Frances Ruth Garrison, age 90, of Glassport, died November 15, 2016 at home. Born January 23, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Beacher and Vallie (Knox) Younkin and the wife of the late James A. Garrison.
Frances was a practicing Jehovah Witness and a homemaker. Frances was most famous for her spaghetti sauce and chicken noodle soup.
She is survived by son, William J. (Joanne) Garrison of Harrison City; daughter, Dorothy Nehila of Glassport; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; uncle, Merle Knox of Berlin, PA; nieces and nephews.

Dorothy F. Giles, age 85, of North Versailles, died November 13, 2016, at home. Born July 22, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Frances (Mish) Zoller and the wife of the late George Giles.
Dorothy had retired as a sales clerk from Cooper’s Animal Supply. She attended the Prayer Time Cathedral in White Oak. Dorothy loved going to the casino, playing the lottery, shopping and dinners out.

Kyle Petty, age 21, of McKeesport, died Nov. 8th, 2106, at UPMC Mercy. Born Aug. 3, 1995, in McKeesport, he was the son of Shawn and Karri (Mask) Petty.
Kyle was a good son and a good friend. Everyone thought of him as their little brother. His daughter, Khyla, was his world.
In addition to his parents and daughter, survivors include his love and Khyla’s mother, Samantha Picone; siblings, Cori, Dashia, Raelynn, Shawn Jr., Daniel, Diaz, Shane, Tamara and Mariah; aunt, Krista Pettis and uncle, Robert Petty; cousins. Kyle was preceded in death by sister, Shawntae.

Rodger C. Hall, age 83, of White Oak, died November 4, 2016, at his residence. Born September 4, 1933, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Friend Arthur and Ada (Toms) Hall and the husband of Anna (Salvi) Hall, for over 61 years.
Rodger retired from US Steel Homestead Works, where he was a millwright. He was a member of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, where he was an usher and a member of The Holy Name Society. He was a US Marine Corps. veteran serving during the Korean War. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed caring for his home. Rodger especially enjoyed trips with his wife to Myrtle Beach, SC and Seaside, NJ.

Mr. James Albert Blair, age 60, of Liberty Borough, died October 24, 2016, at his home. Born April 18, 1956, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Robert and Alberta (Ondrey) Blair.
Before he retired, James worked as a brakeman for Union Railroad. James was good at fixing things; he enjoyed working on cars and accomplishing home projects.

Patrick J. Mercurio, age 92, of McKeesport, died October 24, 2016, at Riverside Care Center. Born November 30, 1923, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Costantino and Giovanini (Masceri) Mercurio and the husband of Mildred (Keresman) Mercurio, for over 60 years. Patrick worked at Cox’s Department Store, where he was a buyer in the men’s clothing department for over 25 years and later retired from Macy’s, as a salesman. He was US Army veteran, serving during WWII.

Theresa Elizabeth Whitacre, age 93, of McKeesport, died October 24, 2016, at John J. Kane Regional Center. Born January 7, 1923 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John and Victoria (Barr) Ochap and the wife of the late John W. Whitacre, Sr.
Theresa was retired from McKeesport Hospital as a unit secretary. She was a member of Evangelical Congregational Church and taught Sunday School and OCF classes. Theresa volunteered for Meals on Wheels and loved trips to Florida visiting her sister.

Moira Brown, age 65, of Christy Park, died October 23, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport. Born February 11, 1951, in Lancaster, England, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Margaret (Ord) Zawasky and the wife of James C. Brown, Sr.
Moira worked as a home care nurse and cook until retirement. She was a great cook and was best known for her potato salad. She enjoyed camping at Deep Creek, MD and spending time riding motorcycles with her husband. Moira was truly the glue of the family.

She was a member of St. Patrick Parish, where she was active with Christian Mothers, Bible Study Group, St. Anthony Novena and The Divine Mercy Prayers.

Margaret (Peg) Barowich, age 84, of Virginia, formerly of Port Vue, died on October 18, 2016, at Mary Washington Hospice, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Donald R. Coulter, age 75, of McKeesport, died October 12, 2016, at Select Specialty Care in McKeesport. Born January 14, 1941, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late John and Jessie (Moon) Coulter. Don was a self-employed painter for most of his working years. He lived at McKeesport Towers and had many friends there. He enjoyed old movies, sports, bingo and ice cream. Many cousins survive Don, including Katherine Daugherty and Dennis Moon.

Diane E. Hausenberger, age 76, of McKeesport, died October 2, 2016. Born November 6, 1939, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Edna G. (Craven) Wilson and the wife of the late Richard Hausenberger.
Diane was very caring and colorful person. She enjoyed writing, cookies and all types of flowers.
