James Herald Cain, age 99, of Greensburg, formerly of North Versailles, passed away Friday August 30, 2019. He was born March 29, 1920 in White Valley, the son of the late Thomas and Emma Cain. He served in the Navy during World War II and then went onto work as a machinist at Westinghouse for over 35 years before retiring. He was a longtime member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport and was always proud of his loving family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Mercedes Burkhardt. He is survived by his daughters Mary Lou (Stan) Uram of Jeanette and Nancy (Steve) Hudacko of Greensburg; grandchildren Patrick (Elizabeth) Hudacko, Rae Ann (Dwayne) Santivicca, Amie (Jason) Yost, Greg Martin and Michael (Sharon) Martin; 12 great grandchildren; and little sister (who is 96 years old) Agnes Sergy of Braddock.

Jean E. (Koloski) Glass, 87, of Greensburg, formerly of North Versailles, died Tuesday August 27, 2019. She was born April 27, 1932 in Trafford, a daughter of the late Henry and Jennie (Lorenz) Koloski and was also preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Glass Jr. and a sister Marge (the late John) Bianchi. Jean was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, East McKeesport. She is survived by her sons Ronald C. (Chris) Glass of Edgewood, MD, and David L. (Vickie) Glass of Greensburg; her grandchildren Andy Glass, Lauren (Michael) Schwartz, Katie Moore, Marisa (Desmond) Connolly, Derek Glass, Thomas Umphlett, and Christine (Aaron) Patton; 11 great grandchildren; also 3 nephews, a niece, and a cousin Eugene Cawoski.

James W. Byard, 62 of Irwin, died Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at home. He was born September 21, 1956 in McKeesport, a son of the late William Dal and Marion E. (Geruschat) Byard and was also preceded in death by his twin brother Jeffrey C. Byard. He was a graduate of Penn State University and was employed by Shred-it, Pittsburgh. He is survived by his siblings Robert D Byard of Columbus, OH and Karen M. (Phillip) Gregar of Trafford; also nieces and nephews.

Carol A. (Ehrlich) Humphries, age 61, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019. She was born February 18, 1958 in Lawrenceville, a daughter of the late George and May Ehrlich. She worked in accounts receivable for Matthews International, Inc. in Pittsburgh, was an avid camper at Roaring Run Camp ground in Donegal, loved gardening and spending holiday’s and Steeler Sunday’s with family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother George Ehrlich; and sister Susan Houck. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Randall E. Humphries; children Sherrie Durr and Randall E. (Dana) Humphries Jr.; grandchildren Brendan Hill, Lexie Hill and Matthew Durr; brother Thomas (Della) Ehrlich; and her beloved dog Thumper.

Mark J. Lazzaro, 76, of North Huntingdon, went to be with his Lord and Savior August 17, 2019. He was born September 21, 1942 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Joseph J. and Josephine M. (Mazzei) Lazzaro. Mark was a bus driver for most of his working life and drove over 3,600,000 miles as a safe bus driver. He worked for Lincoln Coach, Pennsylvania Coach, 88 Transit, and Community Life. He also worked at Sam’s Club. At age 59 he rode his bike with friends 45 miles from Ohiopyle to Sutersville.
Mark excelled at everything he did. He was a member of Norwin Christian & Missionary Alliance Church where he served as an elder, a devoted Sunday school teacher and was in charge of the church van. Mark battled cancer courageously and valiantly with a trust and faith in Jesus as his savior beyond all measure. Mark was a Marine Corps disabled veteran and a member of the Marine Corps League.

Colonel Paul R. Flebotte, Army, Retired, age 79, of North Huntingdon, PA, passed away August 13, 2019. He was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, the son of French Canadian immigrants. He spent 30 years of service in the Army.
Paul began his military career by volunteering for the draft and enlisting in the infantry. During this period he served one year in Vietnam. After two years he enrolled in Officers Candidate School and received his commission upon graduation. Paul served a second tour in Vietnam. Military intelligence was his specialty. He served most notably as Army Attaché in Saudi Arabia and Morocco and Defense Attaché in Tunisia.
He is survived by Kathy, his wife of over 49 years, and by his son Shawn and wife Crystal; grandchildren Brendan, Olivia, Delaney and Landon; sister Esther Donahue; niece Renee Spring and husband Fred; nephew Mark Donahue and wife Kerry.

Robert J. Fulmer, 60, of North Huntingdon, died Sunday August 11, 2019 at home. He was born April 26, 1959 in Greensburg, the son of Caroline E. (Harrold) Fulmer Swanson and the late Robert Fulmer. Bob was a graduate of Norwin High School, Class of 1977, and a retired concrete finisher. He was a member of Shafton Volunteer Fire Department and served as a trustee. In addition to his mother he is survived by his sister Laurie J. Nock, his nieces and nephews Nicole Paulovich and Jacob, Karlie, and Damon Nock and his great grandniece Peyton Paulovich.

Beverly A. Bluman, 74, of Turtle Creek, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019. She was born September 27, 1944 in Turtle Creek, a daughter of the late William and Thelma (Smith) Bluman. She was a 1962 graduate of Turtle Creek High School, and prior to retirement worked at Westinghouse from 1962-1976, Kelly Services from 1978-1982, and GTE from 1982-1986. Beverly was a dear friend to many. In addition to her parents Beverly is preceded in death by her loving brother William Bluman and her nephew David Bluman. She is survived by her sister in law Patricia Bluman; she was a loving and treasured aunt to Pam (George) Rain of Manor, Thomas Bluman of California, and Daniel Bluman of Manor; six great nieces and nephews and four great great nieces and nephews.

Genevieve “Jenny” D. (Frew) Frye, age 86, of North Huntingdon passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019. She was born June 19, 1933 in Blairsville, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frew. She was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church in Irwin. She was the proud owner of Frye’s Garden Center in North Huntingdon for over 20 years before closing. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Earl Kenneth Frye Sr.; sisters Ruth, Grace and June; and brother Carl. She is survived by her children John R. Frew of Export, Margaret Svitko of 84 and Earl (Melissa) Frye Jr. of State College; grandchildren Ashley (Rich), Bella and Tony; and great grandchildren Summer, Willow and Meadow.

Stephen “Steve” M. Brunecz III, age 60, of North Huntingdon passed away Friday, August 2, 2019. He was born October 31, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the Stephen (Kay) Brunecz and the late Joanne Brunecz. He worked his whole career in construction, and had spent the last ten years as a Sr. Project Manager with Rycon Construction in Pittsburgh. He was an avid golfer and loved listening to Neil Diamond songs and working with model trains. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother Russell Brunecz. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 32 years Jody E. Brunecz; son Hunter Brunecz; brother Phillip Brunecz of Easton, Maryland; and sister Dawn (Rob) Cichon of Mandarin, Connecticut.

James R. Faison, age 82, of North Versailles passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019. He was born March 22, 1937 in Jeannette, the son of the late Lynwood and Laura Faison. He attended St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport and was a member of the Elks in Norwin. He worked for over 31 years as a MI Writer working with manufacturing blueprints for Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh. After retiring, he worked in the tri-state area setting up Hallmark Card displays in stores. He is survived by his wife of over 58 years Georgeanne W. (Wallace) Faison; children Michelle (Paul) Wassel of Scottdale and James R. (Bernadette) Faison Jr. of Murrysville; grandchildren Mallory Schank of McKeesport and Ross Schank of White Oak; and sister Margaret Roy.
