Evelyn M. Galliford, 70, of North Huntingdon died March 17, 2024 at UPMC East. She was born November 13, 1953 in Natrona Heights, a daughter of the late James and Edna Kunkle Burns. She was a member of Miller United Methodist Church. Prior to her retirement, was employed  as a billing and coding specialist at UPMC. She enjoyed cooking, canning, baking, camping, taking Sunday drives, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, James Burns III and sister, Helen E. Gamble. She is survived by her husband, Robert, two sons, Eric Platt (Rebecca) and David Platt (Kimberly), daughter, Crystal Castiglione (James), grandchildren, Hannah, Sophia, Jordan, Joshua, Samuel, Noelle, and sister, Carol Pittman. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. James W. Patricia A. Lydon, age 80 of Larimer died March 16, 2024 at her home with her family by her side. She was born June 2, 1943 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Edward and Pauline Poelcher Morch. Pat was a retired supervisor at PNC Bank. She was a member of Circleville Global Methodist Church. She was an active volunteer at the Larimer Volunteer Fire Department, St. John's United Church of Christ Food Bank and a supporter of White Oak Animal Safe Haven. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband John Hines, and second husband Richard "Swede" Dahlstrom. She is survived by her two sons Edward Hines (Sandy) and Jeffrey Hines (Debbie), grandson Nicholas Hines, and sister Paulette Wright.  Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at Circleville Global Methodist Church with interment to follow at Irwin Union Cemetery. John Charles Callahan, 81, of Versailles, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024. He was born May 26, 1942 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Celestine "Chuck" and Agnes (Pipp) Callahan. John retired from ELG (Steelmet) after 30 years of service and was a US Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was always quick with a joke and was loved by all who knew him. He loved his family and friends and was very proud of his children. He was a avid Steeler fan and enjoyed watching Westerns. John was a member of the White Oak American Legion.

Dane Robert Longanecker age 64 of White Oak, PA passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, surrounded by family. Beloved father of Patrick(Crystal) and Christine and grandfather of Alyssa, Taylor, and Grayson. Brother of Mark (Sandy) and Todd (Darla), sister-in-law Michelle, and his nephew Robby. Dane is also survived by the mother of his children, Josie Ryan, and many friends and family. Dane was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred Reifer Longanecker. Dane held many titles throughout his life, but his favorite role was being both a father and a “pap pap”. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, and adored his children and grandchildren. Dane had a 40 year career in car sales and loved music, golf, and playing the guitar. James W. Lois M. Martin, 102, formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away on March 3, 2024 in Appleton, Wisconsin.  Born in Boston, Pennsylvania on June 16, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Martin K. and Mary Alice Frederick (nee Spiker).  Her husband, Jack E. Martin, preceded her in death in 1999. Lois attended schools in Versailles and McKeesport before working for Brenner Photo Supply in McKeesport.  She also received photography training at the Eastman Kodak Company located in Rochester, New York.  Lois enjoyed backyard bird watching, gardening, and delighting in her flowering dogwood trees.  She also loved to dabble in several crafts.  Lois would often send her creations to family members who never knew what they would find in the boxes, but never doubted they were made from and sent with her unconditional love.

Eleanor Marie Konick Pelletier Zic of Scottdale, formerly of White Oak, passed peacefully on March 12, 2024. Born in Farrell, PA March 31, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Barbara Krivach Konick. She was the wife of  Frank N. Zic. She was a member of the St. Patrick Parish in Christy Park. She graduated from the Rankin School System in 1953. She was employed by Jaison’s in McKeesport and was a private secretary to a Vice-President of Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh. Past member of Mount Vernon AARP and the National AARP. Member and Tour Director of the Elizabeth Twp. Senior Citizens, member of the Croatian Lodge #146, member and kitchen chairperson of the Pensioner’s Club, and member of the Renzie Park Seniors, Boston Commons Life Span, and participated in the UPMC “Center for Healthy Aging” program. Co-owner of the E-Z Needlecraft Shop in Boston. A longtime member of the American Sewing Guild. Performed many charitable works for the Cancer Society, Kane Hospital in McKeesport, the Norman Schwarzkopf Child Center in Florida, and the Peace Lutheran Church in Greenock. She did dedicated work with the Elizabeth Twp. Meals on Wheels, where she worked in the kitchen, delivered meals, and contributed much of her handiwork to her clients. She enjoyed working with the computer.

John J. Andrejchak, age 82, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away peacefully at home Monday, March 11, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. John was one of four children of John Andrejchak of Slovakia and Mary (Lenart) Andrejchak of West Mifflin. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Richard, of Dravosburg. John was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish in Elizabeth Twp. He was employed his entire life int eh steel and coke industry, first at J&L Steel, then later LTV Steel. John lived a quiet and family-centered life. He was a model Lionel train collector and loved sharing his displays with his grandchildren, Anastasia Andrejchak and Maryn Hilliard, and his great-nephews, Josh and Michael Muehlbauer, and great-niece, Georgia Smith. John enjoyed 1950s music – the oldies – and the years spent at family camp in Slippery Rock. John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pauline (Naperatz) Andrejchak; son, Scott Andrejchak of Penn Hills and daughter, Lisa Andrejchak of Elizabeth Twp.; sisters, Mary Agnes Sakanich and Audrey Jukubovics; nieces, Melanie Naperatz Muehlbauer and Anita Jakubovics Smith; and nephews, Duane Sakanich, Jim Sakanich, Ricky Andrejchak, Jeff Andrejchak and Joey Naperatz. A special thank you to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, especially Tracey and Tela, and Dr. Richard Toth for their loving care and support. Gerald A. Reese, Jr., age 67 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born February 1, 1957 in Washington, PA, he was a son of the late Gerald A. Reese, Sr. and Bonnie (Leichty) Reese.  Gerald worked as an electronics technician for ManMarc, LLC of North Versailles and more recently with Dollar General.  He will be remembered as a kind, caring, and spiritual man.  In his spare time, he was an avid reader and outdoorsman, who preferred muzzle loaded firearms to do his hunting.  He is survived by his siblings Gayle (David) Thomas of Pittsburgh, Brian (Melissa) Reese of Brownsville, and Eric (Sharon) Reese of Forward Twp.; and also his niece and nephews: Jeffrey, Matthew, Mallory, Shawn, and Evan.  Besides his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his niece April.

Wilhelmina E. “Nina” Trappen, age 84, of McKeesport, formerly of Whitehall, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at The Palms of McKeesport. Born in Bunola, PA, on January 15, 1940, she was the daughter of the late John and Martha (Jenkins) Crocci. She was a retired sales clerk at Kaufmann’s in Pittsburgh with 25 years service. She was of the Catholic Faith, loved to sew, feed the animals, do needlepoint and canning. 

 Nina was the wife of the late Edward G. Trappen Jr.; mother of the late Matthew Trappen; sister of Martha (late John) Lowry of Ohio; and sister-in-law of Barbara (late Jm) Kubes of West Mifflin. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Jane (late Albert) Niedermeyer, Gerry (late George) Rusnak, John (late Judy) Crocci, Patricia (late Edward) Gibbons, Josephine Solada, Francis McClellan, Cecelia, Jack McClellan and Gaylord Crocci. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and her niece and caregiver, Eleanor and Martin Steimer.
