Bernard T. Gindlesperger, age 90, of West Newton, and formerly of Elizabeth and Clairton, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 at home. A retired small press operator with Fisher Body in West Mifflin, he loved visiting with family and friends, enjoyed cats and taking long rides in the car.

Joan A. Virgona, age 80 of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in Jefferson Hospital. Born June 23, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Harry J. and Anna Marie (LaValle) Phillips. A former sales associate at Skapik's and a cook for the former Keck's Restaurant and St. Clare School, Joan was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, ran the summer lunch program at the 10th. St. Playground, was active with the Sons of Columbus Santa Maria Council #4, and was a bowling coach for the Special Olympics. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Domenic V. Virgona; her children Kim (Bill) Nickolich, Debra (David P.) Maksin, Beverly Virgona, and Domenic J. (Vanessa) Virgona, all of Clairton; her grandchildren Laura Nickolich, Domenic J. Virgona, and David S. (Allison) and Heath Maksin; her great-grandson Liam Mizak; her sister Harriet B. (the late Alan) Seng of Bethel Park; and also nieces and nephews.

She worked as a sales associate at Shadyside Natural Food, Sunny Bridge Natural Foods and Cafe in McMurray, and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Bethel Park, PA. Born December 12, 1947 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late George and Ann (Madjea) Milto. Cathyanne is survived by her husband, Alvin "Al" Ferree II; children, Natalie (Joshua) Friedrich Mance of Pittsburgh, Matt (Sheba) Ferree of North Versailles, and Ian (Amanda) Ferree of Greensburg; grandchildren, Brooklyn Best, Savannah and Christopher Roose, Atheana Miskalis, and Kylee Ferree; brother, George (Toni) Milto of York; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives, Margery (Shaver) Hazy of 35 years, and Anna (Francesconi) Trafalis Hazy of 19 years; and by his brothers Joseph, Steve and James Hazy, and sisters, Margaret Renn and Mary Lomagno.

She retired as a secretary for Dick Corp. in Jefferson Hills and was a former secretary for Michael Adams Esq. in Pleasant Hills. A former member of St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Elrama, she enjoyed flea markets, making cakes for birthdays, weddings and special occasions, and always had a kind and generous heart and a special love for children. .

Sylvia L. Lerro, age 83 of Liberty Borough, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 in John J. Kane Regional Center, McKeesport. Born November 3, 1935 in Baldwin, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Miller) Datig. A member of St. Mark's Parish, Sylvia was the co-proprietor of Jo-Lynn's Pizzeria in Liberty Borough with her late husband of 49 years, Joseph C. Lerro, who passed away on March 3, 2006. Sylvia is survived by her daughters Linda (Donald) Chapman of Liberty Borough and Jodi Staab of Elizabeth Twp.; her grandchildren Jarrett (Melanie), Tony, Shawn (Jackie), Nicole, Tammy (Jeff), and Brittany; her great-grandchildren Ava, Christian, Luca, Vico, Makayla, Gianna, and Sterling; her brother Greg Datig of California; and also many nieces and nephews, especially her nephew Craig Galick who helped immensely with her care.

Elinor Kramer, age 91 of Cumming, GA and formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019. Born May 9, 1928 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Morris and Bertha (Bergman) Calig. Elinor worked with her husband, the late Alvin Kramer, as sales representatives for Leco Electric Co. and also as a court reporter and instructor for court reporters. She is survived by her twin daughters Adele Caplan of Cumming, GA and Marcy (Richard) Ruben of Cumming, GA; her grandsons Adam (Amy nee Rosner) Caplan, Aaron (fiancee Lauren Fehl) Ruben, Justin (Jessica nee Effren) Caplan, and Zachary (fiancee Ema Alvarez) Ruben; her great-grandsons Ryan and Graham; and her great-granddaughters Jana and Daniella. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience and request of her family at Beth Shalom Cemetery in Shaler Twp.

A US Army Veteran who served in the occupation of Berlin, Max retired after 29 years as a lieutenant with the McKeesport Police Department.

Edward R. Skuhrovec, age 72 of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully in the home he grew up in, according to God's plans as the family had hoped for, on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Born March 12, 1947 in McKeesport, he was one of two sons, along with his brother Rudy, of Rudolph and Mildred (Pfiefer) Skuhrovec. Edward was a music and sports lover from an early age. As a member of the first graduating class of Port Vue-Liberty High School (now South Allegheny), he was in the band for 8 years, serving as head drummer for 5, and was a member of the 1965 WPIAL Section 14 championship baseball team. After graduation, he began his career of fifty years, for US Steel at Homestead and Clairton, as a member of the United Steelworkers Union #s 1397 and 1557, and also as a member of the Boilermakers Union #154.

Kristine E. (Odorcich) Baldridge, age 65 of North Huntingdon, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born July 14, 1953 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Wasko) Odorcich. A member of St. Agnes Parish in North Huntingdon, Kristine was a senior administrative assistant to the chief of trauma at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where she wrote grants and was in charge of the residency program. Before that, she served in the same role with the plastic surgery department at Children's Hospital. Kristine was also very active with the PTA at Norwin School District.

A member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church in Baldwin, Regina was a lovely and loving woman and quite a talented vocalist and guitar player. She is survived by her son Julian Stretavski; her grandchildren Johann S. and Eleanor M. Stretavski; her siblings James and Kevin (Pat) Stretavski, Roberta (Mark) Szekeres, Michele (David) Savinda, and Renee (Ron) Mitko; and also many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Regina was preceded in death by her siblings Lavern McCartan, Regis Allen Stretavski, Jr., and Mary Lu Burkett.

Helen Brulja, age 92 of McKeesport, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Southwestern Assisted Care Center in West Mifflin. Born December 1, 1926 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Ljubic) Brulja. A member of St. Mark's Parish in Port Vue, Helen worked as a clerk for the Westinghouse Corp., was a member of the CFU Lodge #146 and it's Ladies' and Pensioneers' Clubs, and was also an original member of the Penn-Sembles. She is survived by nieces and nephews, but was preceded in death by her siblings: Kathern Brulja, Frances Sopko, Ann Bastasic, Mary Sipkovich, and Matt, Bruce, and William Brulja. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, 4504 Walnut Street, Versailles, on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 10 AM in St. Mark's Parish, Port Vue Site. Interment will follow to Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Vue.
