John Donald Yarris, 52, of West Elizabeth, formerly of Floreffe, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017. He was born March 30, 1965 in Pittsburgh to Harold “Bud” and Connie Yarris. Along with his parents, he is survived, and will be greatly missed by, his longtime partner, Jamie Robertson; daughters, Brandi (Ruben) Good of McKeesport, Sheri Yarris of McKeesport, Sydney Yarris of Clairton; stepson, Seth Robertson of West Elizabeth; grandchildren, Shania Yarris, Nijia Good, Nakiya Lee, Crisanna Lee; great-grandchild, Raelyn Starek. sisters, Valarie Yarris Becker of Jefferson Hills, Susan Yarris Reid of Ft. Lauderdale FL. John was preceded in death by daughter, Jessica Yarris. John was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, and was previously a cook at Olive Garden in Pleasant Hills. He enjoyed gaming, fishing, and working on cars. John was enthusiastically involved in Boy Scout Troup 1843 of Pleasant Hills and was an integral part of all activities. He was an essential part of his stepson, Seth, reaching the highest level of scouting, Eagle Scout. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Boy Scouts of America, 1275 Bedford Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 11 am to 1 pm at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. E. Marjorie “Margie” (Richardson) Bland, age 78, of Turtle Creek, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017. She was born October 21, 1938 in Wilkinsburg, a daughter of the late Daniel E. Richardson Jr. and Violet Irene (Harry) Cochran. She retired in 2001, as the secretary to the President of Colton Truck Electric, Inc. in California where she lived for over 40 years. She returned to Pennsylvania in 2001 after her retirement. Her interests were bowling, Yahtzee, Bunco, Canasta, ceramics and working. She was also a volunteer at the Turtle Creek Center since 2005. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a half-sister Diane; cousins Carol Ann Ritzel and Laurette Bentz; extended family Toots Meyers. She is survived by her sister Nancy Lee (David) Arendas of Irwin; various cousins scattered about; and adopted family Hazel (George) Perry of California and their grandsons Anthony Perry and his two children of Las Vegas, Nevada and Maria and Ayren Russell Perry of Arkansas and his two children; extended family Rosemarie Batey of California, Carol Cehlar of North Versailles and Louise Malego of McKeesport.

Craig worked as a lumber inspector at Granite Hardwoods and enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. Services were private in North Carolina.

WWII veteran, 1945, serving in Okinawa, as a Corporal in the 1st Marine Division 5th Regt. 2nd Battalion. Michael was born on April 23, 1926, in Duquesne and lived his entire life there. He passed away Thursday evening August 10, 2017, from complications of a tragic vehicle crash. He is survived by Ben G., his best buddy of one year; his son, Gery and his wife, Virginia (Donaldson) Jakub. He was predeceased by his wife, Genevieve “Ginny” of 65 years of marriage; son, Ramon (survived by his wife, Donna) Jakub; grandson, Gery (survived by his wife, Heather) Jakub, Jr.; also surviving are Mikey’s brothers and sisters, Frank, William, Albert, Florence Jakub, and Dolores Mewkalo; predeceased by brothers, Edward Jakub, Andrew Jakub, and John Jakub. He is survived by his grandchildren, Megan, Katie, Adam, Erica, Melissa, and Holly; and great-grandchildren, Sarah, Kendell, Tyler, Melanya, Max, and Jenna. He was an electrician for Continetal Can Coporation. When the plant closed down in the ‘80s he turned off the lights. He continued working until he retired at the age of 89. He serviced the city of Duquesne as well as churches, bars, funeral homes, and residents, in and about Duquesne. He had many extended children whom he treated like his own, Marci, Bob, Sharon, Greg, Bernard, Duane, Terry, and Doug. He will be missed by many and was loved by all. He loved his antique Corvair and his SS454 truck and he never owned a computer. His loving wife, Genevieve was waiting for him at the gates. Visitation is on Saturday from 1-9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. -9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Hedwig Church of Christ the Light of the World Parish at 10 a.m., where he was an usher. Burial will be at St. Hedwig’s Cemetery with military honors, followed by a repast at Holy Trinity Church Hall.
