John C. "Jack" Ryan, 90, of North Versailles formerly of Elizabeth Twp, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019. He was born November 8, 1928 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John A. and Mildred (Monath) Ryan. He was the husband of the late Thelma Fay (Van Kirk) Ryan who passed away in 1976. John was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War and worked in financial services for many years. He was very proud of three things he got to do in life, owning a Model T and being part of the Model T Club in Dallas, taking flying lessons and flying out of Rostraver Airport, and his vast Civil War Membrobillia Collection.

Margaret Elizabeth (Wargo) Matta, 94, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Versailles, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019. She joins her husband, the late Joseph D. Matta, Sr, who passed away July 18, 2007. Margaret was born March 4, 1925 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Dobransky) Wargo. She was an amazing person who truly lived for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved us all unconditionally and made each of us feel special and important. She will be remembered as a wonderfully creative and dedicated homemaker who loved her family deeply and gave so much of herself to everyone she cared about. During WWII, she aided the war effort by working at the US Steel Christy Park Works in McKeesport that were converted to produce Ammunition Shells. She was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Christy Park.

She was born December 30, 1932 in Port Vue and was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Elizabeth Taylor Mclean Roberts. She was the wife of the late John W. Sowa, who passed away February 6, 2008. Delphine was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in West Mifflin and worked many years as a nursing assistant. She loved playing cards, especially Pinochle, going to Kennywood and riding the Jackrabbit and Thunderbolt, and going to Pirates games, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.
