Patricia L. Atkins, 91, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born August 28, 1932, in Duquesne, and was the daughter of the late Jennie and James Hannegan. She was the wife of 56 years to the late Howard C. Atkins, who passed away, December 10, 2014. Patricia was very involved in the Girl Scouts of America and functioned as a Den Mother for many years. She worked 20 years for the Elizabeth Forward School District where she headed the cafeteria, supplying many generations of youths with delicious and nutritious meals. Patricia was a devoted Christian and member of the former Boston Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School. Patricia was a hardworking and loving woman that will be missed by her family.

Catherine M. Macey, 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Jefferson Hospital surrounded by family. She was born November 27, 1935 in Greensburg and was the daughter to the late Henry V. McKay, Sr., and the late Rose Marie (Gregg) McKay. Catherine is the beloved wife of 67 years to Robert P. Macey of North Huntingdon. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in North Huntingdon, and of the Catholic Daughters and attended The Divine Redeemer Academy of Elizabeth Township. Catherine was an active member of the Christian Mothers, the Elizabeth Township Seniors, and the North Huntingdon AARP, and worked as the district office secretary at the Elizabeth Forward School District. An avid reader, a talented artist and she loved to travel, yet she enjoyed seeing her grandkids and supporting their performances or extracurricular activities the most.

Lynne A. Bonivich, 74, of Greenock, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023.  She was born November 15, 1949 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late James "Jim" and Allene (Swartz) Morgan.  Lynne worked for many years as a cashier at Schweibel's Bakery in McKeesport. She loved bingo and even had a bag that read "Bingos my game and Mimi is my name".  She also enjoyed puzzles, word searches, and playing candy crush on her ipad. Lynne was known as Mimi to her grandchildren and Momma B to many others. She loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Lynne was a people person, with a big heart, but at the same time would tell you how it is.  She will be greatly missed.

Carol (Jancef) Rice, 71, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully in the loving care of her family on Thursday, November 16, 2023. Carol spent the majority of her nursing career in long-term care, loved her dogs and took great pride in her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Rice; her parents, Otto and Dorothy (Schmidt) Jancef; sister Linda Horne; and step-daughter, Terri Shawn Rice. Carol will be sadly missed by her daughters, Tara Hall (Christopher) of North Huntingdon, and Amber Zahorchak (Rafael Perez Diez) of San Juan, Puerto Rico; and her step-son, Dustin Rice; cherished grandchildren, Ethan Hall and Rafael, Cecilia and Gonzalo Perez; sister, Doris Phillips; and niece Tracy Seman (Richard). Margaret "Peggy" Ruth (McCullough) Clark

Margaret "Peggy" Ruth (McCullough) Clark of White Oak, Pennsylvania, peacefully went Home to be with her Heavenly Father on November 12, 2023 after a long and full life with God and her family.

She was born in Braddock, Pennsylvania on October 29, 1941, to the late Alec McCullough and Mary Ruth Brady. She lived in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, most of her life, as well as part time in Clearwater, Florida.

She was the beloved wife of Thomas Clark, with whom she faithfully shared 63 years of marriage, and for whom she affectionately poured out her life. Together, they raised four children: Tom, Barb, Joe & Becky, all of whom have been profoundly impacted by her selfless, uncomplaining, hardworking life. She also was beloved and respected grandma to twenty-three grandchildren and great grandma to twelve.

She trusted Christ as her Savior as a young girl and subsequently lived her life in unwavering service to Him. She read her Bible daily, prayed to God in faith, was a committed member of the McKeesport and Tampa Gospel Halls, and was well known for opening her home in warm hospitality to God’s people.

William C. "Bull" Dusi, 66, of Clairton, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023. He was born August 19, 1957 in Wiesbaden, Germany and was the son of the late George Lucas Dusi, Sr. and Ruth A. (Rothey) Dusi. He was the husband of the late Michele Marie "Shelly" (Martin) Dusi, who passed away January 6, 2023.  Bull was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and currently worked for over 20 years at ELG Metals in McKeesport and looked forward to retiring in March of 2024.  He loved to watch football and cooking shows. Bull loved vacationing in Florida at he and his wife's favorite resort, Ocean East, where they went for two weeks every September and made many friends.  Bull loved his family and loved spending time with them.  He was also known for his love of motorcycles,a great sense of humor,  his kind heart and loyalty and as a hardworking man that would help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed.

She was a 1950 graduate of Glassport High School and was the organizer of the 1950 Lunch Bunch.

She loved bike riding, reading, bingo, trips to Ocean City New Jersey, helping raise her grandkids, and she loved her great grandchildren.

Elizabeth Jane Gibbons

Elizabeth Jane (Lesher) Alder Gibbons, 92, of White Oak, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023. Also known as BeeDoll, Betty, Betty Boop, Gram and GiGi. She was born January 27, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Lesher. She was the loving wife of the late Charles Thomas Gibbons. She worked in the old Nabisco factory on Penn Avenue in East Liberty, now home to Google, and spent many years as a waitress at Scotty’s Diner a little further up the road in Wilkinsburg. She also worked for the Borough of Wilkinsburg as a meter maid and as a school crossing guard. In her later years, she was a caregiver for a number of older folks needing in-home assistance, providing care, companionship, meals, laundry, light housekeeping, and travel to medical appointments and the like. She was funny, feisty, playful, and loved a good game of pinochle and 500 Bid through several card clubs throughout her adult life and with family members. She was a member of Sampson Mills Presbyterian Church in White Oak for decades, volunteering there when she was physically able. What has always stood out as her most endearing gifts through the years was both her compassion and care for others and her remarkable capacity for forgiveness. She lovingly opened her home to anyone in need. She was a terrific baker and gardener, and was still shoveling and playing in the dirt well into her 80's. She was the last surviving member of her generation among the Lesher and Alder families. She had 5 living generations in the same family for the 4th consecutive time over the past 76 years.

He was born December 6, 1967 in Homestead and was the son of Felix (Bonnie) Zabroski of Monroeville and Maryann (Churay) Zabroski of West Mifflin. Jeffrey was a Licensed Pharmacist and had worked for the former Thrift Drug in Pleasant Hills and the former Rite Aid in Versailles. He was a 1986 graduate of West Mifflin High School where he was active on the Football and Track teams. He was also a 1994 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. He was proud of his sons, loved the ocean, was very funny and always joking, was a Foodie, and an avid Steelers fan.

She was born May 20, 1956 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Joseph Earl Campbell and the late Helen Marie Kadar Gallinari.  She was the wife of Robert Edward "Ed" Weeks, with whom she lived for many happy years in Floyd, VA until his death on May 1, 2015. David Paul Detwiler, 73, of West Mifflin passed away at his home Tuesday October 31, 2023. Born February 12, 1950, he was the son of the late Paul W. Detwiler and the late Norma Ruth (Lewis) Tennant and cared for by his stepfather Ervin Tennant. David was a 1969 graduate of West Mifflin North High School. He was a long-time member of the Reliance Hose company #2 firehall in Glassport and the Thompson Run Club in West Mifflin. He was a loving and dedicated father to his two daughters. He was their softball coach, cheer dad, and travel partner.

Barbara was a 1970 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School and was also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Masters Degree in Education where she was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma sorority. She was a Special Education Teacher at the Apollo Ridge High School and was previously a Library Assistant at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for 10 years. Barbara was a kind, caring and loving person with a great sense of humor. She loved crafting, reading books, tending to her flower garden and attending rock concerts with her brother Gary.

Victor was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and was retired from CONRAIL. He was a graduate of Duquesne University.
