He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in McKeesport, White Oak American Legion Post 701, the Syria Shriners , Scottish Rite, Caravan No. 20, Tall Cedars of Lebanon Al-O-Mon Forrest 138, Masonic Veterans, Knights of Mecca Past Masters Club and the Duquesne-McKeesport F & AM Lodge # 731 where he was a Past Master. Larry was a WWII US Navy Veteran serving on board the USS Macon and was retired from US Steel Duquesne Works.
