Albert E. Betar, 98, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday July 24, 2018, at home surrounded by family. He was born July 9, 1920 in Irwin, a son of the late Esper and Mary (Obade) Beter. Al was a graduate of Norwin High School, class of 1939 and received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a retired stock broker for Hefren Tillitson, Inc., Pittsburgh, and past President of the Pittsburgh Stock and Bond Club. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin, an avid poker player and enjoyed going to the casino, and had a pilot license. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, a Pittsburgh sports fan, and enjoyed having coffee with friends.

Mary Jane Schorr age 91, of West Mifflin, on July 23, 2018, at the home of her daughter. She was a daughter of the late John and Mary (McKenna) Dougherty. She was a retired programmer for the State of Pennsylvania and a member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne. Mary Jane enjoyed crafts. Wife of Theodore M. "Bud" Schorr; mother of Janice Schorr of Salt Lake City, UT and Paul (Amy) Schorr of West Mifflin. Also five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Agnes C. Rushe, 102, of Glassport, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 24, 2018.  She was born in Birmingham, AL on January 13, 1916 to the late Robert and Bertha Veitch Tachoir.  Agnes was the loving wife of the late William L. Rushe.  She is survived by daughters, JoAnn Rushe, Ruth Rushe, and Agnes Barrett all of Glassport; sons, Robert (Lori) Rushe of Duquesne, Ralph Rushe of New Baltimore, MI; sister, Frances Shultz of Duquesne; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  Along with her parents and husband, Agnes was preceded in death by sons, Tommy, Terry & Bill Rushe; and siblings, Robert, Leo, Tom, Jack, Pat, Joe, Forest Tachoir, Catherine Odoski, & Lois White. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Pl., Memphis,  TN  38105 Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 4 – 8 pm at   E. She was born September 3, 1943 in Braddock, a daughter of the late Steven and Suzanna (Kraves) Vanisko and was also preceded in death by her first husband Ernest Perri Sr. Elaine was a retired insurance agent and was a longtime Home Interiors representative and demonstrator. She was a member of Miller United Methodist Church, North Versailles, loved to bowl, and enjoyed crafts and going to the casino. She is survived by her husband Norman G. Terrijoni; her children Ernie (Pauline) Perri of Monroeville, Lisa (Shawn) Perri-Lang of West Leechburg, and Annamarie (Tony) Marietta of Hunker; step children Heidi (Jim) McNamara of Hunker and Norman G. Martin A. “Bam Bam” Frederick, 67, of North Huntingdon, died Monday July 23, 2018 at home surrounded by family. He was the owner of Stirling Motors, Irwin, and was a member of the Pennsylvania Independent Auto Dealers Association. He loved hunting and boating and enjoyed motorcycles. He is survived by his wife Barbara K. (Eddy) Frederick; his children Zachary C. (Jancee) Frederick of Pagosa Springs, CO, and Courtney R. (Mark) Cowell of North Huntingdon; his sisters Bonnie Dalrymple of Richmond, VA and Pamela (Dennis) Piper of Greensburg; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia "Ginny" Perlick, age 82, of Clairton passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, 2018 at home while surrounded by family. Virginia attended Clarion University where she studied Library Science and English. She worked as a teacher, spending the greatest part of her career at St. Elizabeth Elementary School in Pleasant Hills. An avid reader, she devoted her retirement years to the Clairton Public Library, surrounded by her love of books. For more than 50 years, Virginia enjoyed playing cards with her card club group. She was known to be extremely kind, compassionate and funny.
