Christina Jo O’Leary

By Strifflers Family Funeral Homes | Posted in: Strifflers Family Funeral Homes

Christina Jo O’Leary, age 75, of White Oak, PA, died on Monday, March 10, 2025. She was born in McKeesport, PA, on December 2, 1949, and is the daughter of the late Elmer D., Sr. and Bernice Douglass Montgomery. Christina graduated from South Allegheny High School and worked as the Chief Billing Clerk at McKeesport Hospital during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. She transitioned to the life of a mother and homemaker, while assuming part-time positions in a variety of areas during the rest of her working years. Christina’s healthy life was damaged by a postpartum depression following a miscarriage, which then spiraled into a chronic bipolar condition that she battled for the remainder of her life. Despite the torments and challenges of her condition, she also had extended periods of near normal health and she worked hard to meet the needs of her family during those times. No matter how far out to sea her mental storms drove her, she always found the strength and courage to find her way back to at least be in sight of land and of those she loved and who loved her deeply. She was deeply loved and she will be deeply missed.
