Bernadette Ann (Chasko) Stricklin, age 79, of Elizabeth, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital. She retired as an office manager for Biddle Chiropractic in Elizabeth. She was a former member of St. Michael Parish. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She retired after more than 45 years as an insurance agent/tax preparer for Allegheny Insurance in McKeesport. She was a former member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in McKeesport.

Helen Totin, age 88 of Port Vue, died peacefully Thursday, April 10, 2019, at her home, where she lived her entire life. Helen was the youngest of nine siblings born to Wasil and Julia (Gocza) Totin on December 4, 1930 and lived an active life growing up with her two sisters, Marge and Anne and six brothers, Russell, John, George, Mike, Pete and Albert all of which predeceased her as well as one niece, Terri Anne Gibney.

Elizabeth "Lib" R. (Davis) Townsend, age 87, of Gettysburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Genesis Health Care Gettysburg Center. A member of Bethesda United Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth, she retired after 28 years as a deli manager for Marraccini's in Elizabeth. Libby was a good mother, a warm grandma, and a very proud great-grandma. She was a devoted sister, a beloved aunt, and loved all children and animals. She was an avid crocheter and a master bread baker. Her family always said, "She had the best buns in town." She was so proud that all of her kids and grandkids are fearless cooks and bakers.

Earl M. Stidard Jr., age 68, of Forward Twp., passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital. He was a retired maintenance worker for the Elizabeth Forward School District and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Born February 17, 1951 in Forward Twp., he was a son of the late Capt. Earl M. Stidard Sr. and the late Harriet (Martin) Stidard. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda (Kozemchak) Stidard; children, Earl M. (Becki) Stidard III of Elizabeth and Lora (Scott Peterman) Safran of Pleasant Hills; grandchildren, Ethan, Lilly, Eli and Aleksa; sister, Leah (Eugene) Palmer of Clairton; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Sylvia, Gerald and Harriet. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Claire A. Panico, age 82 of West Newton and formerly of McKeesport, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 in Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born February 23, 1937 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Catherine Stephens and was also preceded in death by her husband Anthony P. Panico, who passed away July 7, 2003, her son Anthony Todd Panico, and her sister Marian Spencer. Claire is survived by her children Theresa (Barry) Huebner of West Newton, Timothy Panico of Herminie, and Ted Alan (JoAnn) Panico of Versailles; her seven grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; her siblings Catherine Euabank of Virginia, Lorraine Knestaut of Morgantown, WV, and Anthony Stephens of Pittsburgh; and also nieces and nephews.

Kenneth H. Brown, age 95 of Clairton, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 in Jefferson Hospital. Born October 10, 1923 in Elizabeth, he was a son of the late George H. and Jennie (Harkness) Brown. A US Army Veteran of World War II, Kenneth was a member of St. George's Antiochian Orthodox Church in Oakland and retired from US Steel's Clairton Works. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Evelyn (Green) Brown; his siblings Sharon (Vernon) Shotwell of Spring Hill, TN and Don (the late Clementine) Brown of Yardley; and also many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his brothers Russell, Richard, and George "Dale" Brown.

Born July 25, 1923 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Nicholas G. and Anna (Barcic) Barchie. A US Navy Veteran of World War II and retiree from US Steel National Tube Works in McKeesport, James was a member of St. Patrick's Parish, and its Holy Name Society and ushers' group there, and the former Sacred Heart Parish. He was a graduate of McKeesport High School and member of the Greek Catholic Union, CFU Lodge #3 of McKeesport, American Legion #701 of White Oak, Club Dobrotvor, and the AARPs of Versailles and White Oak. James also volunteered at Kane Regional Center, Auberle, and The Intersection, all in McKeesport.

John J. Ciehanoski, age 92 of Clairton and formerly of Whitehall, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 in Lawson's Nursing Home in Jefferson Hills. Born August 2, 1926 in Canonsburg, he was a son of the late Peter and Anna (Gostawska) Ciechanowski. A US Navy Veteran of World War II and retiree from J&L Steel in Pittsburgh, John was a former member of St. Patrick's Church in Canonsburg and a member of the Polish National Alliance of Washington, PA. He joins his wife of 24 years, the late Dolores (Laskowski) Ciehanoski, who passed away May 28, 1990. John in survived by his daughter Kristina (Steve Perunko) Ciehanoski of Clairton, his grandson Ryan (Tina Zaborowski) Lippert of West Mifflin, his great-grand-puppies Remy and Bella, and also nieces and nephews.
