Barbara Norene Wolf Kiser, age 87, of Liberty Borough, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023. Born September 12, 1935 in Ridgeway, Ohio, she was the wife of Donald L. Kiser who preceded her in death. Barbara was a piano teacher who shared her love of music with hundreds of students. Additionally, she directed children’s choirs at her churches, was an active member of adult and hand bell choirs and played piano and organ duets often. Barbara served on the Board of Directors for the McKeesport Symphony Society for many years and spearheaded numerous fundraising campaigns. She had many other interests including gardening, cooking, baking her famous apple pies, reading, and sewing. Barbara put so much love into everything that she made including quilts for all occasions, knit or crocheted afghans, baby outfits and her signature Baba lambs for newborns.

A Pastor for 20+ years at the Church of the Brethren, a talented Secular singer through the 50s & 60s, and a wonderful Gospel singer, who started and was a part of numerous groups, including the "Lovetones" with his wife, Judy. A skilled craftsman, Larry was always willing to lend a hand and offered to help with many home remodel projects. He enjoyed landscaping and planting flowers, as well as fishing.

He was born in Wilmerding on February 8, 1938 and is the son of the late Francis J. and Edith Forgie Dilmore and the husband of the late Laverne Shredl. William proudly served in the United States Marines and retired as a draftsman from Westinghouse Research. He was a member of the Logans Ferry Sportsman Club and a former member of the McKeesport Sportsman Club. Elmo J. "Jim" Gropelli age 74, of Penn Hills, passed away April 11, 2023, at home surrounded with love after a grueling battle with dementia. Born August 24, 1948, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Elmo and Betty Jane (Brady) Gropelli. He was the adored husband of Pam Gropelli for 18 wonderful years.
Jim grew up in Ross Township, working at his father's and uncle's monument company, and graduated from North Hills High School. He worked for UPS and then started his own business as a gravedigger. His business had become a trusted and reliable company in the Pittsburgh area for 44 years. Jim brightened any room he walked into with his smile and wit, and he always was good for a laugh. In his free time, he loved drag racing (watching or participating in it) and vacationing in the Bahamas with family and friends. Jim loved spending time with his grandkids always.

Eileen D. Jamison, age 95 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away at home on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Born January 20, 1928 in Port Vue, she was the daughter of the late Charles Albright Daugherty and Irene Anna (Crossland) Daugherty. A master's degree recipient from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, Eileen was a member of the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church, the Garden Club of McKeesport, and the former McKeesport Symphony Women's Guild. Eileen’s hobbies included playing scrabble and working on crossword puzzles. She had many wonderful friends and enjoyed traveling with them. She provided especially wonderful entertainment for her large family with pool parties and holiday dinners. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, the late Stephen Quay Jamison, who passed away June 12, 1981, her son Karl Q. (Lynn) Jamison, her sister Emma Jane Pattison, her great-granddaughter Alyssa Abels and her niece Irene Pattison Delaquil. Kathleen “Kathi” Ann (Swalwell) Vamosi, age 74, of Port Vue, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. She was born June 12, 1948, in McKeesport. She is survived by Alex “Shaun” Vamosi and their children Erin (Rob) Vamosi, Megan (Howard) Huss, and Nathan (Caitlyn) Vamosi, her grandchildren Noah, Scarlett and their dad Jamie Wall, Emma, Allysen, and Brenna, her sister Pamela DeMarchi, brother-in-law James Latine, niece Stacey DeMarchi, and nephews Jason DeMarchi and Dustin Swalwell. She was preceded in death by her parents Regina (Luty) and Robert Swalwell, her sister Debra Latine, and brothers Robert Swalwell Jr. and Thomas Swalwell. Kathleen graduated from Port Vue/Liberty High School in 1966 and went on to Duff’s Business School. She started her career at Duquesne University, then worked at St. Peter’s Child Development and Chee-Chee’s Resale Shop. She eventually retired in 2008 from Glenshire Woods Personal Care Home in McKeesport as business office manager. She loved her family beyond measure. She helped us all navigate life and sacrificed everything for her family. Every holiday and birthday were made special by her. She was an avid “Friends” watcher along with old movies, especially “It’s a Wonderful Life”. She and her sister Pam were die-hard Pirates’ fans, and she shared her love of the Pittsburgh Steelers with all of us. We would like to thank AHN Hospice Care, especially Christa and Leigh, who both took such great care of her and loved talking baseball with her.
