Diana A. Dale, age 74, of Port Vue, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at UPMC McKeesport. Born August 29, 1949 in Homestead, she was a daughter of the late Carl Boyd and Roberta (Parks) Jesse and wife of the late Charles K. Dale. She was a loving Mom to and is survived by daughter, Carlene Kellar-Hospodar of Port Vue, and sons, Terry Kellar II of San Diego, CA and Philip (Kim) Kellar of Elizabeth; she was a loving Grammy to her grandchildren, Terry Kellar III of Greenock, Alexa (Erik Fuson) Hospodar of Murrysville, Elijah Hospodar of Port Vue and Delaney Kellar of Elizabeth; sisters, Clara Hill, Ethel Ward, Roberta Wilbur and Norma (Donald) Kite; brother, Carl (Vickie) Boyd; also, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne and Raymond Boyd and former husband, Terry Kellar Sr. Friends and family will be received in the Paul E. In Loving Memory of Dr. Thomas A. Dias. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Thomas A. Dias, 62, of North Huntingdon. He died unexpectedly of a cardiac arrest on January 1st, 2024. Tom was a vibrant person who lit up a room and has had a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known him. Born in McKeesport in 1961, Tom was the cherished son of Rosemary Dias and the late Thomas M. Dias and brother to Tracey. He was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School in 1979. He received his undergraduate education at Auburn University and WVU, followed by his DMD from Temple University School of Dentistry, where he met his future wife. He was a loving husband of 35 years to Jeanne, a proud father to his daughters, Christina and Jessica, and father-in-law to Andrew. Tom also had a special place in his heart for his dogs, Lily and the late Lacey, and grand dogs, Mika and Kaiya. Tom was fortunate to have a large extended family and many close friends. Tom’s devotion extended beyond his family and into his professional life. A dedicated and skilled dentist, Tom was the proud owner of dental practices in Irwin and Versailles. His commitment to the well-being and smiles of his patients defined his professional life. He was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was an accomplished golfer, bowler, skier, pianist, and singer. He truly excelled at each of these pursuits and lived a full and happy life.  To honor Tom’s memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (humaneanimalrescue.org) or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (bcrf.org). In doing so, we can continue his legacy of caring for others. William John "Bill" Greiner, 77, of Jefferson Hills passed away at home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. He was born May 6, 1946 in McKeesport and was son to the late Joseph Julius and Lillian (Coddington) Greiner. Bill was a McKeesport High School graduate and served in the US Navy. He loved sports cars, and enjoyed volunteering his time to help his daughter create crafts for the vacation bible school at their church. In 1973, Bill built his & Maureen's house from the ground up using his beautiful woodworking skills. He also worked many years alongside Maureen as proprietors of WJ's Discount Pet Center.

On January 3, 2024, William “Bill” Gene Nay passed away peacefully at home after a long illness. Born in Fairmont, West Virginia to William Harold and Francis Imogene Nay, he was a 1968 graduate of Norwin.  His career path lead him from journeyman electrician at US Steel Duquesne Works to an international project manager.  Bill was active in NCAA and American Legion baseball. He was a member of the Plum Creek Masonic Lodge and the Monroeville Pitcairn Sports Club.  He enjoyed gambling on golf holes with friends, Bob and Ralph, fishing meetings with Dan and John, big foot talk with Dwayne and motorcycling cross country with Clay.  Bill was preceded in death by his son William  “Billy” Buchanan Nay, his parents, and in-laws, Robert and Helen Buchanan. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judith, son Robert (Lisa) and grandchildren Von, Sullivan, and Jelena Nay of Cary, North Carolina, daughter Stacy (Brian) and grandchildren Nash and Ridge Youngbauer of North Huntingdon, brother-in-law Robert (Cindie) Buchanan of St. Petersburg, Florida, Uncle Rex Shuman of Fort Wayne, Indiana and his canine shadow, Lucy. The family wishes to extend a thank you to Treasure, Karen and Dara from hospice and caregiver Chad for providing a comfortable and dignified life for Bill. Also, thank you to family members and friends who supported and encouraged Bill while battling his illness. Megliss, age 95, of Lincoln Borough, died December 30, 2023, at AHN Jefferson Hospital.  Born September 4, 1928, in Duquesne, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary (Palko) Megliss and the husband of the late Mary "Patsy" Sprentz Priselac Megliss.  John worked for many years in HVAC around the community.  He enlisted in the Navy where he proudly served in World War II. He was a 50 plus year member of the Glassport American Legion Post 443. He also enjoyed hunting with family and friends.

He was born June 7, 1927 in Butler and was the son of the late Gerald O. and Clarissa (Young) Stonebraker.  He was the husband of the late Dianne Louise (Krepps) Stonebraker, who passed away June 19, 2013.  Red was a US Navy Veteran serving during World War II.  He was a graduate of Grove City College and would go on to work for State Farm for 37 years, retiring as a claims superintendent.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Catherine “Kitty” Louise (McNeill) Rosenbayger, age 94, of East McKeesport, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 23, 1929 in Pitcairn, a daughter of the late James and Genevieve (Peduzzi) McNeill. She was a member of Mary Mother of God parish, formerly St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport. Kitty's entire world centered around her children. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, extended family and friends who eventually became family. She reveled in her home being full of love and laughter and everyone was always welcome there.

Kitty loved to bake and was famous for her Christmas cookies and banana bread. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Michael Rosenbayger; grandson Sean Brown; and brothers Jerry, Rich and Bob McNeill. She is survived by her children Randy (Lori) Rosenbayger of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Gery (Lynne) Rosenbayger of North Versailles, Lynn (Bill) Brown of East McKeesport, Connie Rosenbayger of East McKeesport, Kathleen (David) Heckenstaller of Penn Township and Diane (Tom) Santucci of Churchill; daughter-in-law Mariann Rosenbayger of North Versailles; 15 grandchildren and their spouses; 6 great grandchildren; sister Linda Trinchero; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert C. Forney, age 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born on July 3, 1937, in McKeesport, the son of the late Forrest E. and Hazel I. (Bowles) Forney.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Nancy J. (Spahr) Forney; his children, Robert D. (Nora) Forney, Eileen S. (the late, Terry Flowers) Westwater and Judith A. (Scott) Crawford; his grandchildren, Annie (Eric), Jesse (Meghann), Erica, DeAnna (Daniel), William (Jessica), David (Sarah), Jamie, and Wyatt (Lily); 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his three siblings, Doris, Billy, and Marilyn.

Robert grew up in McKeesport attending local schools where he laid the foundation for his love for sports. His love for athletics led him to Youngstown State for a year of college where he continued to play football.

Embarking on a career at Duquesne Light, Robert began as a lineman and, with dedication and leadership, retired as a respected foreman. His work ethic was only matched by his commitment to his community, where he served as the assistant chief for the Liberty Boro EMS and the Chief of the Liberty Boro Fire Co. Robert's leadership extended to his role as Director of Chanters for AL-O-Mon Forest #138 and his active membership in Masonic Lodge #731 and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon.

Helen Marie (Kaduk) Ciavarra, age 96 formerly of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023. She was born on December 31, 1926, in Glassport and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Janitor) Kaduk. She was the second youngest of eight (8) children and attended Holy Trinity School in McKeesport. After attending school, Helen went to work at National Tube in McKeesport. While waiting for the bus to return home from work, she met her future husband Frank Ciavarra. They were married on February 2, 1947, in Holy Trinity Church. Together they had three daughters Valerie Flizanes (Gust) of Irwin, Fran Kos (Paul) of Trafford, Gerri Payne (Denis) of North Huntingdon, and a son Eugene Ciavarra of Mt. Lebanon.

Helen belonged to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (the former St. Perpetua’s) where she was an active member of the Christian Mothers. She was also active in the Palenese Women’s Club, an Italian social organization founded by people from Palena, Italy where her husband Frank was born. Helen loved the color red, plants and flowers, and dancing. To say she loved to dance is an understatement—she was always the first one on the dance floor and the last one to leave the dance floor.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her grandson Eric Kos, and all her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, her eight  grandchildren, her ten great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Harriet Darlene Sigmund, 82, of McKeesport passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023. She was born in Pittsburgh on May 3, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Pauline Hauber & Harry E. Sigmund and stepfather Leonard Hauber.

Harriet was a school bus operator for over 23 years, retiring from McKeesport Area School District then driving for First Student Transportation for Serra Catholic High School. Later she worked for Mercy Behavioral Health as a Medical Records Technician. She was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church and the Christian Mothers and was also a member of Teamster Local Union 205, the American Legion, and Croatian Fraternal Union - Lodge 146. Harriet loved her family, the beach, fishing, gardening, drawing, smoking, scrolling FB, driving, and dancing. She was creative, artistic, loved to bake and taking care of her greenhouse on her back deck.
