John William Ivaska, 85,of White Oak, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at home. He was born April 2, 1935 in Duquesne and was the son of the late Jozef and Emelia (Ursin) Ivaska. John was a US ARMY veteran and earned the Good Conduct Medal. He worked for many years as a machinist at numerous places and retired from PEI in Munhall. He was a member of the former St. Mark Lutheran Church in Duquesne and was currently attending Sampson's Mills Presbyterian Church in White Oak.

She was retired as a Tax Collector from the West Mifflin Tax Office, was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, and was a former volunteer at the former St. Joseph Library. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George B. Russell, and children, Jane (surviving spouse, Harry of Mt. Lebanon) Wulff and James (surviving spouse, Joni) Russell.

Born on July 8, 1958, in Uniontown, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Shirley (Thorpe) Riggar. Mrs. Fait was a retired sales clerk for Mantsch's Blue Bonnet Bakery in Homestead. She is survived by a son Stephen (Alisha) Fait, three brothers, Rusty Riggar, Kenny Riggar, and Mark Riggar, three sisters, Diane McGreggor, Rebecca Booker, and Suzanne Martin, one loving granddaughter, Emma Grace Fait, and her significant other, Ed Humenik. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, John Fait, and a brother, Bernard Riggar.

He was a retired rehabilitation counselor for the Commonwealth of PA, a retired Intermediate Unit Consultant, was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish-St. Angela Merici Church, former member of Christ the Light of the World Parish-Holy Name Church, and he enjoyed using his computer and listening to music, but most of all loved his family. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Catherine “Kay” (Zimmerman) Stump; father of William Stump of Duquesne, Catherine “Kitty” (William) Balaban of North Huntingdon, Jacklyn (James) Troff of North Huntingdon, R. Michael “Mike” Stump of Jefferson Hills, Margaret “Maggie” (Steve) Rack of Dravosburg, John Stump of North Huntingdon, and Daniel (Kristy) Stump of North Huntingdon; grandfather of Skyler Stump, Shane Stump, Samuel Stump, Catherine Balaban, William Balaban, Emma Balaban, Gianna Stump, Carlos Stump, Annie Stump, Conner Stump, Jayden Mikula, Kiya Mikula, Kenzy Mikula, Dylan Stump, and Katelyn Stump.

Kathryn "Katie" Scalzitti, age 56, of North Huntingdon, went to meet Jesus December 22, 2020, at home. Born October 9, 1964, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd "Bud" and Jane (Quinn) Johnston and the wife of the late Terry Scalzitti.

Katie was an X-ray Technician in her early years. She worked at her brother's auto dealerships and was a co-owner of Terry's Auto Glass and Hempfield Motors. Katie was also a proven interior designer.  Katie enjoyed traveling, attending bible study, and spoiling her numerous nieces and nephews. She had the most wonderful sense of humor and was a very giving person to all she knew. Katie loved all animals and adored her cat, "Taz," along with all her other pets that have preceded her in death and crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Katie is survived by her twin brother, Dan Johnston, her loving sisters, Patty (Tom) Ziegler, Pam, MaryEllen, Sandy, and Elizabeth.

Whitmore, 64, of Duquesne, died Dec. 31, 2020.  She is survived by her beloved husband Keith Whitmore, daughters Sharome Urbano and Madonna Williams and grandchildren Cassie, Dominic, Jarelle and Jaden.  Norma was a unit clerk for Kane Regional Center, UPMC Childrens and UPMC Presbyterian.  She was a member of St. Agnes Church and the Philippines Society of America.  Friends received Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, Duquesne, on Thurs. from 2-4 and 6-8.  A funeral mass will be held Fri. 10:00 am at St. Agnes Church, West Mifflin.  A private interment will be held Monday at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

(Wiggins) Singler.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Delbert L. Singler who was killed in action while serving in Vietnam and brother David J. Singler.  Before her retirement, Maryann worked as a First Student Bus Driver and a Hillcrest Middle School cafeteria worker for 25+ years.  She often talked about all the children that she served and took such pride in her job.
