Robert "Bob" Terrence Williams, Sr., 54, of McKeesport, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 24, 1970 in McKeesport and was the son of the late James Terrence Williams, Sr. and the late Geraldine Lynn (Pickford) Williams. He was a gypsy soul, who was always on the move. Bob was a lover of music, no matter the genre and enjoyed going to concerts. He was a very personable and happy person, who loved his friends and family, especially his kids and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

John E. Cain, age 74 of North Huntingdon, passed away on August 20, 2024, at Forbes Hospital.  He was born on June 25, 1950 in Greensburg, a son of the late Paul Richard and Mary Elizabeth Stankowich Cain.  John was a 1968 graduate of Franklin High School prior to his service in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  Prior to his retirement, John was employed as a metallurgist at the Bechtel Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin. John was a member of St. Agnes Church and also an avid outdoorsman. He always looked forward to hunting, fishing, and camping.  He was a talented woodworker and loved to work on new projects.  In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Cain.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Kistler Cain, one son, John Cain, one daughter, Christine Buhr (Kenny), one sister, Sandra Hood, and two grandchildren, Charlotte and Hank.  Friends will be received at the James W. Florence “Flo” Ganchuk, 97, of Glassport died Tuesday August 20, 2024. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Martha (Wisniewski) Jablonski and beloved wife of the late Steve Ganchuk. She is survived by her daughter, with whom she lived with,  Kathy (Bob) Miskanin of Glassport; sons Steven (Judy) Ganchuk of Liberty Boro, and Tom (Debra Ann) Ganchuk of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Aaron, Bethany, Kristin, Steven, Michael, David, Jennifer, Luke, Perry and Jospeh; also many great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Wiech.  Flo was a cafeteria worker for South Allegheny Elementary School in Glassport and a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish.  We would like to thank Family Hospice for all the help they have given us but especially Chaplin Marlena, our nurse, Tracy and Tela, our aide.  We would also like to thank Norma for everything she has done for us.  Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8. A funeral mass will be held Friday 10:30am at Queen of the Rosary Church with Father Tom Burke. Interment following at Calvary Cemetery.

Dorothy M. Brookhouser, 98, of Gibsonia, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024 surrounded by love and her family. She was born November 18, 1925 in Huntington, WV. She was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Margarette (Metzler) Boyer. She was the wife of the late Charles W. Brookhouser who passed away September 3, 2001. Dorothy was a member of the Boston United Methodist Church and the choir. She was also part of the Butler's Ladies Golf League and the Elizabeth Forward Community Chorus. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the former Preschool for Exceptional Children. She was a Bomb Inspector at the Christy Park Works during WWII and had received certificates for her service to the war effort. She was a retired dental assistant working 30 years for Dr. Charles Jones. Dorothy saw beauty in everything expressing that joy as an amateur artist in painting and poetry.

Burek, age 76, of North Versailles, died August 19, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital McKeesport.  Born October 23, 1947, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late John and Paulina (Korzeniski) Burek.  John worked for Westinghouse in Quality Control and was an Army Veteran.  He enjoyed spending his leisure time playing darts and pool, sharing a cold beer with his friends, and listening to the music of Elvis Presley, whom he adored.  A devout Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan, John found joy in cheering on his favorite teams during game days.

Timothy Zalac, age 59 of Elizabeth Township, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family  on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.  Born January 14, 1965 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Steve and Dorothy (Yuhas) Zalac.  Timothy was a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen #9, current owner of Rinnie's Place in Perryopolis, and former owner of The Sweet Spot Bakery in Rostraver Plaza.  He is survived by his wife Kimberley (Harris) Zalac; his daughters Virginia "Boomchadakizmo" and Jennie "Bobennie" Zalac; his sisters Sandra Boden, Michelle Concha, Connie Rossetti, Stephanie Boden; his brothers David, Craig, Gerald Fortney, Stephen; his brother-in-law Chuck Harris; and nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James Fortney.   Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Park W. "Bill" Tarbell, age 91, died August 17, 2024, at Riverside Care Center of McKeesport.  Born July 13, 1933, in Braddock, PA, he was the son of the late Park W. and Grace (Jarvis) Tarbell and the husband of the late Mary Jane (Ethridge) Tarbell.  Bill retired from the B & O Railroad, where he worked for over 45 years.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving our country for over 40 years.  He was a member of the White Oak American Legion Post 701, the Renzie Seniors, and a former member of Kephart United Methodist Church in McKeesport.  Bill enjoyed a monthly wing night with his Navy friends at Gianna Via in Caste Village, duck pin bowling in the Archer League in Glassport, and visiting family in Missouri.  He also enjoyed golfing, puzzles, cards, and trips to the casino.

Paul Rito Ceresa, of North Versailles, peacefully passed on Satuday, July 27, 2024, the eve of his 96th birthday, with his loving family at his side.  He was the devoted husband of the late Teresa (Zamosky) Ceresa. Loving father of Paul D. (Mylah Rakoff) Ceresa, James (Kim) Ceresa, Sharon “Shari” Smith, and Chris (Michele) Ceresa. He was known as “Poppies” to everyone, particularly, Paul Jeremy Ceresa, Brittany (Chuck) Coley, Daniel Rakoff, Ivy (Jason) Karlin, Adrian (Andrew) Miller, David Ceresa, Lindsay (JR) Pusey, Michael (Lisa Kornick) Smith, Rachel (Ben) Eaton, Christopher Ceresa, and Elainna Ceresa. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.

Paul was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served his country during the Korean War. He was a beautiful artisan stone mason and electronics technician. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Wilmerding Moose, and Sub Alpine. Paul was truly dedicated to his family and left a lasting legacy of love.

Ralph E. Schillaci, 76, of Elizabeth, died Aug. 18, 2024 at home surrounded by his dearest loved ones.  He is the son of the late Ralph and Mary (Pensenstadler) Schillaci.  He is survived by former wife Penny Schillaci; daughter Stacy (Mark Kelley) Schillaci; son Anthony Schillaci; his grandson, whom he adored more than anything, Kayden Kelley; sisters Judy (the late Ralph) Johnson and Josie (the late Frank) Soldate; his beloved dogs Keisel and Kali; Cousins Dan Schillaci; Don Schillaci; Joe Schillaci; & Lou Schillaci; as well as his numerous nieces and nephews .  He was preceded in death by sisters Terry (Jim) Webber and Marilyn (Nick) Borrelli.  Ralph was an avid golfer with a pure passion for the game. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and took great pride in his profession (& family) at Kaiser Permanente, his Italian heritage, his hometown of Glassport, and his amazing community of friends. Family was truly everything to Ralph and he always made sure his loved ones knew that.

Donald Trbojevic, 93, of Glassport PA, passed away peacefully on August 18th at Southwestern Veterans Center in Highland Park, PA. He is survived by his son Ted Trbojevic (Pam) of Glassport, daughters Vaune McGinn (the late Shawn) of Lincoln Borough and Kathy Trbojevic of Sewickley, PA.  Stepchildren Andrew Grese of Pymatuning PA and  Diane Carr (Ken) of Coulter.  Grandchildren Mike Denne (Katie) of Loveland OH, Cailtin McGinn of Sutersvillle, Brett McGinn (Brittany) of Lincoln Borough, Cory Trbojevic (Sally) of Lawrenceville, Sara Trbojevic (CJ) of Lawrenceville, great grandchildren Olivia, Elise, Kenna and Addison.  Step grandchildren Jon Ruzich, Jason Ruzich, Andy Grese, Darla Grese, the late Kelli Grese, nieces and nephews.   And his favorite canine companion (his boy) Coco. Preceded in death by his wife Kathryn (Bowers) Trbojevic and son Johnny Trbojevic, mother Anna (Mihalko) Trbojevic and father Rade (Ted) Trbojevic, sister Doris Hanna and brother George Trbojevic. Donald “Pap” was a 1949 graduate of Glassport High School.  He served as Sergeant in the US Marines during the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart.  Pap was employed by the Copperweld in Glassport and later was a self-employed landscaper for many years.  He enjoyed working, hunting, gardening, farming, his family, Coco, and his homestead.  Pap will always be remembered for his unwavering sense of humor and his resilience. The family wants to extend their appreciation to the entire staff of the Southwestern VA for the wonderful care they provided to Pap during his stay.

James S. Francis, Jr., age 51 of Parma, OH and formerly of South Park, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024.  Born May 21, 1973 in Pittsburgh, he is a son of Andrea (Golashewski) Francis of Clairton and the late James S. Francis, Sr.. A security guard at the Cleveland Plain Dealer, James enjoyed drag racing and working on/driving his lifted truck.  Most importantly, James's family will remember him as a very supportive person who was always there for life's big events.  They will remember him as a loving son, brother, and uncle and will miss him dearly.  Besides his mother, he is survived by his sisters Victoria (the late Marc(companion James Currance)) Mirenna and Diana Lynn (Mark) Mosco of Van Voorhis; his nieces and nephews Joel, Justin, Jacey, and Jerzy Mirenna and Kayla, Willie, and Dominic Mosco; and his maternal grandfather Jon (the late Helen) Golashewski. Besides his father, James was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, the late Elmer and Mildred Francis.

Joann Cathryn Patterson, 58, of McKeesport, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 3, 1965 in Penn Hills. Joann attended Penn Hills school district where graduated as a valedictorian in 1983 and subsequently attended the University of Pittsburgh where she obtained her bachelors degree focused on child development.

Joann worked for many years as a social worker for Circle C youth & family services, the former North Versailles K-Mart as a store associate, the PA Department of Welfare as an income maintenance caseworker and Seneca Retirement community as a CNA. When Joann wasn’t working a double you could find her at one of her grandchildren’s sporting events from baseball & softball tournaments to cheer & dance competitions. Joann spent years as cheerleading coach for the McKeesport Little Tigers, served on the board for the McKeesport Girls softball league and enjoyed spending any remaining time in the day with her family. She will be greatly missed by friends, coworkers and family.
