Harry "Butch" Slick, 75, of North Versailles Twp. died June 26, 2021, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.
Born May 11, 1946 in Rankin, PA, he was the son of the late Irene Slick and George Blazevich. Beloved brother of Marie Cindric and the late Eugene(Corinne) Slick. Beloved husband of Jacqueline Smith. Loving father of Laurie Rudolf, James, David (Kimberly), Jennifer & Jason Slick. Grandfather of Jason, Allen, Chris & Ambrosia. Great Grandfather of Mya and Declan. He is also survived by wonderful nieces and nephews: Terri, Debbi, Tracey, Jeff, Jim, Ani, Michelle (Mendenhall) and Billy, and Gina Slick along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also leaves behind Aunt Rita Caruso and Aunt Loretta Slick, brother in laws: Fred Sr. (Jo Ann) and Paul (Peggy) Smith and sister in laws: Elsie Clark and Jo Ann Cavrak.

Barbara A. Strucker, age 84, of Port Vue passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2021.
Beloved wife of 61 years to John R. Strucker; loving mother of Denice and David Pazuchanics; devoted Grammie of Alexander and Michelle Pazuchanics and Nicholas Pazuchanics; daughter of the late George and Mildred Beck; sister of Paul (Evelyn) Beck, Helen (Ray) Brown, Jay (Cynthia) Beck and the late Marie (Fred) Wilson, Joe (Joan) Beck, Bill (survived by Emma) Beck, Ruth (Joe) Lucas, Rosemae (Jack) Bowers, Angie (survived by Bill) Doherty, George Beck, Bruce (survived by Janet) Beck and Anna Marie (John) Wheeler. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Barbara was honored to be a graduate of St Francis nursing school in Bloomfield. She worked as a registered nurse at McKeesport Hospital for over 30 years, in both the Behavior Health Unit and then as a medical surgical nurse. She was an avid supporter of the Port Vue Athletic Association - cheering on her husband's beloved Blue Rock teams, working in the concession stand, or coaching her own girls softball teams. The community of friends that formed there became her extended family. Barb became a professional fan of her grandchildren. She was thrilled to watch many live performances, concerts and high school musicals, and tried to not miss any of them. She watched many soccer, volleyball and basketball games as well, not exactly a quiet fan - she was especially helpful if a referee missed a call. In recent years, Barbara most loved spending time with her family. She taught all of us the value of friendships and being passionate about your beliefs. She was generous with her time and talents to many local organizations, and always available to anyone who needed her. Her sense of humor and colorful language will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew her.

Harry G. Miller, 78, of West Mifflin, died June 29, 2021. He is the son of the late John and Mildred Miller and beloved husband of the late Marie (Gorscak) Miller. He is survived by his daughter Tina Gabrielcik; son Michael Miller, grandchildren Kimberly and Joey Gabrielcik; sisters Patricia Lucas, Laura DeBor, Kaye Timko, Sister Bridget Miller and Rita Wise; brother Joseph Miller; also nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Jack Miller and James Miller. Harry was a retired material controller for Bombardier; a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish; attended Catholic Seminary High Schools in Michigan, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania; and he attended Duquesne University until enlisting in the U.S. Army where he served in the Vietnam War. Friends received Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, Duquesne on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. A funeral mass will be held Sat. 10:00 am at Holy Name Church. Interment following St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin.

Andrea Feeser, age 57, of Oberseld, Germany, gained her wings on April 19, 2021, to be with her Dad, Brother and Grandparents. Born July 7, 1963, she was the daughter of Rita Feeser of Oberseld, Germany and the late Artur Feeser. She will be lovingly remembered by her mother; daughter, Sabrina Fusari and her husband; her grandchildren, Alexandro Fusari and Santino Fusari; her sister, Gaby Solomon of White Oak, her nieces, Nicole and Starr, and their father, Skip; and her great niece and great nephews. Louis L. "Lou-eye" Durka, age 73, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Irwin died June 28, 2021 at the Grove, North Huntingdon. He was born May 16, 1948 in Belle Vernon, a son of the late James and Dorothy Durka. Lou was the owner of Custom Concrete. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, canning, doing concrete work, old western movies, his truck, Old Milwaukee beer ( non-alcoholic). Lou-eye was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Janice K. Bartko, age 65, of McKeesport, died June 25, 2021, at home. Born November 20, 1955, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Janet C. (Lewis) Glos.
Janice worked for the University of Pittsburgh in the payroll and benefits department. She graduated from South Allegheny High School and continued on to get an Associate's Degree from CCAC.
Janice was an animal lover. She especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Penelope.

Gordon S. Carter, age 89, of McKeesport, died June 22, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born January 7, 1932, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Wayne and Elizabeth (Sari) Carter. Gordon graduated from McKeesport Technical High School in 1949 and then enlisted in the Navy that August. He would receive his training at Naval Station Great Lakes in Illinois as a Fire Control Technician. While on active duty, he served aboard the USS Hector (AR-7), USS Owen (DD-536) and participated in the Battle of Inchon.

James "Jim" L. Petro, 84, of Leesburg FL, formerly of McKeesport, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021. He was born August 9, 1936 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John and Margaret (Bugan) Petro. Jim is an Army Veteran and served in Germany during the Berlin crisis. He was a proprietor of Premco, Inc., a machine shop in Christy Park before retiring to Florida. He coached the St. Angela Bruins boys and girls basketball teams, taking his teams to multiple section and diocesan championships. He was a member of the St. Angela Merici Parish, the White Oak American Legion Post 701, and was the Secretary of Premco Golf League.

An Army veteran, he was self-employed at Rondell Coal Co. in Forward Twp. and was a workaholic until the day he died. Born May 6, 1934 in Monongahela, he was a son of the late Nickolas and Stella (Schuse) Lovric and husband of the late Loretta Jean (Rusnak) Lovrich. He is survived by children, Ronald G. (Tracy) Lovrich Jr. of Forward Twp., Rhonda (Kevin) Blazer of Forward Twp. and Laura (John) Beluschak of Fredricktown; and grandson, Nickolas Lovrich of Forward Twp. Alonzo L. Brown, Jr. 87, was born and raised in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He entered this world on October 23, 1933, in McKeesport, PA. He was the beloved son to Alonzo L. and Minnie (Casen) Brown, departed this life on June 24, 2021, at home.
Alonzo attended the Mckeesport Area High School and graduated in 1951. Upon graduation, he would enlist and serve in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After receiving an honorable discharge he would later reenlist in the Naval reserves.
Alonzo worked at USS Steel, National Tube Works and Mon Yough Community Services where he retired at the age of 80. He was a member of the American Legion and Post 0666. Alonzo was also a lifetime member of St. Paul AME Church. He served as a member of the Trustee Board and the Senior Usher board. Alonzo loved his family and being with his family. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, family vacations and attending the Brown-Gregory family reunions.
After retiring, Alonzo could often be seen driving his red truck and visiting with his friends at the “Coffee Shop”. He would leave early in the morning but was always home for lunch. In the evenings at home, he enjoyed watching the Travel Channel, The Antique Road Show and National Geographic. He instilled in his children an excellent work ethic. He taught them to underpromise and overdeliver.

Kathleen loved spending time at their camp in Cochranton, PA, fishing, dancing, and going to Flea Markets.
