Michael "Mikey" John Kiger, Jr., 39, of Versailles, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 at home. He was born March 17, 1983 in Pittsburgh and was the son of Michael John (Debb) Kiger of Versailles and the late Maureen Joan (Szekeres) Kiger. Michael was a Welder and Boiler Maker. He enjoyed working on cars and loved to go boating and fishing. In addition to his father, he is survived by his aunt, Terry Lee (Paul) Burke of Elizabeth Township, uncle, John A. Kiger of Lincoln Borough, step-sister, Renatta Signorini of Greensburg, and many cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life Picnic will be held at a later date. Donald A. "Donny" Chapman, age 71, of Liberty Borough, died June 24, 2022, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born January 21, 1951, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Kumanchik) Chapman and the husband of Linda (Lerro) Chapman for 42 years.
Donny retired from Central Maintenance, where he retired as a supervisor. He was a US Navy veteran serving, on the USS Barney, during the Vietnam War. Donny was the vice-president and beloved member of the Liberty Borough Veterans Association. He enjoyed watching old westerns and the Sci-Fi channel, cards, cornhole, and playing many other games. Donny was also an animal lover, leaving behind his pet bird, "Loki."

Carolyn E. Verosky, 75, of North Huntingdon passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at UPMC East. She was born March 11, 1947 in Braddock, a daughter of the late John U. and Mildred (Beilhart) Newton. Carolyn was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking her children's favorite meals, going out to dinner with family and friends, visiting the casinos, and was a huge Steelers fan. Carolyn loved her cat, Maxx and her, dog, Zoey and taking walks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Murdeen Newton. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Andrea) Verosky, Victor Verosky; daughter, Christine Verosky; brother, Ian Newton; sister, Catherine Costa; four grandchildren, Jessica Doty, Victoria Verosky, Alexandra Verosky and Olivia Verosky; great-grandchild, Avery; and ex-husband, Robert Verosky. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. Sharon Lee Brysh, age 79, of McKeesport, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 with her son by her side. She was born in North Charleroi on December 18, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Harold Guy and Irene Monks Elder. A 1960 graduate of Bentleyville High School, she received an associate degree from Douglass Business School in Monessen. She was employed in the accounting office for Elsie Hillman, was a special needs van driver for Colonial Taxi where the kids affectionately called her "Cabbie". She also worked for Pittsburgh Regional Library Center and eventually retired as an Encoder with the United States Postal Service.

Christopher Thomas Lamb, 60 of Glassport, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at his home. He was born in Pittsburgh on June 11, 1962, to Judith G. (Hileman) and the late Thomas R. Lamb, Jr. Chris was the loving partner of 25 years to Judy Whyel, also of Glassport. He is survived by his mother Judith Lamb of Buckeye, AZ, brothers Scott (Cheri) Lamb of Escondido, CA, and Thomas R. (Heather) Lamb III of Phoenix, AZ, and sister Shannon Mora of Phoenix, AZ. Further survivors include his loving partner Judy Whyel, her children Laura and Lynn, and grandchildren Nick and Marissa. Ella McAraw, 91, of White Oak, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2022. Born October 19, 1930, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (McGinty) McAraw.
She was employed at the U.S. Steel Christy Park Works for 30-plus years. Ella was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church in White Oak, and the Red Hat Society for women. Ella’s life was filled with many trips to the Twinsburg Festival in Ohio with her twin sister Mary. She traveled around the world, including several trips to Ireland, and socialized with her cousin Bernie and other friends and family whenever possible. Ella also loved watching sports and stunned many with her thorough knowledge of local sports figures as well as facts and trivia dealing with her beloved Steelers. Ella’s true passion, however, was her belief and strength in her faith. It was her faith that made her the most comfortable, knowing she was starting her new journey with God.

David C. Godfrey, 69, of Glassport, died June 22, 2022. He is the son of the late Russell and Theresa (Kruszka) Godfrey and beloved wife of Cynthia (Arch) Godfrey. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Melissa (Matt) Scheller; son Mark Godfrey; grandchildren Jade and Landon and sister Cindy (Ryan) Sitko. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Godfrey. David was retired from Penn Coil and was a member of the Reliance Citizen Hose Co. #2 and was also a former Chief. Bonnie Jean Shaffer, age 81, of McKeesport, died on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. She was born in McKeesport on April 26, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Lako Spalla. She was a member of the former St. Peter’s Church in McKeesport. She was very artistic and had a beautiful voice. She sang in the church choir as a young woman.

Darren M. Haramia, age 60 of Munhall, passed away at home on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Born July 11, 1961 in Clairton, he was a son of the late Matthew W. and Helen M. (Yonek) Haramia. A US Army Veteran, Darren was a retired mechanic for Pittsburgh Mailing Services. He is survived by his wife Donna (Ketterman) Haramia; his sons Mark David (Carol) Cochenour of Hermitage and Robert (Darlene) Cochenour of Munhall; his grandchildren Allan Stodolsky and Kaitlyn, Davey, Noah, Nevin, and Mahlah Cochenour; his great-grandchilden Kayla and A.J. Stodolsky; his brother Brian Haramia of Jefferson Hills; his Aunts Barb (Regis) Fiore, Deborah Yonek, and Janet (William) Clelland; his uncles William Yonek and Robert (Catherine) Haramia; and also many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Besides his parents, Darren was preceded in death by his uncle Paul Yonek.

Frank G. Bonadio, age 82, of North Versailles, died June 20, 2022, at UPMC McKeesport. He was born on October 18, 1939, in Lock Haven, PA, and was the husband of the late Marigold (Morgan) Bonadio.
Frank worked for U.S. Steel as a Millwright and then for the National Institutes of Health. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 375.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Michelle Domiano, and grandsons, Matt (Aly), Joshua, and Dan Domiano.

Alice J Kushner, 92, of Cairo, NE, formerly of Port Vue, PA and Canton Ohio, passed away June 11, 2022 at Tiffany Square Care Center in Grand Island, NE.
Alice was born March 7, 1930 in McKeesport, PA to Steve and Mary (Tomko) Banick. She grew up in McKeesport and graduated from McKeesport High School in 1948.
She was united in marriage to Robert J. Kushner on September 10, 1949. Afterwhich the couple lived in McKeesport then moved to Port Vue from 1953 to 2000. The marriage was blessed with 3 children Victoria (Vicky), Kenneth (Ken) and Robert (Rob).
Alice worked for US Steel in McKeesport from 1948 to 1953 until she had her first child, Vicky. She was then a stay at home wife and mother. She was always there for her children and provided a great home for her family. Ken and Rob remember Alice being a Cub Scout den mother and remember the crafts and projects they did. She helped Vicky with her Girl Scout badges too. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Vue, PA, where her children attended school.
