James Thomas Konias, 67, of Greenock, passed away on Monday February 12, 2024. He was born September 17, 1956 in McKeesport and was the son of Thomas Konias and the late Joan Lee (DeSantis) Konias. He was the loving husband of 45 years to Kim Konias of Elizabeth Township. James worked at Westinghouse for over 48 years most recently as an Operations Manager. He loved Pittsburgh sports, especially his Buccos. He also coached his daughter's softball and basketball teams.

She was born November 9, 1958 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Chester W. and Miriam A. (Karstunew) Zalewski. Nina was a member of the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church and was a Sunday School teacher for over 20 years. She worked for Atria Senior Living and South Western Nursing as an Activities Instructor.

Keith "Krusher" Herbert Campbell, 64, of Greenock, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born January 3, 1960 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Barbara L. "Babs" (Johnston) Campbell and Edward J. (Peggy) Campbell of Florida. He was a member of the Greenock United Methodist Church, and Teamsters Local 341. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for North East Paving. Keith was a gentle giant and loved his family deeply. His daughter Emma was the apple of his eye from the moment she was born. You always knew where you stood with Keith, friend or foe, he told you like it was. He was very passionate about hunting with his brothers every year for deer season and was his happiest when he was processing his own deer in his basement. He looked forward to turkey season at Twin Kegs every year with his camp buddies and could spot a turkey in a field miles away. His other favorite pastimes were gardening, and cooking for his family, watching every outdoor show on TV, and repairing small engines. Keith devoted his time to the EF Band Boosters as Treasurer and running the concession stand, all for his daughter.

Donald C. Heaverley, 72, of Madison, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024. He was born September 22, 1951 in Greensburg, and was the son of the late David W. and Laura (Yates) Heaverley. He was a Sewickley High School alumni and a graduate of Waynesburg University. He was the sole proprietor of a successful Manufacturer's Rep Corporation, until his retirement in 2006. Don was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved to be outdoors, amongst nature. In his retirement years, he very much enjoyed long bike rides with his wife on the GAP bike trail and daily walks in his back field, watching all the wildlife that would visit. He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, and grandchildren, whom he loved very much.

Holsing, 85, of Elizabeth Twp, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024.  She was born June 4, 1938 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Emil and Sarah Ann (Weaver) Beyer.  She was the late Marvin Harry Holsing, who passed away November 8, 2018.  She worked at the former GC Murphy Warehouse, and would then become a homemaker.  Shirley and her family lived in Hancock, Maine for a time and she really cherished her time there and loved to walk the beach with her husband and family collecting seashells. She also enjoyed looking at shopping catalogs.  She will be greatly missed.

Lester Earl Maurer, Jr.,  88, of Versailles, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He was born June 14, 1935 in Greenock and was the son of the late Lester Maurer, Sr., and Gertrude Beatrice (Taylor) Maurer. Lester attended Christy Park United Methodist Church and the Boston United Methodist Church. He loved baseball and playing softball. He was a avid collector of model trains and spent countless hours decorating his platform each Christmas with elaborate towns and landscapes, most of which he crafted by hand. He was well known for his unique costumes (some he won awards for) and Halloween shenanigans to scare his grandkids or anyone who walked past him sitting on a park bench at Walmart or McDonald's. He found a second family as a patron of the Pittsburgh Renaissance festival, and even earned a spot in the royal parade among the cast and crew.  He played baseball for Christy Park Methodist and was retired from the Equitable Gas Co.

Joseph A. DiFalco, 86, of North Versailles, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024.  He was born March 22, 1937 in Clairton and was the son of the late Domenick and Josephine (DaBaldo) DiFalco. He was the husband of 57 years to the late Shirley Mae (Paul) DiFalco, who passed away December 14, 2017. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish (St. Robert Bellarmine site) and was a part of The Men's Club and organized many oldies dances there. Joseph was a US Army Veteran and was a part of the 46th Medical Batallion, 4th Division.  He was manager of the former Richman Brother's Clothing store and would later work at JC Penny in Monroeville.  Music played a vital part of Joseph's life. He was an accomplished singer in his younger years, he loved to perform, sing and dance, and more recently was a member of The Streetlights Doo Wop Group.  The radio or record player were always on.  He loved to travel, especially to the beach and hang out and spend time with his family, friends and neighbors.  Joseph loved his family, and was the #1 fan of all his grandchildren during all their sporting events growing up.  He will be greatly missed.

Mildred "Mili" Messina, 90, of Versailles, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, Friday, February 2, 2024. She was born August 17, 1933 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late George and Sinnie (Kramer) Forney. She was the wife of the late Carl "Carlo" J. Messina who passed away November 28, 2013. Mili attended McKeesport School of Nursing class of 1954 and worked as a Registered Nurse for 45 years at McKeesport Hospital, later UPMC McKeesport. She was an avid shopper and "high roller" at Macy's. She was a kind and beautiful person inside and out. She is survived by her daughter, Tracey (Terry) Kotouch of Versailles, son, Gregg (Lesley) Messina of Elizabeth Twp, grandchildren, Her little girl Madison, Ryan, Colton, and Brandon (Amber); great-grandchildren, Roman and Brooklyn Kotouch; brother, James (the late Beverly) Forney of Deltona, FL; nieces, Dawn, Debbie and Laurie; and nephew, Jimmy. She was born July 27, 1944 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Leo and Elizabeth "Betty" (O'Rourke) Comer.  She was the wife of the late Steven Suranovich, Sr., who passed away October 10, 2005. Elaine was a member of Mary, Mother of God, St. Patrick Worship Site and a former member of Sts. Joachim and Ann Church, St. Eugene (the former St. Mark Church) in Liberty Boro. She worked for many years as a medical secretary for Health America. Elaine was a very religious person and loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.

He was born December 28, 1941 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Leroy and Martha (Daihl) Woodring.  Richard was a Pennsylvania Licensed Insurance Agent and worked for Szeiler and Associates. Woody also enjoyed hunting and fishing, Penn State and Steelers football games, as well as other Pittsburgh sports. But he always said that "the Pirates were just a Farm Team for the New York Yankees!"

Elizabeth A. “Liz” (DiVencenzo) Koch, 75, of Blythedale, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023. She was born on February 4, 1948. She was the devoted daughter of the late Anna DiVincenzo. She graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School and started a lifelong career in the medical field. She began her career working front desk for Dr. William F. Ryckman, Family Medicine in Sutersville, PA, in 1992 she moved on to work for Hematology and Oncology Associates doing front desk and billing, then finally found her favorite workplace in 2002 with Dr. Robert N Mitro, D.O. and partners at Associates In Kidney Disease & Hypertension, which later became P.I.N.E. and her place of retirement. She excelled in her career and built lifelong friendships with her coworkers along the way, many of which became family to her. She was a proud Italian and adored her small home in Blythedale where she loved cooking out and having picnics with family and friends under the grapevine pergola in her yard. She was lovingly referred to as a “crazy” cat lady and adored and spoiled her cats Girly and Toby.
She is survived by her lifelong partner, Norman Paul Manzini of New Eagle, family-friend, Veta Gallingane(daughters Avah and Emmah) of Blythedale, best friend, Deanna Hodge of Pittsburgh, Cousins, Herman Spinelli of Greensburg, Ron Spinelli of Elizabeth Township and Pam (Spinelli) Hasley of Elizabeth Township, and countless work friends who loved her beyond measure. She was proceeded in death by her Grandfather, Nicola DiVincenzo, Grandmother, Filomena(DiClaudio) DiVincenzo and her very closest aunt and uncle, Herman and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Spinelli who she lovingly referred to as daddy and mommie.
