James "Jim" Harry Taylor, 75, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, June 3, 2018 peacefully in his home surrounded by family. He was born October 3, 1942 in Sutersville and was the son of the late James Howard and Martha Jane (Ellenberger) Taylor. He was the husband of the late Carol Ann (Yocum) Taylor who died August 25, 2013. They were married for 46 years. Jim was retired from the former G.C. Murphy Co. Warehouse in Christy Park and was a former Constable in Elizabeth Township for 12 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local 249 where he served as shop steward and was a member of the 1973 negotiating committee. He was also a member of the former Industry Volunteer Fire Co. Jim was elected to serve 2 terms as Allegheny County Democratic Committeeman representing Elizabeth Township's 3rd Ward. He is survived by his sons, Daniel (Samantha) Taylor and Scott (Jill) Taylor of Elizabeth Township and Douglas Taylor of Laurel, MD, grandchildren, Jacqueline, Lauren, Nicholas, Jacob, Brooke, and Zachary, brothers, Grover (Faith) Taylor of Charleroi, and Fred (Kathy) Taylor of Elizabeth Township, sisters, Shirley (Bill) Slagy and Lydia Taylor of Elizabeth Township, nieces and nephews.

She was born May 1, 1950 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise Helen Fazekas Elder. She was Past Matron of Old Glory Chapter 270, Past Mother Advisor of Old Glory 139 and Elizabeth Assembly 120 of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. She was an avid Pirates fan, loved to cook especially for friends and loved to crochet. She is survived by her three children and their families, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Betty Jane (Smith) Lenhart, 93, a resident of Golden Heights, Irwin, died there Friday June 1, 2018. She was born June 10, 1924 in Chattanooga, TN, a daughter of the late Martin and Jane (Boran) Smith. Betty was a faithful church goer who loved music and dancing and had an extreme love for nature. She enjoyed oil painting and was a member of the Norwin Art League and was well known for her sense of humor, and sweet and pleasant disposition. She worked for a number of years at the former Cox’s Department Store, Norwin Shopping Center. She is survived by her children Susan Lee Hill and her husband Jeffrey of Irwin and Debra Jane Lenhart of Coolville, OH; a sister Billie Elms of North Huntingdon; nieces Jana Kay Elms and Paula Carr; and great nephews Ian Elms and Travis Carr.

Jeanne Rae (Rogers) MacDougall, a resident of Wilmington, Vermont passed away December 17, 2017 at her home. Jeanne was born in McKeesport, PA on May 7, 1942 the daughter of the late George and Jessie (Black) Rodgers. Jeanne was preceded in death by her late husband, Alan Miles MacDougall and her parents. She attended McKeesport High School and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Pittsburgh. Upon graduation, Jeanne worked for the United States State Department in Washington DC and retired to Wilmington VT. She was very civically involved in Wilmington helping the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry, Friends of Historic Memorial Hall, a member of the Brattleboro Woman’s Chorus, and attended her beloved St. Mary’s In-The-Mountains Episcopal Church. Jeanne was a world traveler, was a renowned instructor in Scottish Highland Country Dancing, and loved all things Scottish. She is survived by cousins Linda Eminson and her husband Thomas and their daughter Dawn Svor all of Round Rock, TX, Agnus Oskin of North Huntington, Alvin Oskin of Jeanette, Diana Scott of White Oak, James Orr of Murrysville and other cousins in Ohio, Florida, Washington State and Pennsylvania. A committal service for Jeanne will be held on June 9h at 11:00 AM at McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery.

Doris “Dee Dee” Hamilton, age 63 of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 11, 1954, one of six children of Donald H. and Mary Lou (Ray) Hamilton. Dee Dee was an active member of the Duquesne Family Support Center and an avid volunteer and supporter of Duquesne youth athletics.

Nathan K. Stonecipher
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed peacefully this morning at his son’s home in Irwin, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wonderful wife of 62 years, Ellis Stonecipher. He was a loving father to his daughter Martha Stonecipher Gold and son-in-law Andrew Gold, and his son, Robert Russell Stonecipher and daughter-in-law Sherri DeMaria Stonecipher. He had four grandchildren: Lauren Ludovicy, Lindsay Penn, Nathan Stonecipher, Rachel Stonecipher, and one great-granddaughter, Judee Corvina. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Hightower, his half-brother, Steve Wilson, and countless other dear relatives and caring friends.
Nathan was born in Oliver Springs, Tennessee on August 20, 1935. He was a popular athlete at Oliver Springs High School and was very active in the Oliver Springs Historical Society. In addition to his home in Tennessee, Nathan also lived for many years in Monroeville, Pennsylvania and Las Vegas, Nevada. Nathan will be laid to rest in the Oliver Springs Cemetery alongside his mother and father.
