  John R. Hagblom, 87, of West Mifflin died Thursday November 26, 2020. He is the son of late Henry and Anna Hagblom. Beloved husband of the late Florence Eileen (Shemago) Hagblom. He is survived by his son Richard (Wendy) Hagblom, granddaughter Nichole (Eric Jeffcoat) Hagblom, and great-grandchildren Anthony Swink, Zoey Jeffcoat, and Eric Jeffcoat Jr. He was preceded in death by his sister Virginia Robins. John was retired from Westinghouse Bettis, a member of St. Joseph Church, GBU Lifespan and the Duquesne Annex Firehall where he volunteered at the bingo and firemans fair. Richard “Dick” Karstetter, 74 of Duquesne, formerly of Clarksburg, VA, and Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the Locust Grove Personal Care and Memory Care in West Mifflin. He was born in Richmond, Virginia on August 17, 1946 to the late Robert and Vivian Bussard Karstetter. Richard was the loving husband of 15 years to the late Nancy Karstetter. He is survived by his brother Steve (Jean) Karstetter of Elizabeth, daughter Carol (Dale) Tunison of Toledo Ohio, son Anthony Lytle of Michigan, granddaughter Hannah (Cody) Rickman, grandson Maxwell Tunison, and nephews Robert (Cara) Karstetter, Scott (Jodi) Karstetter, Terry Lee Edwards, Chad Edwards, and great-grandsons Cooper and Caden Rickman. Richard was preceded in death by his sister Connie Edwards. He worked as a welder for several years and was later promoted to supervisor. He was the son of Barbara Williams, Janice Brownfield, and the late Meredith Brownfield. Mr. Williams graduated from McKeesport Highschool in 1983. He then enlisted and served 25 years in the United States Marine Corps. He received his Bachelors in Business and Masters in Public Administration from Strayer University.

Mert, a man of many talents and passions, spent his free time hunting, fishing, and creating joyous moments with his loved ones. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend. As a member of Zion Baptist Church, Mr. Williams would graciously provide the fish for the church’s annual fish fry.

Cadena, age 83 of Clairton, passed away at home on Sunday, November 22, 2020.  Born October 3, 1937 in Clairton, he was a son of the late Alfred and Emma (Hrvacic) Cadena.  A former Pennsylvania National Guardsman and member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish (the former St. Joseph's Church, Clairton), Alfred worked for many years in buildings and facilities department at US Steel - Clairton Works.  He had an extreme fondness for cars, whether it be their repair, collection, or even the die-cast models.  He had a passion for westerns, classic country music, and old time television, especially Perry Mason and Gunsmoke.  Alfred was a handy person who was always available, and happy, to help.  But most importantly, his family will remember his as a generous soul who dearly loved his family.  Besides his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by his sisters Emma (John) Berchok and Lillian (the late Lewis) Martini.  He is survived by his sister Bernadette (the late Sylvester) Mazza; his nieces and nephews Michele Mazza, Jeffrey (Megan) Mazza, Brian (Gwen) Berchok, Jacqueline E. (Joe) Ciotti Herrle, Mark (Sally) Martini, and Lisa (Bryan) Smith; and his great-nieces-and-nephews Brian, Jocelyn, Olivia, Madeline, Lilliana, and James.

Karen L. Hoffman, 62, of Jeannette, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.  She was born April 22, 1958 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Frank and Carol (Kudman) Venzon.  Prior to her retirement, Karen was a dietary cook for Seton Hill University.  She enjoyed playing softball, basketball, hunting, hiking and especially spending time with her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Venzon.  She is survived by her husband, Larry Hoffman Sr.; sons, Larry Jr. and Christopher Hoffman; daughter, Haley Hoffman; brother, Frank Venzon; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Amanda, Skylar, Serenity and Damian.  Friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. on Monday at the James W. Cynthia Ann Langford, age 61, of Port Vue, died Thursday, November 19, 2020. She was born in McKeesport, on January 21, 1959 and is the daughter of the late Ralph Joseph Delmaster, Jr. and the late Mary Stojakovich Delmaster.

Cynthia loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook and always fed people when they came to visit.

Joseph A. Gricar, age 62, of Versailles, died November 17, 2020, at UPMC McKeesport.  Born May 15, 1958, in McKeesport, he was the son of the Matilda (Como) Gricar and the late Frank Gricar.  Joseph was a lifetime member of the Versailles Boro. Volunteer Fire Department where he was a past Chief and President.  He retired from the Allegheny County Jail and was also a Pennsylvania State Constable.  He was a third degree master Mason at the John A. Brashear Lodge 743 and a member of the Sons of Italy in Glassport.
