 Robert L. Heffner, 60, of Belle Vernon, died Dec. 4, 2019.  He is the son of the late Kenneth and Evelyn Heffner.  He is survived by his beloved wife Patty (Burkette) Heffner, daughter Heather Heffner; son Robert K. Heffner; grandchildren Kaylee, Maleena, Layla and Chase; brothers Allen Heffner and Ronald (Rebecca) Heffner; goddaughters Arizona and Victoria Archibeque; also nieces and nephews.  Bob was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed camping, boating and the outdoors.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Sat. Dec. 14, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 at which time a funeral service will be held.  Interment will be held Mon., Dec. 16, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth.

Scott A. Wisneski, 47 of Port Vue, died Nov. 30, 2019.  He is the son of Robert Wisneski and Terry (John D'Angelo) Woytovich.  Scott is survived by his son Tyler S. Marie Truby Grantz

Marie Truby Grantz, 92 of West Mifflin and a former Glassport resident of 47 years.  Marie was born in Glassport May 13, 1927 to the late Frank C. and Elizabeth (Jenets) Truby.  She was a 1945 graduate of Glassport High School.  She retired after 21 years with Tygart Industries in payroll and accounting and stood her ground as her feisty self when questioned.  Marie loved her garden of roses and tomatoes and her dark chocolate. As a member of the greatest generation she was very patriotic and would fly her flag for every holiday.  She was truly an amazing women.  Reunited in heaven, at last, are Marie Grantz and her beloved husband Bob.  They had shared 59 wonderful years of marriage.  She is survived by her daughter Cynthia L. Corey and son-in-law Daniel W. Corey.  Her daughter was her best friend and became even closer after Bob’s passing. She is also survived by her loving nieces Joan (Jack) Jenkins; nephews John “Jack” (Susan) Truby and Richard “Rick” Truby; great nephews John Truby, Joshua Truby and Jeffrey Jenkins.

Angelo Guiseppe "Shoes" Schinosi

Angelo Guiseppe "Shoes" Schinosi passed peacefully at the Southwestern Veterans Center, on Monday, November 18, at age 88, of Glassport. Husband of Arlene (Shuster) Schinosi, father of Joe (Odile) Schinosi and Jodi (Jerry) Tyskiewicz. Grandfather to Kayla, Jake, Madeleine, Noelle, and Jean Luc. As well as an adoring uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law to Donna Titus, Dee Schinosi, and Hank Bonadio. Preceded in death by his parents Luigi & Angelica (Pezzano) Schinosi, his brother Louis Schinosi, sisters Louise (Corky) Tacik, Viola (Robert) Lusa, and Josephine (Tony) Rondinelli. Angelo was a United States Marine and combat Korean War Veteran. Retired from the Copperweld Corp. and Allegheny County. During his time at the Copperweld he served as a union steward and president of his local union. He also served the Glassport community as a councilman. Angelo was an usher at St. Cecilia, a member of the Sons of Italy, and the American Legion. He will be remembered most by his love, kindness and generosity to family, friends, acquaintances, and animals. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff at the Southwestern Veterans Center for the past years. Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Queen of the Rosary on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11am. A celebration of his life will follow at the Sons of Italy, Glassport.

Terry P. "Chookie" DiMarco, 68 of Glassport, died Nov. 13, 2019.  He is the son of the late Dominic and Virginia (Toborkey) DiMarco.  He is survived by his beloved wife Rosanna (D'Angelo) DiMarco; son Keith (Amy) DiMarco of Glassport; daughters Tanis DiMarco (Shawn Kennedy) of Elizabeth Twp. and Elizabeth DiMarco (Cory Chesher) of Dormont; grandchildren Katelyn, Tristan, Matt, Faith, Justice, Lexis, McCade, Krystian and Kassidee; brother Bill "Chookie" (Pat) DiMarco of Glassport; sister Sharon (the late Joseph) Kestler of Elizabeth Twp; loving companions Riku and Mugsey; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. 
 
Chookie was retired from Allegheny County and was a member of Glassport Council.  He was the former Mayor of Glassport; a member of the Glassport United Methodist Church; Mason 32nd Degree; Shriner and the first member of the Vina March Senior Center. 
 
He was a member of many softball, bowling, pool and dart leagues and was known as the "Keno King" at the Meadows.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Sun. from 4 to 6 at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Michael Airgood. 
 


Clara B. Palumbo

Clara B. Palumbo, 86 of Liberty Boro, died Nov. 7, 2019.  She is the daughter of the late William and Blanche Borkowski and beloved wife of the late John Palumbo. 

She is survived by her sister Genevieve Borkowksi; brother Edward Borkowski and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by brothers Benjamin, John and Joseph Borkowski and sisters Cecilia Borkowski, Laura Mihalovich and Gertrude Wojton. 

Clara was a retired secretary for US Steel National Tube and was a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish.

Lowell E. Gregg, of Glassport died November 3, 2019. He is the son of the late Floyd and Doris (Sharpneck) Gregg. He is survived by his beloved wife Carol; daughters Doris (Anthony) Haywood of Mckeesport and Tammy (Daniel) List of White Oak; sons Brian (Jennifer) Gregg of Glassport and David (Heather) Gregg of Glassport; grandchildren Anthony Jr., Brian Jr., Sara, Olivia, and David Jr.; and great-grandchild Sophia. He was preceded in death by his son Wayne. Lowell worked for U.S. Steel and drove for Access for many years. He was past a member of the Elizabeth Boro Fire Dept. and also a lifetime member of the Glassport Citizen's Hose Co. #1. Friends received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport. A service will be held at 7pm by the Glassport Fire Department.

Michael E. Easter, 73 of McKeesport died Oct. 11, 2019.  He is survived by his beloved wife Diana (Vilakos) Easter; son Michael Easter, daughter Melissa Easter; grandchildren Triston Easter, Summer Thaxton, Cameron Easter and Jamison Easter; brother Charles Easter; sister Penny Easter; also nieces, nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-laws.  He was preceded in death by his son Brian Easter and sister Becky Rogers.  Michael a retired welder for GM Fisher Body for over 23 years, was a member of the American Legion in Glassport and served in the US Navy.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Thurs. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.  A funeral service will be held Fri. 11:00 am in the funeral home.  Interment following Round Hill Cemetery.

 


Dean "Milo" Trbovich

Dean "Milo" Trbovich, age 66, of Glassport, passed away on Oct. 5, 2019.  He was born on July 7, 1953 to the late Milan and Mary (Kovac) Trbovich.  He is survived by brother Ken; sister Aleta Spallone; nephews Mark (Holly) and Brain Spallone; Mark's children Gavin and Rachael, cousins, aunts and uncles.  After graduation from South Allegheny High School, he went to work at the QuikPrint Company and then moved on the USS Clairton Works, from which he retired.  He was a decent, honest man who lived life on his own terms and who loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors in general.  We will miss him  greatly and his passing leaves a huge void in our hearts.  Friends received Wojciechowsk Funeral Home, Glassport on Thurs. Oct. 10 from Noon until 1:30, at which time a funeral blessing will be held with the Very Rev. Stevan Rocknage.  Interment following Jefferson Memorial Park.

 


Florence Worek Michaels

Florence Worek Michaels also known as "Flo, Matka, Mom and Nini", our Lord called her home Oct. 1, 2019 at 93 years of age she was born March 31, 1926 and lived in Glassport all her life. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband George, they were blessed with 61 years of marriage. 

She is survived by her son Kenneth (Alice) Michaels of New Bern, NC; daughters Geralyn (David) Sefchok of Cheshire, CT and Bonnie (James) Leasure of Harrison City; granddaughters Sarah Sefchok, Caitlin and Julia Leasure; granddogs Rusty and Maxie; sister-in-laws Aleen Michaels, Mary Ann Worek and Mary Bifano and was preceded in death by her son George Michaels; brothers Joseph and Stanley Worek and sister Wanda Ropar.  She was a loving wife and mother who truly put her family first. 

We will miss her compassionate, caring and loving presence.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Belfiore Sr. She is survived by her daughter Vicki (Joe) Hoffman; sons Douglas (Marlana) Belfiore, and Timothy (Dee) Belfiore; grandchildren Christopher, Kristin, Steven, Austin, Hunter, Brianna, David, Logan, Andrew, Patty, Malek, and Lana; and also 6 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Seargeant, 76, of Glassport, died Sept. 18, 2019.  She is the daughter of the late James and Hazel (Smith) Hott.  She is survived by her daughter Tammy Hott; grandchildren Cheyenne Hal, Natalie Hall, Lydia Hott, Kathlenia Werner, Christa Werner, Alan Werner, Lacey Malburg and Gage Harmon; great grandchildren Chazdine Harmon, Penny Merret and Mason Merret; daughter-in-law Kim Werner; sister Linda (Bob) Etling; also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded  in death by her son Robert "Bobby" Williams Hott.  Lydia was a member of the Glassport Assembly of God; Ladies Auxillary Post 443 and volunteered at the food bank.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home Mon. from 2 to 4.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Bai Cai Lu, 60, of Glassport, died Sept. 1, 2019.  He is survived by his wife Mei Ling Lu; daughters Wei Yee Lu and Wei Mon Lu.  Bai Cai was the owner/operator of China Park Restaurant in Glassport, and he loved gardening. He spent his last days surrounded by family & died without pain. Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Sat., Sept. 21,  2019 from 9:30 am until Noon.  Interment following Homewood Cemetery.
