Elizabeth "Betty" Kaczkowski, age 97 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020 in Grandview Estates in Elizabeth Twp. Born December 23, 1922 in Duquesne, she was a daughter of the late Stephen Budai and Elizabeth (Vargo) Budai Simons. A 1941 graduate of McKeesport High School, Betty was an assembler at Westinghouse during World War II, retired as a department manager at Zayre's in Olympia Shopping Center, and was a member of St. Michael's Parish in Elizabeth Twp. and the AARP Boston Chapter. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore S. Kaczkowski, who passed away September 24, 2012; her son Eric Kaczkowski, who passed away in 1972; and her grandson Eric D. Kaczkowski who passed away in 2011. Betty is survived by her son Thaddeus W. (Cheryll) Kaczkowski of Elizabeth Twp. and her grandson Stephen (Sadie) Kaczkowski of Wexford.

While he may have left the farm, the farm never left John. He was a lifelong lover of horses, dogs, hunting, the outdoors, cowboy songs and bluegrass music. John was a gifted fiddle player, dabbled with the guitar and dulcimer, and recorded a few albums that are treasured by his family. He enjoyed woodworking, making small crafts as well as building and refinishing furniture. John’s family will particularly miss his wit, charm and quirky sayings, aphorisms and songs.
John was preceded in death by Betty, his wife of 68 years, his brothers Joseph and William Burk, sister Mary Gess and daughter-in-law Judy Burk. He is survived by his son, John G. Burk Jr. and daughters Roxy Palmer (Alan), Betty Harris (Jay) and Donna Kenney (Lawrence); grandchildren John Garret Burk, Nicholas Brannick (Erin), John (J.J.) Jankowski (Kelli), Ashley Riestra (Fernando) and Logan Jankowski; and great-grandchildren, Liam, Kaelin and Nathaniel Brannick, Conor Jankowski and Emma Riestra.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 10 at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. Service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 11 in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont with military honors. Doris Ruth Patellis, age 88 of Elizabeth Twp. and formerly of Clairton, passed away at home on Thursday, March 5, 2020. Born October 18, 1931 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret (Owens) Theobald. A graduate of Clairton High School and retired secretary with Landmark Trucking of Jefferson Hills, Doris was an active member of Pine Run United Methodist Church in Clairton. She is survived by her daughter Peggie (the late Joe) Mitchko of Elizabeth Twp., her granddaughter Renee (Brett) Mitchko Bennedetti of Jersey City, NJ, her sister Alberta (Ronal) Freiwald of Pleasant Hills, her nephew Eric (Kelli) Freiwald of Jefferson Hills, her niece Jerilyn (Steve) Simpson of Pittsburgh, her three great-nephews, and her great-niece.

Joan D. Petrocsko, age 89, of North Huntingdon died March 5, 2020 at her home. She was born May 26, 1930 in Manhattan, NYC, a daughter of the late Robert and Molly Manning Scholz. Joan was a member of the former St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church. She enjoyed reading, canning, gardening and was known by her friends and family to make the best homemade pickles, and Haluski. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother along with being a lifelong collector of knickknacks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Paul and her brother Robert Scholz . She is survived by her beloved husband, Peter, three sons, David P., William P. (wife Cheryl), Edward W. Petrocsko and one daughter Pamela Jayne Craven, 3 grandchildren, Amy L. Petrocsko, Robert E. and Kenneth P. Craven, step granddaughter, Amanda Painter and her fiance, Tom Benevento, one great-grandchild, Aiden Caldarelli and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the James W. Rose M. Cafiero, 95, of White Oak, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020. She was born October 4, 1924 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Nick and Clorinda (Liberatore) Cafiero . She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish - St. Patrick Church in Christy Park. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School Class of 1942 where she was an accomplished flutist in the Orchestra and Marching Band. Rose worked for the former G.C. Murphy Co. Home Office in their Sales Promotion Department for 42 years and was a member of the S.M.E.R.F. organization.

Jesse Lee Ingram 40, of Glassport, passed away on Tuesday March 03, 2020 at his place of employment in McKeesport. He was born in McKeesport on April 21, 1979 to his mother Sheryl LaFollette Ingram and father Joseph L. Ingram. Jesse was the loving husband to his wife and best friend Jessica L. Breitinger. Jesse is survived by his grandmother Barbara LaFollette of Clairton, his mother Sheryl Ingram and father Joseph L. Ingram of Port View, his brother Joseph (Cyndee Carroll) Ingram of Port View, his sister Jennifer (Yusef Rollins) Katana of Port View, his wife Jessica Breitinger of Glassport, and his three children, Alexis Ingram, Ashleigh Ingram, and Jesse Joseph Ingram of Monongahela, as well as his stepson Nicholas Uhren of Glassport. Jesse is also survived by his mother in law Linda Breitinger of Glassport and sister in law Jamie (Mark Fairbaugh Jr.) Breitinger of South Park. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Jesse LaFollette. Jesse was very passionate about Landscaping and gory zombie movies; he loved and cherished his furry best friend Loki, a Pitbull mix that he unwound with at the end of a rough shift. He was a member of the PNA club in Glassport. When Jesse wasn’t with his family and friends he was employed as a steel worker with Tygart steel and was a former lead deck hand for the barges that ran through the Monongahela River.
