Vilma (Babik) Pulica, 91, of Duquesne, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 in St. Angelo Manor, McKeesport. Born July 7, 1925, in the Czech Republic, she was the daughter of the late Pavel Babik and Vilma Slaborova. She was the beloved wife of the late Imrich Pulica. All services were private and entrusted to the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home.

Maria Carmella (Delle Donne) Meglio, 85, formerly of West Mifflin, died peacefully Tuesday, August 30, 2016, in McMurray. Born December 17, 1930, in Rankin, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Congo) Delle Donne. Mrs. Meglio was a faithful member of Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin. A former cashier at the Braddock Hills Giant Eagle and a member of the ISDA. Loving mother of Donna Meglio of Canonsburg and Jack (Lisa) Meglio of Melbourne, FL. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Jack and Nichole Meglio; two great grandchildren, Kylie and Madison; and a sister, Lee (Rich) Trankocy of North Versailles.

Helen E. (Morgan) Sabol, Age 77, of West Mifflin, suddenly fell asleep in the Lord at home on Friday, August 5, 2016. Born January 31, 1939, in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Neubauer) Morgan. Mrs. Sabol was a faithful member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church Duquesne, a retired customer service associate of the former Hills Department Store in West Mifflin and loved gardening.

Pauline (Bednar) Sloss, 89, longtime resident of Willow Drive West Mifflin, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016, after a long debilitating illness holding her daughter's hand at Kane Reginal, McKeesport. Beloved mother of Robert Morgan Sloss, Jr. of Elizabeth, Cynthia Christine Sloss of West Mifflin and Bruce Paul Sloss also of Elizabeth; loving grandmother of Robert of Seattle, WA, Eric of Aspinwall, Nathan of Kansas City, MO, Jeff of Bel Air, MD, Brett of Pittsburgh, Morgan of West Mifflin, and Marc of Mt. Washington; also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Luke, Alanna, Tessa, Jacob, Julie, Kevin, and Ryan. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Audrey A. Bihary, 77, of Duquesne, peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2016, in Charles Morris Rehabilitation Center, Squirrel Hill. Born March 11, 1939, in Duquesne, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Kuprok Bihary. She was a faithful member of Ss, Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne, and the Parish Club, were she was very active in fund raising and raffle ticket sales. She was also a member of the Allegheny County Retirees Association, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in McKeesport and enjoyed bowling in the "Morning Glories Bowling League and a past bowler of the Tuesday Night SS. Peter and Paul League.

Born in Duquesne, October 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Maria (Teczak) Cmar. She was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin. Beloved wife of John Slepecki, she is also survived by two loving daughters, Marylin (Michael) Borza of Virginia Beach, VA. and Audrey (Nicholas) Touloumes of Mechanicsburg, PA.; a brother, Andrew (Audrey) Cmar of North Huntingdon; 4 grandchildren. 2 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Cmar and a sister, Helen Klich.

She is survived by three sons, Jerry Gilmore of Maryland, Robert Gilmore Jr. of Duquesne, and Francisco (Frank) Gilmore of South Carolina; two daughters, Teresa Gilmore of White Oak, and Kimberly Deabner of Fayette City; one brother, Ralph A. Yanez of North Huntingdon, and one sister, Virginia Link of McKeesport.

Michael Bereznak, 92, of West Mifflin, peacefully at home on Monday June 20, 2016. Born July 18, 1923, in Matovce, Slovakia, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Makita) Bereznak. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne, and a retired Dispatcher for the Port Authority of Allegheny County. Mr. Bereznak was a proud Veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in World War II.

"Flash" Gregory Shields, 53, of Duquesne, Died peacefully at home, on Sunday, June 5, 2016. Born in McKeesport, September 26, 1962, he was the son of the late George and Pauline (Hrizo) Shields. Flash was an employee of Kiczan Manufacturing in North Versailles. Flash was the husband of the late Cathy "Poss" Shields. He is survived by two brothers; John and Bruce Shields, a sister; Toni Vranick, Aunts, Nieces and Nephews and a very special friend; Shannon. Besides his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by a brother; Steven Shields.

Beloved husband of the late Anna Kovac Novak, he is survived by two sons, Tim (Linda) Novak of Fayetteville, NC., and Paul (Mary Beth) Novak of Whitehall; a daughter, Shirley Weitzel of Reynoldsville, two brothers, Cyril Novak of RI, and Andrew Sandor of CA; a sister, Mary Ann Klaczak of MD, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was also preceded in death by a son, Elmer Steven Novak.

John L. (Johnny the Love Jacket) Fait II, 33, of West Mifflin, died unexpectedly on Monday, February 29, 2016. Born in Pittsburgh, July 18, 1982 he was the beloved son of John L. Fait Sr. and Peggy (Riggar) Fait. John was an officer in the Mifflin Social Club and a social member of the Duquesne VFW Post 188 and Homeville Volunteer Fire Company.

Theodore R. "Ted" Barker, 85, formerly of Duquesne, died peacefully, Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at the Southwestern Nursing Center. Born June 26, 1930 in Duquesne. Son of the late Albert and Janet (Smith) Barker. Mr. Barker was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish, Duquesne and a proud US Navy Veteran serving for over 25 years including the Korean Conflict. Mr. Barker was a founding member of the Duquesne Auxiliary Police, the Duquesne Little League and Pony League.
