Alecia M. Chamboredon, age 42, of West Mifflin, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022, at home. Born in Pittsburgh on December 26, 1979, she was the daughter of Eugene “Geno” Chamboredon Sr. of Munhall and Elizabeth A “Betty” (Hilley) Chamboredon of West Mifflin. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, St. Joseph Church, and she loved her beloved Pittsburgh Pirates. Besides her mother and father, she is survived by her brother Eugene “Geno” Chamboredon Jr. of Munhall; her Pap, Caruso; and Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She will be missed by her beloved pets, Zsa Zsa and Bogie. Valeria E. (Miklos) Mattis, affectionately known to many as “Mother Val,” died on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Jefferson Hospital, surrounded by her children, at the age of 83. Born in Duquesne, PA on April 2, 1939, she was the youngest of twelve children to Andrew and Helen (Kushnir) Miklos. She married the late Michael T. Mattis on August 29, 1964. She is survived by son Michael (Amy) of White Oak, daughter Monica, with whom she resided, of McKeesport, son William (Tina) of West Mifflin and son Christopher (Paul-James Cukanna) of Churchill; grandsons Michael (Kayla), Ryan, Nicholas, and Jonathan; great grandson Michael John; sister Charlotte (Donald) Nasta of Levittown, PA; in-laws Joseph and Barbara Mattis of Finleyville, PA; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

 She was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Mattis (August, 2022), her husband and parents, her parents-in-law Michael and Anna (Hlad) Mattis, and siblings, Helen Miklos, Elizabeth Miklos, Margaret Miklos, Alexander Miklos, Andrew “Timmy” Miklos, Bernard Miklos, Virginia Miklos, Gertrude Motel, Rosalia Miklos and Philomena Demeter.

 A 1957 graduate of Duquesne High School, Valeria worked as a Tele-Typist at Fisher Scientific and later as an Administrative Assistant in the Housing Office at Carnegie Mellon University. 

 Mother Val was a strong woman with tremendous faith and perseverance. She embraced the challenges and responsibilities of raising her five children herself following the death of her beloved husband Mike, who died suddenly in 1983. She loved her family, her friends, her Catholic religion and playing board games with her family. She enjoyed having fun, laughing and joking around with those she loved. She was highly proficient at Scrabble. She kept up to date on current, worldly events. She also enjoyed playing games of chance on her iPad, and especially “taking rides” to various casinos.

 She was a strong woman who never complained and made the best of challenging circumstances throughout her life. Family was an important priority in her life that she taught her children in values and traditions, especially her favorite holiday, Christmas. She enjoyed decorating, baking, cooking and sharing the traditional Christmas Eve Slovak Vilija supper. She reinforced these values by reminding all of us of the importance of always saying the following three words, “I Love You.”

Friends will be received on Monday, October 17, 2022 and Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 2-8 p.m., at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, PA 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. A blessing service will take place at the Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in Mary Mother of God Parish at the St. Mary Częstochowa (Corpus Christi) worship site, 2515 Versailles Ave., McKeesport, PA, 15132, with her Godson, Rev. Thomas A. Nasta, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, West Mifflin.

Clyde L. Hennon Jr., 84 of Dravosburg, formerly of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, October 12^th, 2022, at Squirrel Hill Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. He was born in New Castle on November 20^th, 1937, to the late Clyde Sr. and Julia E. Owrey Hennon. Clyde was the loving husband of 47 years to Norma Jean Thompson Hennon. He is survived by his wife Norma, their son Matt (Melissa Barker) Hennon of White Oak, brother Glenn (Charlene) Hennon of Glenrock, sister Karen (Loren) Greene of Indiana, PA, and grandchildren Lennox and Duke. He is further survived by multiple nieces and nephews. Clyde was preceded in death by brother Richard. He was a member of the United States Army and served during peacetime. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Dravosburg and the First Evangelical Free Church in McKeesport, as well as a member of the former Community Alliance Church in Elizabeth. Clyde enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as completing crossword puzzles. Family and friends will be received on Sunday October 16^th, 2022, from 1-3 P.M. at I.M FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4^th St, Dravosburg, PA 15034. A service will take place at 3 P.M. at the funeral home immediately following the visitation. A repast will occur following the service at the First Evangelical Free Church in McKeesport. Loretta Lyons, 86, of Hempfield Township, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was born May 25, 1936 in East Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Wirbilia) Thomas. Prior to her retirement, Loretta was a clerical secretary for Westinghouse. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going out to lunch and dinner with her family and friends, socializing with her bowling friends, spending time with her extended family and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Lyons; brothers, Stanley, Richard and Henry Thomas; sisters, Marie Beres, Genevieve Beck, Stella Suznick and Constance Frowen. Florindo “Fred” Mariani, age 89 of North Versailles, passed away peacefully to reunite eternally with his beloved wife of 65 years, Patricia Mariani, daughters Diana and Gina Ann Mariani, and granddaughter, Gina Marie Mariani.

He was born on December 29, 1932 in Sant Angelo del Pesco, Italy, a son of the late Filomena (DiVito) and Ondivio Mariani.

Fred immigrated to the United States in 1953. He built a life filled with cherished family and friends. He ran a masonry business and was highly skilled in his trade. As a father and grandfather, he demonstrated strength, courage and the value of working hard in all that he did. Fred enjoyed regularly visiting his family in Italy, watching football, delicious food, music, and most of all, spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He set a true example of perseverance, integrity, tradition and dedication to family and faith. Fred was the pillar of love and commitment in his family— a love that continues to connect his family on earth and in heaven.

Anthony M. DiVittorio, 89, of North Versailles Twp. died Wednesday October 5, 2022. Beloved son of the late Anthony and Angela DiVittorio. Loving brother of Marie (Ben) Cifone and the late Sam DiVittorio. Brother-in-law of Maggie DiVittorio. Dear uncle of Renee (Mike) Ansell, Leslie (Rick) Ethridge, Laurie (Barry) Wyckoff, Sam (Kathy) DiVittorio, and the late Mary Jo (the late Blake) Hadley. Anthony was a Professor of Music at Duquesne University for 42 years. For 18 months he was a Cryptologist in the Army stationed in Japan. Anthony traveled to New York City every August and then to Taiwan with a friend who was an opera singer for her upcoming concert series. Also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews and many loved cousins.

Friends were received at James F. Kutch Funeral Home. Interment followed with military honors at All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery.

He was self-employed with his own Construction Company, Four Tire businesses also worked at the Copperweld in Glassport, PA, and had many other working skills. He would be known as a “Jack of all trades.”

He loved gardening, hunting, canning, his lift chair, and reading the bible, the most.

He was a president of the Three Rivers Chapter American Merchant Marine Veterans (AMMV), former president of the Mon Valley Chapter of Merchant Marines and White Oak American Legion. He was the owner of a hunting camp and was an avid deer hunter. He loved family events and spending time with family. Born August 7, 1926 in White Oak, he was a son of the late Charles and Ellen (Wilson) Driscoll and husband of the late Mary Rita (Gallagher) Driscoll. He is survived by daughter, Cynthia (Russell) Komlos of Elizabeth; granddaughters, Shannon (David) Fitzgibbons of West Mifflin and Ashlyn (Kyle Hunt) Preaux of Myrtle Beach, SC; great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Kyle Joseph Hunt, Lucille Caroline Hunt and Galen Fitzgibbons; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. Friends will be received in the Paul E.
