Pfoff, 98, of North Huntingdon,  formerly of Homestead and North Braddock, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at her home.  She was born March 20, 1922 in Homestead.  Dorothy was a member of St. Agnes Parish and enjoyed cooking and taking care of her pets.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Pfoff; brothers, Laverne and Albert Abels; and daughter-in-law, Rosella Pfoff.  She is survived by her sons, William Pfoff, Richard Pfoff; daughter, Karen Milko and her husband, Robert; grandchildren, Robert (Jen) Milko, Ryan (Tara) Milko and Stephanie (John) Novotnak; and great-grandchildren, Brianna (Jesse), Lily, Max, and Owen.  Services are private.  The family would like to thank Promise Hospice for all their compassionate care they gave Dorothy.  And a very special thank you to Michelle from Transitions for her honesty to the family.  Arrangements were made by the James W. She is survived by her sister, Jackie (Stephen) Slinski of McKeesport, brothers, Richard (Cindy) Clawson of West Jefferson Hills, and Robert J. (Beth Ann) Clawson and Charles D. (Julie) Clawson of Bunola and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Dale and Ronald Clawson. There is no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Lorraine J. (Marcus) Babyak, age 76, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020 in Jefferson Hospital. She was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp., a former lunch aid at Elizabeth Elementary School and she was an avid Steelers fan. She loved spending time with her family, never missed an episode of The Young & the Restless, and also loved cats. Born October 4, 1943 in Glassport, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Nellie (Boczar) Marcus. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Irwin “Butch” Babyak; daughter, Cheryl (Gregg) Maley of Elizabeth Twp.; sons, Michael Babyak of Baldwin and Joseph Babyak of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Bobby and Troy Maley and Samantha and Taylor Babyak; great-grandchildren, Jude Maley and Lacey Babyak; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Wirbicki and brothers, Jim and Stephen Marcus. No visitation is planned. John Francis Remetta 76, of Monroeville, formerly of Glassport, passed away peacefully on Friday May 29, 2020 at his home. He was born in Glassport on January 2nd, 1944 to the late John J. Remetta and Regina Yeash Remetta. John is survived by his brother James E. Remetta of Glassport and his nieces Regina Remetta of Pocono Mountain, and Jennifer Brown of Altoona, nephews, Loren (Noel) Remetta, and Timothy (Pam) Brown of Yadley, PA, as well as his great niece Caroline and great nephews Mateo, and Rafael Remetta of West Hampton, NY, and brother-in-law Donald Brown of Yardley, PA. John was preceded in death by his sister Clementine Brown. He was a member of the Queen of The Rosary Church in Glassport. John’s favorite things to do were to play volleyball, and racquet ball as well as follow his nephew Loren’s successful ice hockey career at Penn State University. He was an avid follower of all Pittsburgh professional sports teams. John was a huge health food fanatic and took great pride in his own health and wellbeing. He was a proud uncle and great uncle and loved his family dearly.

Winkler, 71, of Irwin, passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at her home.  She was born March 3, 1949 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late George and Betty (Rylatt) Warren.  Prior to her retirement, Darlene was a home healthcare registered nurse and enjoyed traveling.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Donna and Marsha.   She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ralph Winkler; son, Steve Winkler; daughters, Deann Hays, Darcy Peer and her husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Christopher, Collin, Michael, Kari, Kylee, AnnaBelle; great-granddaughter, Alexis; sisters, Gail Hart, Charlotte Kennedy and Bonnie Caldwell.  Services are private.  Arrangements were made by the James W. Thomas J. Eddy,  95, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 11, 1924 in Republic and was the son of the late Samuel G. and Minnie (Obertots) Eddy.   He was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Township, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Versailles Croatian Club. He graduated from McKeesport High School in 1942 and served in the Navy during WWII. He graduated from the Sonar Training Station in Key West, FL, and earned a second class petty officer rating as a Sonar Man. He served on the USS Bates at Normandy, Iwo Jima, and survived the ship's sinking at Okinawa. He was active in Sports with the Crimson and 3rd Ward Bulldog football teams, several softball clubs and as a McKeesport Umpire's Association umpire. He retired from US Steel Duquesne Works in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Regosh) Eddy. They were married in St. Peter and Paul Church in Duquesne and enjoyed 72 years of  happiness together in a wonderful marriage.

Sabol, 67, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon.  She was born May 18, 1953 in Braddock, a daughter of the late John and Pauline (Mehalik) Lesko.  Susan was a graduate of both Norwin Sr. High School and Edinboro University and was a member of St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church.  Prior to her retirement, Susan was a teacher at Stewartsville Elementary School for 30 years and touched the lives of many students.  She is  survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John Sabol Jr.;  brother, John Lesko and his wife, Christine; and sister, Janet Elias.  The family would like to thank the staff of Redstone Highlands for their care and compassion during Susan's three year stay.  Services are private.  Arrangements were made by the James W. Charles Franklin Fahlor

Charles Franklin Fahlor, 91 of Glassport, passed away on May 24, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Pittsburgh.  He was born Nov. 21, 1928 in Manorville, Pa to the late Frank Miles Fahlor and Maude Peacock Fahlor.  He was in the US Navy as a 1st class petty officer, as a radar instructor and deployed on the Newport News, a heavy cruiser.  He was also a member of the Glassport Jets Roller Hockey team; co-owner of the Palace Roller Rink in New Eagle, Pa. He worked at the Clairton Mill, then transferred to Caracas, Venezuela, where he became co-owner of a wood business called Madeira Tropical.  He worked in the family business for many years called the Glassport News Depot, which he eventually became owner of.  He also had a successful candle business called Fahlor International, Candles by Charles. He made center pieces for the University of Pitt, Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers.  He also made candles for the famous sportscasters, as well as famour actors, such as Dale Robertson, Fred McMurray and Ray Bolger, which he has photographes with.  He also was the owner of the Showboat Lounge in Glassport and the Game Room.  He was a butcher for Balsomo’s Meat Market in McKeesport.  He also drove taxi and was a driver for access.  He retired with over 20 years service as a security guard at Whemco in Homestead.

She was born May 16, 1940 in Whittakers, Nash County, N.C., the daughter of Geneva and Eddie Robinson, and moved to Pittsburgh at age 15 to live with her uncle, Lonnie Broddie, and his wife, Mary Esther Broddie.

She is survived by children Silko Renaldo Thomas, Antoinette “Toni” Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Thomas-Man; son-in-law Doug Man; grandchildren Natalia Thomas, Alicia Walker, Rico Alphonso Walker, Geneva Johnson, Lauren Alexis Thomas, Brandon Silko Thomas, Imani Man and Donovan Man; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Wilber “Uncle Mickey’ Robinson; and sisters Effie Robinson-Moore, Barbara Robinson, Dianna “Aunt Shamie” Robinson-Bobbit and Louise “Aunt Neal” Robinson.
