Anna L. Biber, age 88, of Elizabeth Township, died on January 6, 2021. Born in Pittsburgh on October 6, 1932 she is the daughter of the late Katherine Currie and the wife of the late Donald Biber. She worked as an administrative assistant for Boston Mutual Insurance Company. She enjoyed volleyball, fishing, and bowling with her friends.

Adolph Daniel "Dan" Schultz, 74, of North Huntingdon, formerly of West Mifflin, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021. He was born September 26, 1946 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Henry and Hanna (Henderson) Schultz. Dan was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon, White Oak American Legion, IBEW Union Local 5, and enjoyed bowling with his friends at New Great Valley Lanes. He was a US Army Veteran and was retired Electrician. He loved camping and classic cars.

Cliff Whitehead of North Huntingdon and formerly of Port Vue, died at (UPMC) McKeesport Hospital where he was born 82 years ago on August 26, 1938. He was the son of the late John and Helen Whitehead. Cliff was the devoted and loving husband of Sally (deceased) for 53 years.

Many people said Cliff was “one of a kind”. Over the years, he made many friends through his ventures in a variety of vocations and avocations including high school basketball at McKeesport under Cornelius “Neenie” Campbell, a stint in the U.S. Army where he entertained troops and civilians as a member of the singing group The Dinaros while stationed in Turkey, appliance specialist at Wander Sales and Kmart, positions in banking and finance including a colorful career as a collections agent (“repo man”), entrepreneur as owner of a Fox’s Pizza Den, chauffeur at The Lemon Tree, PIAA football and basketball official, and unofficial “Mayor of Sunset Valley” with the best neighbors ever.

Sheedy, age 92 of Versailles, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Riverside Nursing Center, McKeesport.  Born January 26, 1928 in Versailles, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Takash) Biro.  A member of the Free Hungarian Reform Church of McKeesport and the Versailles AARP, besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, the late James J. Sheedy who passed away January 9, 2005; her brothers Alex, Andrew, Joseph, and George Biro; and her sisters Ethel Simon, Mary Kosareck, Sue Jacob, Elizabeth Tolone, and Kay Starry.  She is survived by her sons James A. (Linda) Sheedy of Versailles and with whom she resided for ten years and David B. (Michelle) Sheedy of North Huntingdon; her grandchildren Jake, Jared, David, Elliot, Aaron, and Caroline; her great-grandchildren Alexandra and Julian; and many nieces and nephews.

John Stephen Pavlik, Jr., 71, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021. He was born February 17, 1949 in McKeesport and  was the son of the late John Stephen Pavlik, Sr. and Marian Christine (Yonek) Bartko and step-son of the late Joseph Bartko. He was a US ARMY veteran serving in the 101st Airborne in Vietnam and for his service he was awarded The Purple Heart, The National Defense Service Medal,The Army Commendation Medal, The Bronze Star Medal, The Air Medal, and The Vietnam Campaign Medal.  John retired after 30 years of service at US Steel in Clairton. After retirement he taught pipefitting at CCAC and worked for MK Technologies. He was a jack of all trades that could fix anything and was also an Eagle Scout.  He loved boating, camping and sailboats. His favorite past time was spending time at his camp in Waterford on the porch with his dog Misha.
