Donald “Don” Blair Wagner, age 89, of North Versailles died peacefully at home Wednesday, December 23, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born October 15, 1931 in Mapleton Depot, a son of the late Martin and Kathryn Wagner. Don was an Army veteran that served during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the American Legion.

He and his wife were the proud owners of Lemco Electric. For over 60 years, he generously served his community and went out of his way to provide excellent customer service. He truly enjoyed the relationships he formed serving his loyal customers. He also enjoyed bowling, watching sports and spending time with his family.

Junius “Jay” Breitinger, 74, of Irwin, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020.

He was born October 1, 1946 in Owensboro, Kentucky, the son of the late Harry and Anna Louise (Meadows) Breitinger. Jay was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church, Sewickley Township, and a proud Navy veteran that served during the Vietnam War. Throughout his working life Jay was a police officer in Washington D.C., a steel worker for U.S. Steel, McKeesport, and a truck driver for Munson Trucking.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and celebrating the 4th of July with family enjoying fireworks. Jay liked traveling, and took many trips visiting Kentucky and enjoyed good Kentucky Bourbon.

Dolores J. (Szurgot) Kurp, age 91 of North Versailles, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020. She was born March 30, 1929 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late John and Adele Szurgot.

She was a long-time member of Mary Mother of God Parish, formerly known as St. Robert Bellarmine in East McKeesport and was an avid bingo player.

She is survived by her children Joan (Ronald) Bacco of White Oak, Judith Kurp of Monroeville and David (Paula) Kurp of Gibsonia; grandchildren Mark (Valerie) Bacco, Jaime Bacco, Bryan Kurp and Tyler Kurp; Great grandchildren Mia, Noah, Audriana and Samuel Bacco; and many nieces and nephews.

Rena (Urban) Bryan, 77, of Wilmerding, passed away Wednesday December 9, 2020. She was a daughter of the late John J. and Antoinette “Ann” (Padula) Urban; mother of the late Tom Tebroski and sister of the late Gilda Urban.

She was a longtime cook at Nigro’s Restaurant and then, along with her family, opened Rene’s Restaurant in East McKeesport in 1987. After retiring from the restaurant she enjoyed working at Sam’s Club in Monroeville. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Colman Church, and was a huge Steeler fan.

Albert G. Moore Jr., 91, of Irwin, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020. He was born July 3, 1929 in Wilmerding, a son of the late Albert G. Sr. and Hazel C. (Mellinger) Moore and was also preceded in death by his sisters Helen Davies and Margaret Short and a nephew Larry Davies.

He was a charter member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church, a member of Shidle Lodge No. 601 F. & A.M., Irwin, for more than 50 years, and a proud Army veteran that served in the Korean Conflict. Albert began his career as a machinist apprentice at Westinghouse Air Brake Company, Wilmerding.

He owned and operated Moore and Shaver Machining, New Stanton, and prior to his retirement worked as a salesman for REM Electronic Supply Co. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed riding his bike on the Yough River Trail, and would volunteer with the YRBTC to maintain the trail. Albert was an amateur archaeologist.

She was a retired employee of Westinghouse Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, West Mifflin, working for 40 years as the main secretary for the head of the nuclear division until her retirement in September 1984. She and her late husband traveled together on numerous bus trips with the North Versailles Senior Citizens Center. She was an avid cross stitcher, lover of Sodoku and working on puzzles of all types.

She was a member of Hillcrest Presbyterian Church, Monroeville in her later years and was a member of Linway United Presbyterian Church, North Versailles in her early years, singing in the church choir with Andrew and her sister Elizabeth.
