Born in Sewickley Twp., on November 14, 1934, he was the son of the late James A. and Mildred P. (Morgan) Miller. He was a retired molder from Bucyrus Erie in Glassport, a member of the Port Vue United Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion-Dravosburg, and a life member of the Youngwood Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his special friend, Linda Jean Davis, of Port Vue; 3 grandchildren, Anthony (Jennifer) Bollinger, Joseph Kruszka, and Jennifer (Nicholas) Marucci; and 12 great grandchildren.

West, 92, of Duquesne, died May 10, 2022.  He is the son of the late Oscar and Hilda (Winkler) West and beloved husband of Rhoda (Gavlik) West.  He is survived by his daughter Joy (the late David) Chickering son Harold (Anne) West, and daughter Jill (Edward) Rust; grandchildren Deborah (Ray) Townsend, David (Anila) Chickering, Danielle (Adam) Fornek, Jeremy Rust, Mandy (Eddy) Smith, and Michael West; great grandchildren Cole, Jayden, Quinn, Caylah, and Ezra; brothers Richard (the late Anna Mae) West and Kenneth (the late Beverly) West, and sister Nancy (Joe) Wilson.  Harold was a retired Pharmacist and after his pharmacy career worked as an insurance agent for Primerica.  He is a member of the First Evangelical Free Church in McKeesport; graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and served in the US Air Force.

Timothy S. Petrisko

Timothy Stephen Petrisko, 80 years old of Duquesne, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022.  Tim was born in Duquesne to the late Stephen and Helen Petrisko. He grew up with his siblings, Sean, Joel and Mary Lou.

Tim worked at the Duquesne Steel Mill until the plant began to close down. After a variety of opportunities, he went to work for UPMC and became a supervisor for numerous parking facilities. During this time, he served on the Duquesne Public Schools school board for six years. After his time on the school board, he served on Duquesne City Council for 26 years. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church Duquesne PA, where he was also a member and Past President of the Church’s Men’s Club.   Tim was also a member of the Duquesne-West Mifflin Knights of Columbus Council 4210 and the Stephen P. Barry Assembly of the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus.  

In his early 20’s, he met Carol (Yesesky) and a short time later, they were married October 19, 1963 and started a family complete with 3 children. Being a dependable father was of the utmost importance to Tim and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to supporting his family.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carol (Yesesky) Petrisko; his three children, Timothy R. (Terri) of Cary, NC, Robert (Kim) of Allison Park and Christina (Ian) Caballero of Waldorf, MD; and his five grandchildren, Tiffany Petrisko, Angelica Petrisko, Gabrielle Petrisko, Julio Caballero and Rebekah Caballero; sister Mary Lou Petrisko of Evansville, IN, brothers Deacon Sean (Ruth) Petrisko of Homestead and Joel Petrisko of West View.

Carole Bokin, age 75, of White Oak, died May 3, 2022, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born January 8, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Ann G. (Sabolcik) Molcany, the wife of the late David Bokin, Jr.  
Carole dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She was a former member of Holy Name Catholic Church. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting and painting statutes. Carole was also a collector of porcelain dolls.
Carole is survived by her daughter, Laurie Molcany; granddaughter, Brittany Gease; great-grandson, Braxton Loving.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Molcany and Patricia Robson.

Saundra was the loving mother of Eloise Womack, Carlise Womack, Gregory Broadus, Kimberly Fairley, Kendall Fairley, and David Fairley; and the adoring grandmother of numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Edith Rather, Howard Rather, Jimmy Bagley, Ronald Bagley, and Sylvia Williams. Saundra was preceded in passing by her parents, William and Eloise (Tuggle) Fairley.

Saundra was born April 26, 1955. Saundra’s faith was strong and she loved God. She was the rock of her family, and the center of her children’s world.  She liked to craft, especially for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was deeply loved, and will be dearly missed.

Jack “Pap” Edward Gereshenski, 67 of Finleyville, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at his home. He was born in Charleroi on September 7, 1954, to the late George and Alma Cullen Gereshenski. Jack was the loving husband of 48 years to Cheryl (Williams) Gereshenski. He is survived by his wife Cheryl as well as their sons Raymond of New Eagle and Ronald (Heather) Gereshenski of Monongahela. Additionally surviving are his adopted grandchildren Dominic, Kayla (Cameron), Jacob (Hailey), Laurisa (Cody). Further grandchildren include Morgan and Carly, as well as a grandchild-in-law Casea. Jack is also survived by his great-grandchildren Gracie and Brooklyn. He is preceded in death by his adopted grandchild Tyler Gereshenski and daughter-in-law Mandy Gereshenski. Jack was a member of the US Army where he served during peacetime. He was also a member of the Dormont-Mount Lebanon Sportsman’s Club as well as Wright’s United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and quad riding. He will be remembered for being a fierce family protector who would always support those he loves without a moment’s hesitation. Born in Duquesne, February 7, 1929, he was the son of the late John  and Elizabeth (Balogac) Spirnak. Mr. Spirnak was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, St. Rita Church, Whitaker and a retired supervisor of Fisher Body, General Motors Corporation and proud veteran of the U.S. Army Korean War. Beloved husband of the late Marie (Dickson) Spirnak, he is also survived by his loving children, Dale (Michele) Spirnak of Munhall, Jacqueline Spirnak of Bridgeville, Gary Spirnak of California, Donna Greiner of Indiana, Karen (Richard) Allen of Tennessee, David Spirnak of Texas and Ray Spirnak of Indiana, five grand children, Eric and Nicholas Greiner, Mark and John Spirnak, and Lauren Poland, one great granddaughter, Vivian Poland and one sister Eleanor (late "Tim") Marcinko, of West Mifflin. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by  sister, late Mary (late John) Sabol.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday May 12, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M., in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home Inc., 828 Richford Street, Duquesne. A blessing in the memorial home on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 9:15 A.M. will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Rita Church, with Rev. Nicholas Mastrangelo as celebrant. Gertrude Jane Cochenour, 95, of Elizabeth Township passed away on May 8, 2022. She was born December 28, 1926 in McKeesport, daughter of the late Edward K. and Leanora (Andrews) Spear. Gertrude graduated from McKeesport High School and worked at Westinghouse as a draftsperson until she started her family. Gertrude was an active member of Mt. Vernon Community Presbyterian Church as a member of the Women’s Association, handbell choir, nursery volunteer, church bowling league and quilting circle.  She was a great cook and some of her recipes became the “go to” recipes for many church functions. Gertrude was an avid reader, devoted walker and a passionate sports enthusiast. She was the wife of 70 years to the late John F. Cochenour, who passed away April 20, 2020.
