Beloved wife of Larry Frum; mother of Michael (Melissa) Dzvonik of West Mifflin, Lori (Sean) McKinney of West Mifflin and Carrie (Mitchell) Joseph of Imperial; stepmother of Melissa (fiancé Andre) Frum of McKeesport and Pamela (Raymond) Cieslewicz of McKeesport; also 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Florence (late Albert) Prior and the late Andrew (surviving spouse Louise) Kopco of West Homestead; best friend of Kathy Mulvihill of West Mifflin. An avid reader, she devoted her retirement years to the Clairton Public Library, surrounded by her love of books. For more than 50 years, Virginia enjoyed playing cards with her card club group. She was known to be extremely kind, compassionate and funny.

Michael Anthony "Duke" Carlson, 72, of White Oak, died Thursday, July 19, 2018. He was born February 26, 1946 in Mineola, New York, and was the son of the late Bernard and Rose Marie (Lamberti) Carlson. Mike grew up in Port Washington (Long Island) New York and moved to Pittsburgh in 1969. He was a machinist for US Steel National Tube Works from 1970 to 1982 and in 1978 became proprietor of Carlson Tree Care, LLC. He never retired, and until recently was climbing trees and cutting firewood. Mike was a member of the Tree Care Industry Association. He is survived by his wife, Roxane Stewart, daughters, Kate  (Jason) Zavacky of White Oak and Kristin Carlson of Irwin. He is also survived by Corinna (Jason) Fox and their children, Mackenzie and Cooper Fox of New Jersey, and Christopher (Kevin Hsyeh) Gaal of California.  He was preceded in death by his son, Kirk Carlson.

Hoak, Sr. and Virginia Regan Hoak.  Melvin worked as a lab technician at AK Steel and was a US Air force Veteran.  He loved to hunt and go to Iowa with his buddies, Ron and Ralph. Melvin loved his family, his little red Corvette and especially his granddaughter, Haley. He is survived by Cindy Sue (Parker) Hoak of Butler, son, Damon (Heather) Hoak of Butler, special granddaughter, Haley Hoak, as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
