Eileen E. Slinchock, age 86 of Port Vue, passed away at home on Monday, May 1, 2023. Born September 26, 1936 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Kapuska) Poturich. A retired bank secretary for McKeesport National Bank, Eileen was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Eugene's Site. In her spare time, Eileen loved to go on trips to the beach and lay out for hours in the sun. She also loved to crochet, do crossword puzzles, and read. However, most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Eileen joins her husband, the late Albert Slinchock, who passed away April 3, 2002. She is survived by her children Larry (Joann Binnie) of Plum Borough, Lisa (Dale) McCune of Wall, Cindy (Alvin) Rivera of Tampa, FL, and Lynn (Robert) Wargo of Port Vue; her grandchildren Dale Andrew, Garlan (Jennifer), and Zachary (Christina) McCune, Sydney, Mackenzie, Hayden, and Ethan Stec, and Brandon and Nikki Wargo; her four great-grandchildren Alexandra Black and Madison, Connor, and Wyatt McCune; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Eileen was preceded in death by her siblings Nicholas and Edward Poturich.

Maureen Lewis, 82, of Sarasota, FL, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023. She was born in Elizabeth, PA on October 8, 1940 and was the daughter to the late Daniel and Anna Mae (Thornton) Lewis. She worked many years as a Bank Manager for SunTrust Bank. She was a huge Steelers fan and loved cooking and playing golf. th, 2023, at UPMC Monroeville East. She was born in McKeesport on June 7
th, 1957, to the late John and Janet (Langsdorf) Ross. Janet was the loving wife of 43 years to Leon Mack. She is survived by her husband Leon as well as sisters Brenda Lee Ross of McKeesport, Sharon Orbin of Glassport, and Nancy (Steve) Callahan of McKeesport. Further survivors include multiple nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her parents as well as siblings Debra Callahan and John Ross Jr. She was a nurse’s aide for various companies and enjoyed playing bingo. Charlotte C. Linn, age 102, of Dravosburg, died April 30, 2023, at Canterbury Place. Born June 12, 1920, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Charles Raymer and Pearl (Witt) Raymer-Culp and wife of the late William A. Linn. In the 1950's and 1960's, Charlotte was an active Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary member and planned many bingos. She also enjoyed traveling to places and organizations around Pittsburgh to play bingo. One of her favorite places to visit was Las Vegas, where she could test her luck at the casinos and hopefully come home a winner.

Linda Anne Muster, age 74 of Clairton, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023 at home. Born July 29, 1948 in Placentia, Newfoundland, and was a daughter of the late Randolph and Molly (Rose) Murphy. Linda worked as a sales associate at Joseph Hornes Department Store in Century III Mall and then as a bank teller with PNC Bank in Clairton. She was also an auxillary member of the Daniel Keffer American Legion Post # 75, Clairton. Linda is survived by her fiance' of 29 years Gerald A. Ward; her sons Richard (Greta) Muster of Clairton and Randy (Sherri) Muster of Bristow, VA; her daughter Tina (Craig) Pracht of Mars; her grandchildren: Kaylee, Loren, Sara, and Ian; her great-grandchildren: Willow, Ruby, Lilly, and Jackson; her great-great-grandchildren Liam and Scarlett; and her siblings Randy, Allen, and Rick Murphy, Peggy Wilson, Yvonne Noseworthy, and Jackie Murphy. James G. Nevin III, age 85, of Forward Twp., passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at home. He retired as the owner/operator of Nevin Trucking in Forward Twp. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth and a former member of Bethesda United Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth, where he and Lois were married Nov. 1, 1957. He was a 50-year member of Stephen Bayard Masonic Lodge 526 of Elizabeth, a senior member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry for 50 years, and a member of the Syria Shriners. He was owner of Erickson & Nevin Motorsports and loved competing at Motordrome, Jennerstown and Clearfield speedways. He enjoyed tending to herds of cattle in Forward Twp., as well as the associated responsibilities of farming. Born August 18, 1937 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late James Gordon Nevin Jr. and the late Marian (Ferver) Nevin. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lois S. (Sorg) Nevin; sons, Ralph (Linda) Nevin of Forward Twp. and Billy (Janine) Nevin of Elizabeth Twp.; grandchildren, Natalie (Brian Thurmon) Conte, Aimee (Alex) Matscherz, Amelia (Nate Rozek) Nevin and Justin (Ashley) Nevin; great-grandchildren, Haylee Marcione, Brian Thurmon, Zoe, Kai and Ila Matscherz, and Aubree Nevin; sister-in-law, Wilma Nevin of Ligonier; also, nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald Michael Bajus, 77, of Munhall died peacefully at home on April 27th, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Duquesne High School and attended The University of Miami, Florida post graduation. Donald was drafted into the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam War earning an honorable discharge. A local business owner, Donald was the former proprietor of Sujab’s Bar on Main Street in Munhall. Always the sports and statistics enthusiast, Mr. Bajus was a long time sponsor of the Munhall Baseball Association and anything related to Steel Valley Athletics. Later in life, Donald served his community as a Steel Valley School Board Director for six years.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents John “Brown” and Louise Bajus and daughter Maria Elizabeth Bajus Heddleston. Donald is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Louise (Barczy) Bajus; son John Edward, wife Emily and beloved granddaughter Reagan Louise Bajus of Greenwich, CT; son-in-law Brian Heddleston, wife Katie and beloved grandsons John and Nathan Heddleston; sister-in-law Catherine McGee of West View, PA; brother-in-law Steve Barczy and wife Rosemarie of Venice, FL.
The Bajus family would also like to acknowledge the tremendous love and support from the Fetzko, Longstreth, Fatula, Barczy, McGee, Hleba, Tretinik, and Modrick families during this time. We are blessed to have you in our lives.

Robert J. Wargo, Sr., age 90 of McKeesport, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 in Jefferson Hospital. Born April 27, 1933 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Petr and Pauline Wargo. A US Army Veteran of the Korean War, Robert retired from US Steel's Monroeville research facility. He was a member of Saint Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #3, and the Archer Hill Bowling League. In his spare time he loved hunting, fishing, yard work and gardening, tinkering with cars, listening to Willies Roadhouse and Croatian music hour, and -- most of all -- spending time with his family and beloved dog, Mr. Gibson. He is survived by his wife Maryann (Volarich) Wargo; his children Robert J. Born in McKeesport on June 24, 1936, he was the son of the late Emil J. and Anna (Pavlo) Weber Sr. He was retired from U.S. Steel Homestead and Duquesne Works, was a former auxiliary policeman in Duquesne and a retired school crossing guard in West Mifflin. He proudly served his country in the Army. He was Catholic by faith, liked crossword puzzles and enjoyed life. Emil is survived by his son, David J. Weber of McKeesport. He is the brother of Rose (Vic) Naughton of McKeesport and the late Lawrence (wife Evelyn survives) Weber of Duquesne and is also survived by nieces and nephews. Harry A. James, age 66, of Johnstown, PA, died Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born on July 4, 1956, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Louise A. James. Harry graduated from McKeesport High School and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the University of Arizona, studying business and criminology. He moved to Massachusetts, where his career in the mortgage industry took off and spanned 30 years across the country. He worked for several companies but ultimately became self-employed and retired after assisting people buying homes and businesses, helping them obtain loans, closing on sales, and with all aspects of their successful search for their properties.
