Martin A. “Bam Bam” Frederick, 67, of North Huntingdon, died Monday July 23, 2018 at home surrounded by family. He was born February 13, 1951 in Greensburg, the son of the late Arnold F. and Patricia (Minnicks) Frederick. He was the owner of Stirling Motors, Irwin, and was a member of the Pennsylvania Independent Auto Dealers Association. He loved hunting and boating and enjoyed motorcycles. He is survived by his wife Barbara K. (Eddy) Frederick; his children Zachary C. (Jancee) Frederick of Pagosa Springs, CO, and Courtney R. (Mark) Cowell of North Huntingdon; his sisters Bonnie Dalrymple of Richmond, VA and Pamela (Dennis) Piper of Greensburg; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Louise D. (Napolitano) Dye, age 73, of White Oak, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018. She was born July 24, 1944 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Pellesce) Napolitano. She was a registered nurse caring for newborn infants at Magee and then at Excela Westmoreland before retiring. She attended St. Angela Merici Parish in White Oak and enjoyed attending the church bingo events. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert A. Dye. She is survived by her children Robert A. (Lori) Dye II of North Huntingdon and Susan L. Dye of Moon Twp.; grandchildren Emily, Joseph and Kristin; great grandchildren Ava and Greyson; and sister Hilda (Ronald) Krutz of Gibsonia.

Donald J. Williams, 79, a longtime resident of North Versailles, died Tuesday July 10, 2018. He was born December 24, 1938 in Lincoln Place, a son of the late James and Dolores (Ohm) Williams and was also preceded in death by a brother Paul Williams. Don was a graduate of McKeesport High School, class of 1957 and worked for 42 years at Westinghouse Airbrake Company, Wilmerding. He was a longtime volunteer for East Allegheny Meals-On-Wheels and was a willing and helpful neighbor to many. He was a true Christian and his willingness and cheerful spirit will be missed by all. He was a devoted husband for 47 years to Janet L. (Arnosky) Williams; brother of Rev. Robert (Yvonne) Williams, John D. Williams, and Mary Jean Sherrill; and uncle of Deborah Sammons, Cristin Kersten, and Lance and James Williams.

She was a former cafeteria employee for Norwin School District and a former member of Calvary Assembly Church, North Huntingdon, where she was a pianist, choir member, and active with Women’s Ministries. She had served as treasurer for the Fairmont Hahntown VFD Ladies Auxiliary, was a member of the Democrat Club, Italian Ladies Club, VFW Post 781 Auxiliary, TOPS Club, Irwin Eagles, and Women of the Moose. Kathleen “Kass” Jean (Kunkle) Sofaly passed from this world on June 25, 2018, at Transitions Healthcare in North Huntingdon, after courageously living with Parkinson’s disease for over 20 years. Kass was born October 28, 1934 in Ligonier, the first daughter of Agnes Kinney Kunkle and Raymond Kunkle. In addition to her parents, she was greeted in heaven by her loving husband Jerry Sofaly. Celebrating her life are her two daughters Leslie Sofaly Peters (Kent) of Columbus, Ohio, and Lynn Sofaly Boyd of Harrison City, and her son John “Jack” Sofaly (Julie) of North Huntingdon. She leaves six grandchildren, Charles Nider (Tracy), James Peters, Alex Boyd, Katie Sofaly, Don Sofaly and Paul Sofaly, and one great granddaughter Caroline Nider.

Dorothy and her late husband Angelo co-founded the popular eatery Angelo’s Ristorante in 1956 on Rt. 30 in Irwin. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin, a former member of the Irwin Garden Club and belonged to several golf leagues. Cooking was her passion. Surviving are her children John M. (Sana) DiTommaso, Denise (Vince) Dalicandro, and Debbie (Robert) Huey; her grandchildren Christian Koury, and Angela and Alyssa Huey; and her great granddaughter Viviana Koury.

He was a long-time member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in North Huntingdon where he served as an elder and on their property committee and was proud of his membership in the Norwin Men’s Prayer Fellowship. He was a World War II Army veteran that served in the 188th Combat Engineer Battalion attached to General Patton’s 4th Armored Division. He retired after 42 years as a production coordinator for Westinghouse Corporation in East Pittsburgh.

She enjoyed oil painting and was a member of the Norwin Art League and was well known for her sense of humor, and sweet and pleasant disposition. She worked for a number of years at the former Cox’s Department Store, Norwin Shopping Center. She is survived by her children Susan Lee Hill and her husband Jeffrey of Irwin and Debra Jane Lenhart of Coolville, OH; a sister Billie Elms of North Huntingdon; nieces Jana Kay Elms and Paula Carr; and great nephews Ian Elms and Travis Carr.
