E. Patricia Leonard, age 87, of Elizabeth Twp., PA, formerly of McKeesport, PA, passed peacefully at UPMC East Hospital on Friday, November 8, 2024. She was born in McKeesport, PA on November 12, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Ruscin Liberatore. She retired after twenty-four years as a Special Ed Teacher’s Aide from McKeesport Area School District. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi Church and was devoted to her Catholic faith. She was also a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America Lodge #57. She was passionate about her family, enjoyed cooking and baking especially around the holiday season, and loved to entertain. She was a woman of style who was always ready for a day of shopping and she loved her trips to the casino where she was a frequent donator.

Rose Marie Kushner Palocsko, age 93 of North Huntingdon, passed away on November 7, 2024. She was born on September 6, 1931 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Stephen Beskid and Ann Liptak Beskid. Rose Marie was a graduate of McKeesport High School's Class of 1949. She was a Charter Member at St. Agnes Church where she belonged to the Christian Mothers Club. She was also a volunteer with the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Rose Marie belonged to the Circleville Firehall Ladies Auxiliary and was the first Registrar for the Norwin Soccer Club. She served as a costume seamstress for the Norwin Theater Company. Rose Marie cherished her role as a homemaker, and enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Rose Marie was preceded in death by her first husband Edward Kushner, and her second husband Edward Palocsko. She is survived by two sons, Andrew Kushner (Janeen), and Edward Kushner (Patricia), one daughter, Barbara Komondor (Michael), one brother, Frank Beskid (Judy), one sister, Nancy Priselac, grandchildren Sean Kushner, Claudia Ohrman (Joshua), Ralph Hensell, Rachael Ekberk, and Michael Hensell, and one great-grandson, Joshua Jr. Friends will be received at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Sunday from 4 PM to 8 PM and Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Charles J. "CJ" Gretz, 56, of Glassport passed away November 2, 2024 at Kane Regional Center in McKeesport after a battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Charles Gretz and Josephine (Gremaki) Gretz.
He was employed at Winzek's Catering in Glassport for many years. He enjoyed watching the Steelers and drinking his Natural Light, and also enjoyed watching older TV reruns and movies. He loved listening to Casey Kasem's American Top 40's (3WS) on Sundays.

Edward R. Brush, age 79, of McKeesport, died on November 5, 2024, at home. Born August 18, 1945, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Edward D. and Mary (Dyakon) Brush and husband of Pat (Kehoe) Brush for 52 years. Edward was a loving husband to his wife, Pat, and together, they shared a passion for family activities, especially sports events involving their children and grandchildren. One of Edward's most cherished traditions was the "Mystery Mondays" he organized for his grandkids, where he would plan surprise adventures for them to enjoy. Edward found joy in these moments of togetherness and laughter. Traveling with his beloved wife was another highlight of Edward's life. They particularly loved embarking on cruises, exploring new destinations hand in hand, creating lasting memories filled with love and shared adventures. Ed worked as an accountant for Consol Energy for over 40 years. He was a member of the Mary, Mother of God Parish, and former Knight of Columbus.

Thomas G. Banks, age 71 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024 in St. Clair Hospital in Mt. Lebanon. Born February 22, 1953 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late William Banks and Marjorie Ann (Fairbaugh) Banks Sopko. A retired store manager with the LCB/Fine Wine and Spirits stores, Thomas was also a wine aficionado and specialist holding wine appreciation events at the store. He loved to play golf, attend the summer concert series at Renzie Park, was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish, and was a longtime member of the Knights of Equity. He also loved his trips to Virginia Beach and visits to family and always made time for his daughters. They will remember him as a man who found contentment in life's simple moments and took joy in making others laugh and smile. He is survived by his daughters Katie (Seth Scott) Banks of Pittsburgh and Colleen (Jacob Lowden) Banks of Akron OH, their mother and his friend Susan Kuhns, his beloved partner Kathleen Buksar of Elizabeth Twp., his sister Barbara Zapf of Newport News, VA, his brother Lawrence Banks of North Versailles, and also nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother William E. Banks and his sister Geraldine Filson.

William Christopher Faust, age 57 of McKeesport died November 2, 2024 at McKeesport Hospital due to a brief illness. Born November 26, 1966 in Columbia, South Carolina, he was the son of Carole Ann (Nemchick) Grueso and the late William Faust.
William worked for over 12 years as a door greeter and host at Walmart of North Versailles. He had a deep love for all animals, especially his two cats, Sammy and Cinnamon. Bill leaves behind his two cats, Sammy and Cinnamon. Bill enjoyed listening to music, riding his motorcycle and participating in several charity Bike Runs through the years.

William Raymond Pack, age 80, of McKeesport died November 1, 2024 at Home. Born February 24, 1944 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Samuel Sr. and Anna Mae (Roebuck) Pack, and the husband of over 60 years to Janice (Meyer) Pack.
William served in the United States Air Force and was the former owner of a cleaning business. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, and absolutely loved his greyhounds, including his baby girl, Ariel.
