Louise Mallozzi, age 99 of Elizabeth Twp. and formerly of Clairton, passed away at home on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Born October 11, 1922 in Besancon, France, she was a daughter of the the late Alexander and Josephine (Gennari) Cola. A member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish - St. Clare of Assisi Church, Clairton, Louise was a member of the St. Clare of Assisi Parish Womens Guild and the Sons of Columbus, Genova Council #6. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dominick Mallozzi, Jr., who passed away April 15, 1975, her daughter Phyllis (Mallozzi) Petros, and her son Ronald D. Mallozzi. Louise is survived by her daughter Nancy (Larry) Toth of Elizabeth Twp., her grandson Michael (Renee) Toth of South Park; her great-grandsons Alex and Joey Toth; her son-in-law Tom Petros of Port St. Lucie, FL; and also nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary E. Landis, age 78 of Clairton, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Jefferson Hospital. Born June 19, 1944 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Walter J. and Elizabeth J. (Bollman) Bratton. Mary worked as both a microfilmer at Consol Energy in Broughton and as a librarian for the Clairton Public Library. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Kevin C. Landis, Sr., who passed away March 27, 2010, and her brothers..

Russell A. DeMaio, age 72 of Elizabeth and formerly of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at home. Born June 14, 1950 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Albert S. and Vilma (Verlich) DeMaio. A retired bricklayer for both US Steel and Local Union #9 of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen. In his spare time, he loved doo-wop music, playing guitar, old TV westerns like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Big Valley, and Rifleman, but, most of all, he loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Russell is survived by his wife Clara (Oates) DeMaio; his children Russell A. DeMaio, Jr. of Irwin, Carrie R. (Justin) Johnson of Washington, PA, Paula J. (Robert) McClinton of Port Vue, and Joe A. (Kelly) DeMaio of Jefferson Hills; his grandchildren Sarah, Breanne, Danielle, Dana, Marissa, MaLinda, Nicholas, Olivia, and Talia; his great-grandchildren Aubry, Talan, Amelia, Rose, and Lily; his brothers Gary DeMaio of Bethel Park and Ronald "Stumpy" (Jeroma) DeMaio of Rostraver Twp.; and also nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Michele Kelly.

Charles William "Bill" Albrighton, age 97 of Port Vue, passed away at home on Friday, September 23, 2022. Born August 11, 1925 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Charles W. and Emma (Marsh) Albrighton. The retired proprietor of Bill's Barbershop on Versailles Avenue in McKeesport, Bill was a member of Port Vue United Methodist Church, a US Navy Veteran of World War II sering in the Pacific Theater as a Seaman 1st. Class, and an avid golfer and bicyclist. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty (Brunory) Albrighton, who passed away on April 24, 2012, and his six siblings: Betty Warren, Joan Scheetz, Sylvia Nestler, and Dorothy, Ed, and Jack Albrighton. Bill is survived by his daughters Rae Anne (John) Bosnyak of Cranberry Twp. and Diane "Dee Dee" (Blase) Bartko of Mount Vernon; his grandchildren Whitney (Zac) Cumpston, Paige Bosnyak, and Grant (Stacey) Bartko; his great-grandchildren Wyatt and Emmett Cumpston and Benjamin and Blase Bartko; and also many nieces and nephews.

Russell A. Paterra, age 75 of McKeesport and formerly of San Diego, CA, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Born July 15, 1947 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Augustine and Dorothy (Wilson) Paterra. A graduate of the University of Dayton, Russell was a self-employed consultant and executive coach and a golf fanatic, even volunteering as a marshal at the US Opens at both Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines. Most importantly though, he was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather who will be immensely missed by his family and friends. Russell is survived by his wife of 16 years Natalie (Delgado) Paterra; his children Aaron (Renee) Paterra of Belmont, CA and Lyndsie (Eric) Geib of Menifee, CA; his grandchildren Luke, A.J., Jack, Owen, and Lucas; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Dale Paterra.

James Joseph Mayernik, age 60 of Coraopolis, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Born June 12, 1962 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Andrew B. and Mary (Potoma) Mayernik. James was employed by Clean Sweep, Mon Yough Community Services and Citizens Care Affiliates. Active in scouting, he was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. Jim enjoyed biking on the Yough River Trail, swimming and was a remarkable dancer. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Paul. James is survived by his loving sisters Marilou Rubright, husband Terry, Janet Paladino, husband Joel Erion, and brother David Mayernik, wife Amy; and was the favorite Uncle to his 10 nephews and nieces. He will be fondly remembered in his community at Citizens Care. The family would like to offer their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Tony DiBiagio, Lisa Bruce, Victor Porch and all the many staff and friends that were part of his extended family and caregivers.

Joseph Bartolomeo, age 72 of Clairton and Dublin OH, passed away peacefully at his family home, in Clairton, where he resided for the last year, with his wife and son by his side on Friday, September 9, 2022. Born on February 7, 1950 in McKeesport, he was survived by wife Donna Jean (Alderson) Bartolomeo and his son Todd Bartolomeo. He was preceded in death by his son Joey Bartolomeo, his parents Carmela and George L. Bartolomeo Sr., and his brother Bob Bartolomeo. His surviving brothers are George L. Bartolomeo Jr. of Blue Springs MO, and John Bartolomeo of NYC. A 1968 graduate of Clairton High School, and a 1972 graduate of I.U.P., where he received bachelor’s degree in education and played football. He graduated from Franklin University in Columbus Ohio with his master’s degree in business. Joe worked as a manager at Busy Beaver in Monessen, where he won manager of the year, a car and many awards. He was promoted to regional manager at Busy Beaver Home Centers for the state of Ohio. He came home to PA and worked as Vice President for Stanford Home Centers and Magic 97 FM and B94 FM in marketing, public relations, outside sales. He retired from Fairfield Development at their Dublin, Ohio location, as Project Manager and Assistant to the East Coast Regional Manager.

Edward J. Bleil, age 85, of Elizabeth, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. He was the retired owner of Bleil Indoor Air in Elizabeth, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Pleasant Hills Masonic Lodge 509. He was also a member of the former Primitive Methodist Church in Buena Vista. Born April 18, 1937 in Clairton, he was a son of the late Edward N. and Sophia (Stanczak) Bleil. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gayle (Holliday) Bleil; daughter, Kelly Dziaminski of Elizabeth; sons, Edward "JR" (Donna) Bleil of Elizabeth and Kevin (Karen Slavick) Bleil of Elizabeth Twp.; grandchildren, Nikki (Michael) Lupari, Danielle (Orrie) Rockwell, Natalie Bleil and Grant (Kaylee) Bleil; great-grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Danica and Easton; sister, Bernie Jenkins-Hillman of Forward Twp.; also, nieces and nephews. Russell G. "Rusty" Boal, age 55, of Elizabeth, formerly of Clairton, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 at home. He was a maintenance supervisor for CMS Properties in Pittsburgh. He was an assistant softball coach and loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles. Born December 23, 1966 in McKeesport, he was a son of Evelyn A. (Olesky) (Edward) Bendik of Clairton and the late David R. Boal. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tiffany A. (Scott) Boal; daughters, Elizabeth, Olivia and Sarabeth Boal at home; son, Michael Boal at home; brothers, David (Marsha) Boal of Jefferson Hills and Jeffrey Boal of White Oak; also, nieces and nephews.
