. He is survived by his caretakers and friends, Bill and Linda Bercik, Sr. of Charleroi, PA. Richard C. Crush, 80, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday March 18, 2017. He was born April 9, 1936 in Allentown, a son of the late Frederick and Arlene (Bortz) Crush and was also preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Ann Crush and a brother Frederick “Fritz” Crush. Richard graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University and retired after thirty five years’ service with Westinghouse Electric Company. Richard was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his family, golfing, and working in his garden. He was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin.
