Thomas Robert Ballas, 56, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully Sunday May 22, 2016, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 14, 1959, in McKeesport. Tom owned and operated Norwin Clock Repair for more than 25 years, servicing each customer with great care. More recently, he worked side by side with his brother, Bill, as a web developer at BNS Web Creations.

Myrl Thomas Anderson, 82, of North Huntingdon died Sunday May 22, 2016. He was born December 15, 1933 in Connellsville, a son of the late Charles Thomas Anderson and Alice M. (Schultz) Hood and was also preceded in death by his wife Arra (Gray) Anderson; step-father Samuel Hood and a grandson Bruce A. Jaffre Jr. He was retired of U.S. Steel, Homestead and was a member of Ardara United Presbyterian Church.

William D. Harr Jr., 82 of Greensburg, died Friday May 20, 2016. He was born August 16, 1933 in Homestead, a son of the late William D. Sr. and Anna Mary (Higham) Harr and was also preceded in death by his first wife Wilda R. (Walker) Harr and a sister Virginia Louise Shephard. Bill retired after over forty years’ service from Bell Telephone Co. / Verizon as manager of network operations. He was a member of First United Methodist Church Irwin, Shidle Lodge, No. 601, Free and Accepted Masons, Irwin, where he served as worshipful master in 1984, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Pittsburgh, and Syria Temple, Pittsburgh.

Millie (Zivkovich) Fox, 96, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Concordia of Monroeville. She was born March 16, 1920 in West Wilmerding, a daughter of the late Nikola and Sava Kosich Zivkovich and was also preceded in death by her husband John M. Fox, and siblings, Judy (the late James) Jeremias, and, Michael Sr., Lawrence (the late Martha), Nick Zivkovich Jr., and Theodore and George Zivkovich who died as infants.

Ralph Waltemire Jr., 88, of Delmont, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away May 12, 2016. He was born August 16, 1927 in Clymer, the son of the late Ralph Waltemire Sr. and Clara Hollis Waltemire. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of over 62 years, Alice Irene Kirkland Waltemire; brother, Charles Waltemire; sister Catherine Brandon; and grandson Clayton Ciocca. He was a member and elder at First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Bushy Run American Legion Post 260.

Naomi “Auntie Putz” Grace Phelps, age 83 of North Versailles, passed away on Thursday May 12, 2016. She was born to the late Robert Beiswenger and Sarah Gottlieb Beiswenger on July 15, 1932. Family and friends were Naomi’s passion and delight. She grew up spending summers and vacations on Lake Erie and traveling the world as an adult. Naomi was an avid life master bridge player and real estate agent.

John A. Haraburda, age 91, of Lady Lake, Florida, formerly of North Versailles, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016. He was born August 30, 1924 in Braddock, a son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Cesnak) Haraburda. He was a World War II Army veteran and worked as a manufacturing engineer for over 42 years for Westinghouse. He was a Long time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Versailles and a member of the masonic lodge #375 in White Oak for over 50 years.

He was born June 8, 1937 in Greensburg, a son of the late John and Emily (Brush) Yohman and was also preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Kull and his brother John “Jack” Yohman. Henry was a member of Men’s Prayer Fellowship, Shidle Lodge, No. 601 Free and Accepted Masons, Irwin, and the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 236, Irwin. He was retired from Lawson Products.

She was born November 19, 1926 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Leskovac) Buzek. She worked as a sales clerk for over 20 years at the Gimbel Department Store in the East Land Mall, and was a long time member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport.

Jim was a Vice President at Cavok, a division of Oliver Wyman Inc., Keller, TX, and had retired as the Director of Flight Standards Service for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with twenty-seven years’ service.

She was born October 24, 1948 in Guthrie, OK, a daughter of the late Claude A. and Freda P. (Reed) Redeker and was also preceded in death by her fiancé Bernard O’Bryan. She was a medical technologist for over forty years having retired from Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. Cheyrl was a 1966 graduate of Norwin High School. Surviving are her children, Kacey C. Ebbitt of White Oak and Zachary J. Ebbitt (Heather) of North Huntingdon; a brother Rick Redeker (Stefanie) of Irwin; also her furry companion Max.

Mary Jane (Reese) Castellow, age 75, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was born January 29, 1941 in St. Mary’s, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Harold and Ruth (Moore) Reese. She was a physical therapist in the Army during the Vietnam Conflict, and went on to create a physical therapist program at the Tarrant County College in Hurst, Texas. She is survived by her son Glenn (Mary) Castellow of Kill Devil Hills, South Carolina; two grandchildren; brother Harmon W. (Ruth) Reese; niece Kathryn I. (Gregory) Greco; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
