Richard Andrew "Rich" Belsick, 67, of McKeesport, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2020. He was born February 27, 1952 in Belle Vernon and was  the son of the late Andrew Edward  and Olga Helen (Studnicki) Belsick. He was a man of strong faith and was a  member of Mary, Mother of God Parish (St. Patrick Worship Site) and was a member and Eucharistic Minister at the former St. Martin DePorres Church. He worked for 32 years as a welder for US Steel Irvin Works and loved his job. Rich was a Second Degree Knight of Columbus, a history buff,  and loved westerns and his Polish heritage.

Patricia Anne Gasda, 68, of Cumberland, RI, formerly of Elizabeth Township passed away Friday, January 24, 2020. She was born January 11, 1952 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John J.  and Louise M. Barrick Gasda. She was born in McKeesport Hospital (one of the first babies born there), graduated from Duquesne High School, obtained her Bachelors and Masters of Education from Carlow College. She was a member of St. Michael's Parish in Elizabeth Twp. Patricia taught at St. Clare of Assisi School in Clairton and St. Sylvester School in Brentwood until she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She was a devoted daughter and sister and had taken care of both her mother and sister.

Raymond F. Wolf, 91, of Glassport, died peacefully, surrounded by family on January 22, 2020. Ray was born on December 10, 1928 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Hilda (Moritz) Wolf; his brothers, Anthony and Leonard Wolf; and sister Dorothy (Wolf) Meehan. Ray is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Resvosky) Wolf; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Kathleen Wolf; daughter and son-in-law Linda and Alfred Zangrilli. Beloved Pappy to Meghan and Jaime Wolf & Annika and Mario Zangrilli. Ray and Kathleen were married in 1960, and happily celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary last November. Ray was a source of quiet strength throughout his life and in the lives of his family.

George  J. Rocknage,  93, of McKeesport, PA, formerly of Steubenville, OH, passed away at home on Sunday, January 19, 2020. He was born May 23, 1926 in Steubenville and was the son of the late James (Dmitar) Rocknage and Helen (nee Rokos) Rocknage. He was the husband of the late Mika (Reznicak) Rocknage. George was a life long member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church in Steubenville , and served as an officer of the church for many years; as well as a charter member of the Petar Krstich Choir and the Holy Resurrection Men's Club. The past 6 years, George was a devout member of the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in McKeesport, beloved by all! He was also a life-long accomplished bowler. George worked in many varied fields, from working as a general laborer for Starvaggi Coal, and as a Water Engineer for the Jefferson County Water Department; also was a long-time custodian for the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church.

Peggy Page Comer Sepcic, 91, of McKeesport passed away Friday, January 10, 2020 peacefully at home. She was born on June 4, 1928 in Shenandoah, VA to the late Franklin and Fannie Comer. She was the wife of the late James George Sepcic, who passed away October 19, 2017. The youngest of 14 siblings who grew up in Shenandoah, Va, Peggy was a strong, caring woman who was already driving at age 14 because, as the last sibling home, she was responsible for taking care of her mother. Peggy was always a sharply-dressed, loving, & welcoming woman who always had a pot of coffee on the stove and an extra plate at her table so no one ever left her home hungry or without good conversation. Until Peggy became ill, she was active member of many organizations including the board of the Liberty Presbyterian Church, an executive member of the McKeesport Hospital Women’s Committee, and a volunteer EMT for the Liberty Borough Ambulance service.  Peggy was loved & revered by all who knew her.

Eleanor Lynch Anater, 79, of White Oak, died on Wednesday January 1, 2020 at Jefferson Hospital after surgical complications. Ellie was born in Pittsburgh on September 11, 1940 to Ida (McGrady) and William J. Lynch. She grew up on Chislett Street in the Morningside neighborhood of Pittsburgh with her younger sisters, Bea and Marge, always by her side. She met her devoted husband, Tom, while they were both students at Duquesne University, where she earned her B.S. in Biology. They married at St. Raphael’s Church in Morningside in 1963. Together they had six children: Mark, Michael, Susan, Sharon, Patrick, and Tim. She was a devoted member of St. Angela Merici Parish for 47 years. She was selfless in serving her parish family and its school. She was their long-time Parish Secretary and Director of the Junior Ladies of Charity.  She was in charge of flowers and church decorations for every important date on the liturgical calendar for as long as memory serves.

He was born January 19, 1927 in Freeport and was the son of the late August M. and Daisy (Johns) Thalman, Sr. Pastor Thalman was a former Pastor of Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth. He was a member of the Elizabeth Volunteer Fire Co., and was a former chaplain at the Veterans Administration Nursing Home in Butler. He was a Pastor in area churches for over 50 years and was also a WWII US Navy Veteran. For his service, he received the Pacific Theater Ribbon, the American Theater Ribbon and the WWII Victory Medal.

Mildred L. Clawson, 88, of New Eagle, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019. She was born August 9, 1931 in Smithfield and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mattie C. (Werner) Clawson. Mildred worked for the former Murphy Mart in Pleasant Hills and the former G. C. Murphy Co. in Clairton. She retired after 45 years of service. She is survived by her nephew, Dennis L. (Donna) Clawson of New Eagle and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Hershel Clawson and a sister, Doris Kivador. There is no visitation.
