Irene Fenton Laura, age 90, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at St. Anne Home, Greensburg.  She was born June 13, 1925 in Boquet, PA, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Marie S. Anderson Fenton.  Irene was a member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church, McKeesport and deeply loved and cared for her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, M. George Laura; siblings, Cecil Fenton, Lois Auden and Gladys Barnhart.  She is survived by her son, William Terry Laura and his wife, Barbara, daughter Janet Dranko and her husband, Dennis; six grandchildren, Jason (Amy), Chip, Chad, Bryan, Christopher and Jennifer; and 12 great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the James W. He was a former Boy Scouts assistant leader who traveled to Filmont, New Mexico with his troop.

Roy E. Miller, age 88, of White Oak died April 27, 2016 in UPMC Mckeesport Hospital. He was born April 29, 1927 in McKeesport, a son of the late Roy and Frances Ihly Miller. Roy was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon. He was a graduate of Waynesburg University and was formerly employed by General Motors as an Accountant. He enjoyed woodworking, refinishing furniture, yard work, gardening and spending time with his family. Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Miller. He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Ann Harvey Miller , four sons, John (Donna), Douglas (Patricia), Mark (Jamie) and James Miller, one sister Catherine 'Kay" and her husband David. 6 grandchildren, Tyler, Bella, Gavin, Mackenzie, Katie and Lexie. Shawn P. Murray, age 36, of North Huntingdon, passed away April 22, 2016 at his home. He was born November 21, 1979 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of David and Patricia Shaul Murray. Shawn was a lightning rod installer for J&G Lightning Protection Co., and was a member of St. Agnes Parish, North Huntingdon. He was a graduate of Norwin Senior High School, Class of 1999 and graduated from Triangle Tech in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. She was born June 14, 1931 in McKeesport, PA, a daughter of the late John and Mary Kuzma Kmetz. Prior to her retirement, Dolores was an administrative assistant for the University of Pittsburgh and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Earl R. Byers Jr., age 89, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Briarcliff Pavilion, North Huntingdon.  He was born May 25, 1926 in Glassport, PA, a son of the late Earl and Madge Hunt Byers.  Prior to his retirement, Earl was a chief aviation mechanic and was a veteran of the US Air Force.  He was a member of the Ridge Runners Trailer Club and McKeesport Gun Club.  He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.  He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Jane Thomas Byers; children, David and his wife, Lenore, Donna Baker and her husband, Dennis, Lori Higginbotham and her husband, Bill, Kevin Byers and his wife, Mary Ruth; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the James W. Jennie R. Serro, 94, of Woodstock, Georgia, formerly of Sarasota, Florida and Irwin, Pennsylvania passed away on April 13, 2016 at the Woodstock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Jennie was the daughter of Albert Frowen and Bertha Kellar Frowen of Herminie, Pennsylvania. Jennie grew up in Herminie and met her late husband, Martin Serro, there. With Martin, she owned and operated the Irwin Trailer Sales before retiring in 1975 and moving to Sarasota, Florida in 1980. Jennie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
