John P. Frketich, age 88 of McKeesport, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born March 31, 1928 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Paul and Barbara (Gargat) Frketich. John married his high school sweetheart, the late Katherine (Loncaric) Frketich, and together they had three children.

Rose E. Karikas, age 85 of Versailles, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 in Riverside Care Center in McKeesport. Born November 9, 1930 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Agnes (Rescic) Gluscic. Rose retired from The Golden Rule in McKeesport and was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Parish in Christy Park and the CFU Lodge #3 in McKeesport.

William J. Odoski, age 83, of Duquesne, died peacefully, Sunday, October 9, 2016, in U.P.M.C. Shadyside . Born July 14, 1933, in Duquesne, he was the son of John and Stella Odoski. Mr. Odoski enjoyed being an avid landscaper, repairing lawn mowers, and spending time with family and friends. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine C. (Kosuda) Odoski. He is survived by his loving daughter, Kimberly Odoski Harmon of McKeesport; and a son, William "Bo" (Becky) Odoski of Missouri; two brothers, Thomas Odoski of Duquesne and John Odoski of West Mifflin; five grandchildren, Ashley Donaldson, Kristie Harmon, Brooke, Brenna, and Brandon Odoski; and four great-grandchildren.

Ruth T. Andrews of White Oak, four months shy of her 100th birthday, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at The Willows of Presbyterian SeniorCare. Born February 8, 1917 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Thomas) Tonks, and loving wife of the late Frank Andrews. Ruth was a former member of the Ballantyne United Methodist Church as well as the Wesley United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and serving as the church librarian. She most recently attended Sampson's Mills Church, serving as one of their Deacons, and dedicated her free time volunteering for the various church functions. She also enjoyed her time spent as a Brownie Leader and Girl Scout Leader, and was a member of the McKeesport Music Club, along with being a charter member and past president of the White Oak Women's Club. In her earlier years, she worked in Washington DC in a Naval research lab during WWII and later went on to dedicate her time as an administrative assistant for Goodwill. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Gregory) McCullough of Monroeville; grandchildren, Jenni (Mike) Repcik and Erin (Steve) Shakoske; great-grandchildren, Lily, Cash, Emery “Emey” and Monroe “Roe”; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, George Tonks and sister, Jennett Johnson. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 1-5 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Scott Dennis will officiate. Burial will follow at McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Willows of Presbyterian SeniorCare, 1215 Hulton Rd., Oakmont, PA 15139, who provided such wonderful to Ruth. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne. He was a retired U.S. Steel Corp. employee with 38 yrs. service, Duquesne Works Metallurgical Dept. "He also proudly served his country as a Staff Sargent in the U.S. Marines, South Pacific Theater, During WWII.

Born October 22, 1925 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Joseph and Dragica Cindrich. A member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Parish in Christy Park and a US Army Veteran of World War II, Matthew retired after 34 years as a pipefitter for US Steel National Tube Works in McKeesport.

Audra A. Dudek, 48, of McKeesport, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 6, 2016 after a long struggle with cancer. Born September 5, 1968 in Hermine, she was the daughter of Steven and Hennrietta (Sames) Solomon and loving wife of Daniel Dudek. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour in North Huntingdon, where she was a council member. She proudly earned her Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration and was the manager of Adult Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Audra loved her job and will be remembered for all the lives that she touched. She had a group of friends that enjoyed scrapbooking and traveling to events where they shared many memories. Along with her husband and parents, she is survived by her sons, Daniel Dudek Jr., and Noah James Dudek of McKeesport; brothers, Ernest (Linda) Solomon of Manor, PA, William (Kathy) Solomon of Rillton, PA, and Steven (Gail) Solomon of Las Vegas, NV; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harry and Adelle Sames; and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Miriam Solomon. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, October 8, 2016, from 6-9p.m. and Sunday, October 9, 2016, from 1-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour.
