Helen Wrona, 89 of Elyria, OH, formerly of Liberty Boro, died April 1, 2019. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Wrona and beloved wife of the late John Wrona. Helen is survived by her sons Joseph (Anna) Wrona of Elyria, OH and Stanley (Terrie) Wrona of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren Mark, Steve (Kristy), Chester (Kaila), Elizabeth, Joshua (Sarah), Nathaniel (Bonnie) and Kaitlyn and great grandchildren Joseph, Adlyn, Carson, Luke, Audrey, William and Kennedy. Helen was a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish. Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Fri. from 4 to 8. A funeral mass will be held Sat. 10:00 am at Queen of the Rosary Parish with Father Miroslaus Wojcicki. Interment following New St. Joseph Cemetery.

Joseph S. Nemeth, EdD, PM, a nationally known educator and reading expert and long-time resident of Bowling Green, OH, passed away on April 1, 2019 at his home in Perrysburg, OH. Dr. Nemeth was born in Glassport, PA on February 22, 1925. He is survived by his wife, Elvira (Balku) Nemeth with whom he enjoyed nearly 65 years of happy marriage, his daughters Mary Anne Nemeth (Joseph Phillips), Ann Arbor, MI and Dr. Julie (Richard) Shockley, Wellesley, MA, and sons Joseph S. (Joann) Nemeth Jr., Las Vegas, NV and Michael A. (Dana) Nemeth, Bowling Green, OH. He had six grandchildren: Joseph S. Nemeth III, Cassandra (Nemeth) Jackson, Samuel, William, and Harrison Shockley, Cole and Miles Nemeth, and two great-grandchildren, Jadyn and Jonah Nemeth. He was the son of the late Arpad and Mariska (Borso) Nemeth. His brother, Aladar Vilmos Nemeth, and sister, Jolan (Nemeth) Rogers, pre-deceased him.

John J. Maticko Jr., 88, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at his home. He was born April 25, 1930 in Van Voorhis, Pa., a son of the late John J. and Anne Billie Maticko. Prior to his retirement, John was general manager for WEDO Radio Station and a member of St. Agnes Parish. He was an avid flea marketer and loved to tinker with electronics and cameras. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Maticko. He is survived by his wife, Harriet Kusmierek Maticko; daughters, Maria Brockman and Roseanne Maticko. Ronald worked for US Steel National Tube in McKeesport and after retirement worked as a courier for The Greensburg Tribune Review. He was a member of the Jacktown Ride & Hunt Club, the Hahntown Fire Hall, the Italian Miners Club and was a founder of Norwin Soccer for which he was honored.

Dolores J. “Dee” “Tootsie” Shipley Morgan, 82, of East McKeesport, passed away Saturday March 30, 2019. She was born October 3, 1936 in Mt. Washington, a daughter of the late Christof and Grace (Deal) Shipley and was also preceded in death by her husband Robert R. “Dick” Morgan Sr.; a son David Edward Morgan; a son in law Donald Berger; and brothers Paul, Ralph, and Robert Shipley. She was a former employee of East Allegheny School District and a member of Linway United Presbyterian Church, North Versailles, where she served as a Deacon and Elder and was a member of the Tuesday Ladies. She was a past president of Ma’s Pantry, a former Forbes Hospice volunteer, and a former Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed ceramics and at one time operated Morgan’s Ceramics East in East McKeesport. She loved bowling and bingo and was a member of the University Bowling League for many years. She had attended the south Side School of Nursing before marrying her husband and raising her family. She is survived by her children Cindy (Martin) Busija, Rick (Shari) Morgan, Sally Rettger (Jeff), Kathy Berger, and Patty (Sean) Marks; her grandchildren Jennifer (Jason) Posey, Samantha Morgan, Martin (Laura) Busija, Robert Morgan III, Rachel Rettger (Michael) , Jessica Berger, Chad Rettger, Ian Marks, and Nathan Marks; her great grandchildren Kyle and Natalie Grace DePugh; a sister Mary Lou (Martin) Fichtenmayer; also nieces and nephews.

Born in Duquesne, April 17, 1926, he was the son of the Late Eli Vojnovich and Mary Stipanovich. Mr. Vojnovich He was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, McKeesport. He was a retired proprietor of Butch’s Wonder Bar. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Beloved husband of the Late Elizabeth “Betty” Vojnovich, he is survived by his loving son Thomas Vojnovich of Florida, two brothers, Donald (Milena) Vojnovich of North Huntingdon and Eli Vojnovich of Duquesne, a sister-in-law Dolores Vojnovich of North Huntingdon, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Douglas G. Vranish, 61, of Irwin, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019. He was born July 9, 1957 in Johnstown, a son of the late Milan and Beverly (Brown) Vranish. Doug was the owner of Doug Vranish Plumbing and Heating and was a member of Christ The Light of the World Church, Duquesne. He was a car enthusiast and an avid Pittsburgh sports team fan. He enjoyed visiting the City of Pittsburgh, loved cutting grass, being Evander's pap pap, spending time with his family and had a larger than life personality with a sense of humor to match. Regis John Yuhas, 67, of Duquesne, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in UPMC Montefiore. Born on June 7, 1951, in McKeesport, he was the son of the Late Joseph John Yuhas and Virginia Marie Colby. Mr. Yuhas honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Yuhas enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, and watching baseball. He especially loved the music of CCR. He is survived by his loving brother and sister, Daniel (Yvonne) Yuhas and Cheryl (David) McGeehan, and several nieces and nephews who will sorely miss him. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Yuhas Reilly.
