Joanne Alice Slachta, 77, of Port Vue, died Monday, April 25, 2016 at her daughter Michelle's home in Glassport surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 12, 1939 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Frank and Alice Kovach Behary. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Slachta who died June 13, 2008. They were married for 47 years. Joanne had worked for Wilcher News and the former Feig's Bakery in McKeesport. She loved cooking, gardening and her cherished cat, Kitty.

Rico was the owner of Mama Pepino’s Pizza in Elizabeth. He enjoyed restoring automobiles and could often be found reading or watching the History channel. Always willing to help anyone, Rico was a wonderful brother, uncle, great uncle and friend.

Shawn P. Murray, age 36, of North Huntingdon, passed away April 22, 2016 at his home. He was born November 21, 1979 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of David and Patricia Shaul Murray. Shawn was a lightning rod installer for J&G Lightning Protection Co., and was a member of St. Agnes Parish, North Huntingdon. He was a graduate of Norwin Senior High School, Class of 1999 and graduated from Triangle Tech in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Jesse; maternal grandmother, Patricia Shaul Dedig; brothers, David and his wife, Amanda, Rick and his partner, Tony; sister, Angel Schaer and her husband, Don; nieces and nephews, Donnie, Alex, Ryan, Peyton, Jeromie, Abby, Natalie and Makayla; Friends will be received on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon. Dolores "Dee" Marie Kmetz Frederick, age 84, of White Oak and Largo, FL, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at her home. She was born June 14, 1931 in McKeesport, PA, a daughter of the late John and Mary Kuzma Kmetz. Prior to her retirement, Dolores was an administrative assistant for the University of Pittsburgh and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Frederick in 2002. She is survived by her son, Mark Frederick and his wife, Allison; daughter, Lisa Frederick; and granddaughter, Amy. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.
