Margaret Anselmo, age 97, of White Oak, died on Friday, August 26, 2022. She was born in McKeesport on December 5, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Felix and Maria Stella Sabella Giganti. She was preceded in death by her husband Michele Anselmo, and siblings, Julius Giganti; Rose Panico; Sarah Gumina; Rosella Fichera; Dorothy Annoreno; Stella Lopretto; and Josephine Annoreno. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church.

Regina Emerick, age 60, of Palm Bay, FL, died on Monday, August 22, 2022. She was born in McKeesport on January 9, 1962 and is the daughter of the late Jack and Regina Kelley Hoak. She was employed as a project analyst at L3Harris Technologies. Regina liked adventuring to new places to visit National Parks and monuments. She loved the Laurel Highlands and belonged among the wildflowers. She spent a lot of her time tending to nature in her own backyard by planting and feeding songbirds and critters. Fall was her favorite season and she'd never miss a Pittsburgh Steelers game. She was a true nurturer by nature and will be sorely missed by every person or creature that knew her.

After raising her children, she was employed as a waitress at various country clubs and also was a ticket saleswoman for Kennywood.

Dorothy Ann Ingram, age 87, of White Oak died on Friday, August 19, 2022. She was born in McKeesport on July 18, 1935 and is the daughter of the late Louis and May Reed Kubant and the wife of the late Robert John Ingram, who died on December 6, 2020. She was employed as a secretary at Westinghouse Airbrake before raising her four children. She later was employed as a tax collector for the White Oak Borough for over 30 years. Dorothy was a longtime member of St. Angela Merici Church in White Oak, where she loved to volunteer. She would assist at the parish festival and various other events and was a member of the Christian Mothers group.

Earle Slawson Guffey, age 83, of Naples, FL, formerly of McKeesport and North Huntingdon, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in Florida. He was born in McKeesport on November 21, 1938 and is the son of the late Judge James McClurg and Gretchen Slawson Guffey. He graduated from Penn State University in 1960 and was first in his class in business horticulture major. He was formerly the CEO of Johnston The Florist and Johnston’s greenhouses and owned and operated 25 floral shops located throughout Western Pennsylvania.

William Joseph Paterra, age 62, of McKeesport, died on Monday, August 1, 2022. He was born in McKeesport on September 3, 1959 and is the son of the late Louis S. and Helen Hreha Paterra. He was formerly employed at McKeesport Hospital, was the Director of Housekeeping at Point Park University, and retired as the Operations Director at Monroeville Mall. He was a medic for McKeesport EMS, where he started as a junior and continued for about 10 years. He was a football coach for many years where he coached local youth football and was actively involved with youth sports programs. He was a coach for McKeesport Little Tigers prior to coaching at McKeesport High School and East Allegheny High School. He was well known throughout the community and loved coaching and influencing the lives of the youth. Bill was also a very avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Besides sports, he loved vacationing and taking his dog, Holly, for walks to play ball, and spending time with his grandson, Harper.

Leslie was employed at PNC Bank as an operations analyst for many years. She was a fun-loving person, loved to laugh, and travel to various locations. Leslie was very meticulous about keeping her house tidy on both the inside and outside.

Barbara A. Sobel, age 67, of New Stanton, died on Monday, July 25, 2022. She was born in Seoul, South Korea on August 5, 1954 and is the daughter of the late Olav and Mimmie Chun Crone-Aamot. She loved to knit, was very passionate about cooking and her garden. She also loved all animals, especially cats. She was a very caring person and always wanted to help others in need.
