Gary Edward Czapor, 76, of North Huntingdon, formerly of White Oak, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024. He was born October 13, 1947 in McKeesport and was the son of Annette Helen (Novitski) Czapor and the late Edward Czapor. Gary was in the first graduating class of 1965 of Serra High School and would go on to attend Slippery Rock University, where he was a member of Alpha Chi Rho. Gary worked as a guidance director for over 30 years at Serra Catholic High School, where he was a longtime track coach as well. He had previously worked at St. Elizabeth School in Pleasant Hills. He was a fisherman and also loved to hunt. He was known as a great gardener and cook as well. He was an avid reader, who was known to read a newspaper cover to cover. He will be greatly missed.

Cindy worked as a kitchen manager for The Holy Family Institute for many years and had also worked for Achieva and Old Navy. Cindy was a lover of nature and the woods. She also enjoyed hunting and fishing. She had attended Port Vue Methodist Church. Cindy loved her family and lived for her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

She was born August 5, 1931 in Star Junction and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Edna Haney. Barb was the wife of the late Angelo Joseph Mincone, who passed away July 6, 2006. She had worked for over 45 years in the cafeteria of Elizabeth Forward High School, where she was affectionately known as "Barb the lunch lady" before retiring in 2006. She will be greatly missed. There will be no visitation. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry S. (Jim) Hayton; grandson, Walter (Jen) Hayton IV; and great-granddaughter, Amanda Hayton. John Herbert Anderson, 82, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 2, 1941 in Seneca, South Carolina and was the son of the late Edgar Coleman and Lydia Alice (Blackburn) Anderson. He grew up in China Grove, North Carolina and graduated from China Grove High School. He furthered his education at Wake Forest University and earned his P.H.D in Physics from the University of Virginia. John would retire after 38 years of service as a Fellow Scientist at The Westinghouse/Bechtel-Bettis Power Laboratory. He was a faithful and active member of The First Evangelical Free Church in McKeesport. John loved his family and his church. He loved classical music, books and computers. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Lorna Lynn Anderson; daughter, Gayla Lynn (R. Darren) Gessler; granddaughter, Madalana Gessler and extended family and friends.

Marilyn J. Bohman, 90, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, at home surrounded by her children. She was born December 24, 1933 in McKeesport, and was the daughter of the late George W. Sr. and Marie V. (Peterson) Nelson. She was raised in Port Vue and graduated from McKeesport High School in 1951. She attended and was a member of the Choir at Augustana College where she met her future husband of 57 years, the late Wenzel L. Bohman on the student bus to a college football game. They were married on September 12, 1953 at the former Tabor Lutheran Church in McKeesport, he passed away on September 24, 2010. She was employed for over 20 years in the office of the Lutheran Service society of Western Pennsylvania. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, White Oak, where she served as choir director for over 40 years. Also a member of the Worship and Music Committee serving as chair. She was also head of the Altar Guild and a long time member of the Women of the ELCA's Ruth Circle at Faith. A long time volunteer and board member of the McKeesport Meals on Wheels and a former President and member of the Markvue Manor Women's Club. She enjoyed her regular get together's with longtime neighbors and friends at Panera.

James Stephen Makosey, 88, of Irwin, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024. He was born August 19, 1935 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John and Mary (Telesko) Makosey. He was the husband of the late Ellen (Gross) Makosey who passed away February 15, 2019. They were married for 55 years. Jim was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and served as a pilot in the USAF Air National Guard. He worked at the Bettis Atomic Power Lab, Latrobe Steel and was a manager at the Harbison Walker Research Center in West Mifflin. He co-founded McKeesport Auto Body, owned and operated a classic car dealership, and carried out industrial consulting. He was very proud of the home that he built for Ellen's and his retirement. He was a great husband and father, loved to joke and pull pranks. He had a lifelong passion for golf and classic cars.
