Harold D. Hobson, age 76, of White Oak, formerly of McKeesport, died at home on March 24, 2025. Born September 24, 1948, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Harold and Blanche (Hannegan) Hobson and the loving husband of Bonnie (Groves) Hobson for 50 years.  Harold was known not only for his skilled work as a body man and the pride he took in running his own shop but also for the warmth and kindness he extended to his family, friends, and customers alike.  Harold attended First Evangelical Free Church. His love for music was evident in his passion for doo-wop, which brought him joy throughout his life. Despite losing his vision, Harold remained undeterred in his passion for storytelling, finding great pleasure in listening to audiobooks that transported him to new worlds, and he found comfort in watching reruns of "Gunsmoke," where his imagination could still bring the characters to life.

Bonnie's caring spirit was evident in her devotion to her work as a nanny. After serving at Jefferson Hospital, she dedicated over 20 years to caring for the Deoras family in North Huntingdon. She had a flair for decorating her home, always making it a welcoming space for family gatherings. She found true happiness in cooking meals for her loved ones, and her house was often filled with the rich aromas of her culinary creations. She also had a zest for life, enjoying trips to the casino and adventures on cruises, sharing joyous moments with those she loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Janet "Sis" Penick (Schank); children, Janet Merk, Sharon (Joseph) Maxwell, and Peter Penick; cherished grandchildren, Amy (Joseph) Chiaverini, David (Mellisa) Puskaric, Danyel Kelly, Brooke Kelly, Gary Keller Jr., Rachael Penick, and Sarah Penick. Adam.  Josephine dedicated her working years to Kroger, where she served with pride in the meat department and as a cashier. Her warm smile made her a favorite among customers and colleagues alike. Beyond her professional life, she was a devoted member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, where her faith and community ties flourished. In her leisure time, Josephine delighted in visiting family, sharing laughter and meals with friends during shopping trips and lunch outings, and enjoying the thrill of the casinos. Her zest for life and her love for others were evident in how she embraced every moment.

Bob proudly served in World War II as a Merchant Marine in the Atlantic and Mediterranean War Zones and later spent several years in the Naval Reserve. After his service, he worked for the B&O and McKeesport Connecting Railroads, where he was affectionately known as "RV" by his colleagues.

Born January 21, 1963, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Robert Sr. and Nancy (Race) Burgman and was the husband of Tina (Steele) Burgman.  Robert met his soulmate, Tina, while still in high school. Their love story, shaped by time and distance, took a turn when they reconnected years later and ultimately married. Robert's devotion to his family was unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with his wife, son, and grandson.  A proud veteran, Robert proudly served in the Air Force, a testament to his commitment to service and country. He carried the values of discipline and perseverance, which he imparted to his family and the many young athletes he coached. Robert dedicated countless hours to mentoring girls' softball teams at Woodland Hills, Elizabeth Forward, and McKeesport Area High Schools, where he instilled not only the fundamentals of the game but also lessons of teamwork and resilience.  Robert's love for the great outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting at Linn Run State Park, a tradition he joyfully passed down to his son and grandson. Fishing, too, was a cherished pastime, moments spent by the water reflecting his deep appreciation for nature and time spent with loved ones.

Frances was an esteemed Democratic Committee Woman, using her voice and abilities to tirelessly serve her neighbors and advocate for causes she believed in. Her commitment to her community extended to her involvement with the American Legion Auxiliary Post 701 in White Oak, where she fostered camaraderie among veterans and their families. A charter member of the Volunteer White Oak Rescue Squad, she made an indelible impact as an EMT, always ready to lend a helping hand in times of need.
