Marion Eugene “Gene” Miller, age 94, of Dravosburg, died July 13, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport. Born December 13, 1921, in Mt. Vernon, he was the son of the late Henry and Loretta (Leonard) Miller and the husband of Mary (Peresh) Miller, for over 44 loving years.
Gene retired from US Steel Duquesne Works, where he was a heavy equipment operator, until he was promoted to dispatcher.

She was born December 8, 1925 in Jefferson Township and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Zona Ammons Hood. She was the wife of the late John W. McCay, Sr., who died January 1, 2007. She was a member of the Bunola Church of the Nazarene and the Pleasant Hills VFW. Catherine was a former Sunday School Teacher and loved to sing.

She was the wife of the late William Stolarek who died May 9, 1976. MaryJane was a member of St. Mark Parish, Liberty Boro and the Glassport American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved playing Bingo, and singing country music with her late husband.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Jo Lannan Butler and her husband Curtis, of McKeesport and Danett Guerra Fahr and her husband Justin, of New Port Richey, FL; grandchildren, James Davis, Jr., Dean Stupar, Jayson Davis, Ameeka Davis, Coleton Fahr and Brielle Fahr; great-grandchildren, Jai'den Davis, James Davis, III, and Aalaya Davis; siblings, Clair (Joanne) Wakefield, Edith (the late Neal) Davis, Barbara (Peter) Pease and Robert (Karen) Wakefield; step-children, Andrew S. Bartko, Gary Bartko, Kelly Estok and Jennifer Gallagher; her beloved companion, John Meyers; many nieces and nephews; and her cherished dog, Oreo. Stanley P. Horvat, age 61 of Elizabeth Twp., formerly of West Mifflin, passed on Friday, July 15, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian. Born July 17, 1954 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Hamar) Horvat, and beloved husband of Sharon (Raymer) Horvat. Stanley was employed with US Steel Duquesne Works, where he worked in the accounting department for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus as a 3rd degree Knight and was a longtime member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth. He was a devoted grandfather who loved to spend time with all of his grandkids, especially collecting football cards for them to enjoy. In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his children, Matthew (Jaime) Horvat of Brentwood, Erica (Glenn) Ace of White Oak, Nicolle (Allen) Booth of Elizabeth and Kasey (Raymond) Zang of White Oak; grandchildren, Owen, Kayla, Tyler, Izabella, Cloè, Alexia, Brayden, Faith, Phoebe, Zavier, Stella and Quinn; brother, Alan (Sharon) Horvat of West Mifflin; sister-in-law, Linda (Dean) Gibson of Simpsonville, SC; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Horvat. Cecilia A. Pollock, age 81, of McKeesport, formerly of Versailles Borough, died July 12, 2016, at John J. Kane Regional Center. Born June 14, 1935 in Blacklick, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul T. and Cecilia Betty (Verst) Pollock.
Cecilia had worked for Pellecchia Beauty Shoppe and retired from Giant Eagle. She was a member of St. Patrick Parish. She enjoyed donating to many organizations.

Raymer “Laddie” Schade Jr., age 74, of Jeannette, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016. He was born October 27, 1941, in Braddock, the son of the late Raymer and Elizabeth “Bess” (Vesco) Schade. He was an Army veteran that served in Vietnam and managed the Isaly’s in Irwin for over 21 years.
