MARY KATHRYN TKOCS of Duquesne, died Oct. 4, 2016.  She was the daughter of the late Edward and Nancy (Gamble) Pirhalla.  She joins her late husband, Walter "Wally" Tkocs, who died April 21, 2005, after spending 52 years together.  In the later years, they spent 6 months in Florida and 6 months in Duquesne and Plantation Park in Mercer, Pa.  She was a bank teller for the National City Bank of Duquesne, retiring after 12 years of service.  Kay graduated in 1950 from Duquesne High School.  She was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish.  She is survived by her sons Douglas (Valerie) Tkocs of West Mifflin and Walter Tkocs, Jr. of Glassport; granddaughter Kayla (Justin Lutheran) Tkocs and great granddaughter Gianna Marie Lutheran; also nieces and nephews.  She was a cub scout den mother; a former member of the Duquense Auxillary Police; former member of the Duquesne Women's Club; former member of the AARP and a Red Hotter at the Boy Lake Estates in FL.  Kay was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Pat Lengyel.  She was a die heart Steeler and Pens fan.  She enjoyed sewing all her granddaughter's clothes, knitting and doing crafts and entering shows.  She camped every weekend at Plantation Park in Mercer.

Robert S. “Bob” Harper, age 85, of West Mifflin, died October 1, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport. Born September 20, 1931, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Septimus and Elizabeth (Weaver) Harper and the husband of Shirley (Morgan) Harper, for over 60 years.
Bob was retired from the Bechtel Bettis, Inc., in West Mifflin. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ and the Amvets Post # 8, where he served as past commander. He enjoyed Pittsburgh sports, college football and traveling with his wife.

Mary Ann Strager Mamula Popovich, 68, of McKeesport died Sunday, October 2, 2016 at home.  Born December 13, 1947 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late George J. “Scottie” and Sophie Munyas Strager and wife of the late Stoyan Popovich.  She was a retired high school French and English teacher in the McKeesport Area School District.  She was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, a graduate of Slippery Rock University, and was the administrator of civil service exams to police and fire candidates for the City of McKeesport.  She was the author of “Thy Perfect Gift”, a book of profound prayers and powerful words of wisdom, and told everyone she was a graduate of the George S. Patton School of Tact and Charm (no tact, no charm, I just get the job done).  Friends will be received in St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 10-11 AM.  A service will be held there at 11:00 AM with the Very Rev. Stevo Rocknage officiating.  Interment will follow in McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery.  Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 is in charge of arrangements.

Randy was a member of the former Street Life Car Club. He loved tinkering with old cars and boats and spending time at Deep Creek Lake.
